Dr. Liu is our primary doctor but we have seen Dr. Davari for last minute visits due to unexpected illness. Dr. Liu has always been very thorough and conservative in care. She would rather be safe than sorry. After each birth she makes it a point to check in with me as the mom and offer advice and always takes time to answer ask our questions. Dr. Davari has always been very comforting and reassuring each time I have spoken with him on the phone and also when we saw him in person. I feel good knowing that I trust with doctor with the care of my children. I am also very grateful for their after hours answering service. For emergencies they can take messages and forwardd them to the doctor that is on call. This is such a reassuring service!

The office had easy parking which is always a plus, there's even an underground parking lot that allows for shelter from the sun or rain. The staff who works with Dr. Yusung are also equally welcoming and professional. Based upon our first impressions, while I don't want to visit the doctor in cases where it's not a routine check-up or vaccination, because that mean's something's wrong (an illness or health issue), but I am comforted by the fact that if/when we need a doctor, Dr. Yusung is our physician.

My daughter is under two separate insurance plans and I asked to make mine her primary and her dad's secondary, just like how it was at her previous pediatrician's office. She said she couldn't do that because the primary HAS to be my husband's due to his birthday being before mine. I told her that's how it was before and she very confidently said "well you're going to have issues then".. I was with them for 2 years and had no problems, but ok. She shooed me away with a phone number to call, which I did- the UCLA billing department made the switch at the click of a button. I was out of the country and sent a message through the patient portal early in the morning. Despite multiple follow-up calls from both myself and my mother, we received no response from the doctor. The office told my husband and mother to bring my son in, which they did--traveling over an hour to get there before closing. Despite arriving while Dr. Miller was still in, she never came out to assess him, nor did she or her team respond to any of our messages or calls. Over a week later, and her team still have not reached out to us. My husband ended up taking our son to urgent care. This is especially upsetting coming from a team that has cared for my child since birth, without any issues. We will not be returning and will gladly find care elsewhere. P.S. Our first child was a really bad refluxer and screamed her head off almost nightly. As first-time parent this was terrifying! Dr. Burgett took many of our phone calls at all hours of the night and helped us through this tough time. Dr. Burgett often would call to just check in to see how we were doing and that meant the world to us to know that someone was thinking about our daughter. Aside from the medical treatment, Dr. Burgett provided our family with invaluable advice that went above and beyond her responsibilities as our primary care physician. Dr. Burgett genuinely cares about each of her patients, has a way with kids and makes it very clear what your responsibilities are as a parent. Because of her advice and care, my wife and I gained the confidence to become good parents. Today, we have four children, all of whom are patients of Dr. Burgett. We attribute this "courage" to the fact that we always knew we were in good hands. Recently, our family was contemplating moving out of state. The first thought that came to mind is that we would have to change doctors... never mind that we would be moving away from friends and family! If you are a parent, you know your kids come first, and that's why we love this practice. Lastly, the front office doesn't ever get much credit, especially here on Yelp. I can say from 9 years and 50+ office visits worth of experience that the front office staff is amazing. As stated by other users, they are always polite and never rude. As far as comments of them not being overly friendly, you have to remember that communication is a two-way street. My wife and I have taken the time to learn the front office staff members' names, as they did ours. We greet them by name, both on the phone and in person, and we think of them as family. They've all seen and/or held each of our kids from birth to now and we couldn't imagine going anywhere else. In closing, if you are looking for a Pediatrician who will exceed your expectations in every way possible, go to MBKD. Although Dr. Burgett is our doctor, we have seen all the doctors at the office.
