The staff is always friendly and professional. There's also a lab right there in the office if you need blood work, etc., That is very convenient so you don't have to go and make another appointment or wait in a line of people waiting to have their blood drawn. The lab offers other diagnostic services which many are posted within 24 hours, if you have MyChart, which I highly recommend. During the pandemic, my wife and I were prevented from seeing our regular internist. As an interim…read moremeasure, we asked for referrals to a local internist and were given Dr, Whyte's name. The appointment started out poor and got worse. This doctor told my wife that she was too old and didn't need to be on certain medications that were prescribed by the Chair of Psychiatry at Emory University in 2004. His next act was to arbitrarily cut her dosage in half without discussion or permission. When I called back, the assistant stated the doctor had made a mistake and would contact our pharmacy for a correction. However, that correction never took place, and so, this doctor told us an untruth. Less than a month later, my wife was running low on an important medication. I attempted to call in the prescription, however, this doctor stated he would not prescribe any more. At this point, I called the doctor requesting answers. This doctor would not talk to me, but rather, only through his assistant. I became irritated and frustrated at the lack of direct communication. I did, however, promise this doctor serious legal ramifications if my wife suffered seizures because he refused to refill her prescription that she has been taking for 17 years. I asked for his supervisor's name and the supervisor above him, but was denied each time. This doctor has put my wife's health at serious risk by trying to titrate her off a medication that requires months of constant monitoring instead of the days that he attempted. I will NEVER go to this doctor again and would recommend that others very carefully research this doctor. The main tenet of the Physician's oath is to "do no harm". This doctor failed in that oath.

The best news is that the office is attached to AMC and is less than a mile from our residence. That definitely sweetened the deal for us, too. The team at Intown is awesome. They do an amazing job of balancing incoming families and make everyone feel so welcome. Their team is made up of five different practitioners and each visit is with a different midwife. They are all very kind and have different personalities, but their level of professionalism is all the same. Huge high-five to Lindley who made us feel really comfortable on our first visit. She was just the best. So far, we've only visited twice and my wife had her labs done, general checkup, heard our baby's heartbeat, and we have also done a few of the group discussions. The group sessions are really nice and can give some great insight. For us, they have been really cool and comforting with this being our first go at bringing another human into the world. I'll definitely update my review in the coming months. Really happy to be in the kind care of these folks!

He has absolutely no idea how to treat a patient. I have visited his office 3 times. Well, three strikes and your out. He never does a physical exam and always orders a ton of very expensive xrays and tests (which are done in house) but never explains why he is ordering them or even what is wrong with you. I have never received a call regarding the results of any tests that he has "performed" but you can bet I have received plenty of bills. The last time I visited he seemed annoyed that I was even there and spent the entire time smacking bubble gum and ordering xrays and blood tests after he wrote me a prescription. He never even asked me what was wrong. Finally I asked him what was wrong with me. He just shrugged and said " I don't know, could be viral, could be bacterial". I asked him if he thought it was the flu and he said "I don't know I guess it could be. I'll write you a prescription for that." He didn't even perform a flu test.
