The first time I just missed their call and tried to call back, but no luck since then. I tried calling back again recently and there's some sort of issue where when they call back I can't hear them (there's no noise or anything), but they haven't tried calling back after that. I have gotten in that que at least twice yesterday. Now I am attempting to hold on the line (thus far it's been about 27min...). I just feel like it shouldn't be this difficult to call to schedule an appointment. As a person trying to go there the first time my impressions of them so far are not looking good. I tried navigating their site for the chat function, but it doesn't seem user friendly in a sense that it looks like an educational type website and not one for a dental office...

I don't think I would go here again. For starters, I felt I wasn't given enough information about…read morethe procedure beforehand, especially since this was the first time I was going to be sedating my child for a dental procedure. Dr. Jan was incredibly sweet and very helpful, but I can't say the same about the other people in the office. Even still, I decided to move forward with it because he needed the cavity filled. On the day of the appointment, I felt rushed by the office. When he was done and they came and got me, I walked in to my son's arms being unstrapped by his wrists to the chair (which I was NOT thrilled about!) The worst part was, after the procedure, my son was still (obviously) very out of it. Dr. Jan requested that we stay in one of the rooms for a bit since my son kept trying to bite his lips. She asked her assistant to check on us every 5 minutes or so to make sure we were doing OK. Then, the tech who worked there wheeled my four-year-old into the office and while I was bending down to pick up a tissue off the floor (so I had my back to him) walked out of the room without telling me. My son was loopy and tried to get out of the wheelchair and stand up , and fell and hit his face/head on the floor!! He was screaming, and I was trying to console him so couldn't leave. No one came and checked on us for 25 minutes. Eventually I had to put my son back in the wheelchair, open the door and ask someone at the desk to have the assistant come in so I can talk with her. When she came in, and I told her what had happened, she just kind of brushed it off. A few minutes later, Dr. Jan came in to check on him, and although she was a little bit more attentive, I do feel she underplayed the situation as well. She asked her assistant to go get him an ice pack, and that was it. The person who let my kid fall out of the chair, never came in to say anything. I don't know how you let a four year-old fall out of a chair and hit his face and think it's OK, but it's NOT OKAY with me and I want other parents to be aware.

There is poor communication between the front and back staff, with appointments being changed last minute even after confirmation. We are also notified at the last minute of a change in charges that were never clearly explained upfront, and different staff give different answers. What's most disappointing is that the patient is a child, yet their best interest is not prioritized - money is. As a manager at a major dental insurance company, I recommend parents choose a practice where transparency, communication, and children truly come first.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. From the moment I had to make an appointment there months ago…read morefor my daughter I was treated with complete disrespect. The woman who initially answered the phone rudely told me she couldn't see my child at that office and they couldn't open a new chart for her and tried to dismiss me; this was specifically after being told by the North Brunswick office that the treatment my daughter needed could only be done in the Greenbrook location. After calls going back and forth between North Brunswick and Greenbrook, Greenbrook finally called and said they would see my daughter, but I had to register her as a new patient, for whatever reason they would not transfer her file. It finally comes time to make her appointment and there are insurance issues. The office was completely unhelpful in trying to resolve them. The issue is finally resolved, and I made an appointment for my daughter two weeks or more ahead of schedule. I called to confirm the appointment, confirm the insurance, and let them know a different family member would be taking her. My family member showed up with my daughter only to be told they wouldn't see her- again because of insurance. When I called to find out what was going on, I asked to speak to the office manager or the person who handled the insurance, which I know to be a woman. Instead, after some whispering the young man who answered the phone came back on claiming to be said person. I was then told that someone tried to contact me and cancel the appointment but my mailbox was full. There were NO MISSED CALLS of any kind, my voicemail box WAS NOT FULL, and even if that were the case there is a secondary number and email to reach me. Smile Express knew full well their contract with HBCBS would be ending September 1, and my appointment was scheduled for September 2. Their attempt to contact me was on August 29th. This office is full of nothing but disrespectful liars and I pray that no one continues to use them.
