This little coffee house tucked away among the market stands is a tiny oasis of Viennese history. It has been here since the 60's and has survived through the many changes in the area.
The inside is cozy with display cases filled with attractive cakes. The owners are wonderful hosts! You receive very personal, friendly service here. My daughter and I were the only customers on a Saturday afternoon. I don't know if that's how it usually is, but there is a lot of seating so at one point it must have been very popular. The changing scene at Brunnenmarkt must be hard to keep up with.
The coffee was nice and my daughter loved her little bunny cake. I'll definitely come again to try some cakes and enjoy the friendly conversation with the owners. It's a bit like time travel, sitting in this little Viennese corner of the Brunnenmarkt. read more
