Five stars for a gas station?…read more Needed to fill up the boat on an early Saturday morning after a run from Kemah. First gas station? Closed. Interesting to speak to the Coast Guard at that station who said that they had to have gas brought to them. Really?? Called around and spoke to Larry at Global Marina. Put the location in the simrad and then cruised through the Louisiana bayous in search of gas. Why the five star review? When we passed the station, Larry actually called us and directed us back. Loved hearing his fish tales. Catching a four and a half pound frog. That's a really big set of frogs legs! Alligators and alligator gar. Huge bass. Redfish. Sad to hear about the hurricanes that continue to pound the Southern Louisiana coastline. Also loved the old time gas meter. Thanks, Larry, for the Louisiana hospitality and stories.

We spent a half day fishing with Capt Adams and I must say it was quite the dissappointment. The…read moreday started off with the captain being late to the dock. We were supposed to meet him at 5AM, and we were there and ready on time, but Capt Adams didn't show up until nearly 6 looking ragged like he had been up all night. When we were finally able to get out on the water, the trip felt more like a burden more than an enjoyable experience. Capt Jared was not very engaging, and would snap at my wife for things like not being able to cast (she doesn't fish very often). The day comprised of mostly small trout and redfish, before calling it a day (early) at the suggestion of the captain. I'm not sure what the deal was but at the end of the day we paid up and he was quick to leave. We will NOT be booking with him again!

This was the worst charter tour my husband & son have ever taken. Worse was the fact that it was a…read moresurprise for my hubby's 60th birthday. The owner, Jared, called to change the date because he had something better to do on the date booked. He never called to tell us when & where to meet him & he charged more than the price quoted. I booked a charter of Big Lake , not offshore, but that morning he said fish were only biting offshore & took them there instead. He was very unattentive to them, smoked on the boat even tho my guys are non smokers, and basically ignored them while HE fished. Very arrogant & cocky. But, to save the best for last, he FORGOT about the booked trip all together. My son called the night before just to confirm & Jared says "oh ****, I forgot! Let me see if I can find a boat, mine blew out today ( the day our trip was originallly booked!!). I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND this guy & his so called charter trips to ANYONE!!!!! What a waste of money. Could have just gone to Sam's & bought fish and come out cheaper & had more fun!!! I hope I get a chance to make it up to my husband on his next birthday!!
