A good friend recommended DLV and so I made an appointment and went to see if they could persuade me to hand over my vision to them, I was very skeptical because my vision was bad but not bad enough to be desperate for lasik. So anything less than an excellent result would have been a problem for me. From intake, to the initial exams, to the amazing closer/administrator Diana, the process was INSANELY human and warm and detailed. I saw so many specialists (surgeon, ophthalmology, optometry, lenses, etc) They made me feel completely in control, spent hours with me, gave me all the options and explanations I needed to feel fully comfortable moving forward. They even pushed forward my secondary screening to the same day so I could schedule the surgery for the soonest possible date. In the end my vision is exactly what was promised if not better. LASIK is not a cure all for 20/20 near and far, it has trade-offs, and Dr Dougherty explained all of these perfectly and exactly what he said would happen came true. I chose monovision to try and reduce the chances of or delay needing reading glasses. The monovision KICKS ASS. I can see my phone close up and perfect 10/20 far vision at the same time! Anyways, highly recommend. Top notch people, top notch process. Thank you DLV!

All of my other interactions with this business, including light adjustable lens cataract surgery by you (Dr. Dougherty), double vitrectomy with Dr. Enghelberg, and consultations with Drs. Lee, Boulgourjian, Zhang and their staffs, have been excellent. Of course, there have been some reasonable waits beyond my scheduled appointment times, but all of those doctors and staff wereprofessional and courteous in those interactions. Today I waited to see Dr. Biro from 3:40 (my long scheduled first appointment time with this doctor) until almost 5:00, despite my informing his staff that I had a professional call at 5:00 I could not miss. When I was finally brought into his office at 4:40 , I was told I was the next patient, and that he had gone to the restroom and would be right back. 10 minutes later, upon inquiring, I was told he was actually with another patient. When he arrived at 4:55, he offered no apology, spent less than one minute looking at my eye and then suggested I undergo an in office procedure right at that moment. I told him I no longer had the time, as I had an important call, to which he responded, exactly, "You are free to go." What a strange way to dismiss a patient, and not at all in keeping with my previous experiences at all of the DLV offices.

They put the wrong prescription in my glasses. It took weeks to get them, they never called to tell me they were in. When I explained how they put the wrong prescription in they offered to fix it. Being as incompetent as you'd expect. They gave me the wrong prescription the second time. When I attempted to speak with Dr Sam the owner she insisted the prescription was not wrong without even looking at them. I went to a more competent doctor and they explained that my prescription lenses were reversed. Honestly I wasn't surprised, but instead of admitting the error she hung up on me. Do not bother going in this place, it's horrible! The owners a lack of integrity is disappointing.

The trouble is because they're so popular the wait time sucks most of the times. With that said it's Costco - they are priced right and do the job right ! Last summer I bought the same frame in two diff Colors . I ordered lenses from target for one pair and Costco on the other. I wore the pair from target and it gave me bad headaches. When I went to complain Lisa the one in charge was confrontational and non accommodating . All I wanted them was to redo the lenses . The pair done by Costco was done correctly and ... a lot cheaper (220 versus 85!) Bottom line go with Costco

The folks working the office are consistently friendly and helpful, plus it was so easy to schedule an appointment. Susan in the optical dept knows her stuff. She listened to what I was seeking and helped me choose a terrific fit for my glasses. Although I do not wear them often, it's nice to know that when I do I now have something stylish and cute. It took only a few days for my order to be ready and I was contacted by phone to come in for pick up. Most contact lenses are available in stock, too. Yet another fabulous perk of being a Costco member! Thank you Optical department, you're the best!
