A lifesaver when you need someone you can truly trust!…read more I was home visiting my parents who live in Evanston and ran into a lighting and electrical issue I wasn't comfortable handling myself. I turned to Yelp -- and thankfully, it led me straight to the right person. Pat from AnyFix came out promptly and quickly diagnosed a short that had knocked out my parents' porch light -- something that could've been a real safety issue, especially since my dad has trouble seeing in the dark. Pat was not only knowledgeable and efficient, but also incredibly kind, honest, and professional. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, fixed the issue perfectly, and made sure everything was safe before leaving. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people, not just getting the job done. I'll definitely be keeping his number on speed dial for any future repairs. If you want someone who's dependable, personable, and knows their craft inside and out -- call Pat at AnyFix. You'll be glad you did.

The price included removing all of the old caulk, taping, and installing new caulk. Scheduling was incredibly fast -- I received an appointment for the very next day. The handyman arrived on time, was very professional, and even removed his shoes before entering the house. He walked through each bathroom with me and confirmed the work he would be performing. He worked quietly and very efficiently, and he cleaned up thoroughly after each job. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the overall experience. I would definitely recommend Loyal Handyman!

He was able to send out a handyman at my next available time, which was less than a week later. The handyman arrived at the time quoted, and we went over the job. He was very respectful of our home, removing his shoes without being asked. He did the job efficiently and checked in along the way, which helped because there was a little confusion about which light to put on the garage. That was resolved quickly, and we were all set. I would recommend Loyal Handyman as a reliable, responsive company that gets the job done right.

I was given an email to send pictures to for a more accurate quote. A week later, Meaghan (the Office Manager) gets back to me to thank me for my patience as she was with family (hey, life happens, I understand) and gives me a more detailed quote. However, there is some confusion so I send back a question to clarify the quote. Once again, I receive a response a week later. I have long since made an appointment with another company but I just wanted to let others know that their response time is not the best. Their work might make up for it but I'll never know.

When we sold my dad's townhouse a while ago, they came out and did a number of repairs and installations; everything was done on time and with high standards. He was also able to get a stubborn smoke alarm to work properly! Andrew is our go-to person for all kinds of small jobs around the house. Great company, great crew!

Nick responded to my email inquiry within a day, came out to view the site, and provided a proposal upon my and the Church Council's request. It was an installation which required constructing side panels of the A/C unit which would be secure and weather-proof. While not a difficult project, the work ended up being intricate and time-consuming. Nick worked efficiently and was meticulous about making sure the unit fit securely. We were very pleased with the quality of the installation. He even saw our church exterior door hinges were slightly loose and fixed those as well. Nick Gosser is very professional, responsive to customer inquiries on a timely basis, and works quickly and efficiently. He is detail-minded, an experienced handyman, takes pride in his work and is reasonably priced. It wasn't easy to find someone to come out and do this project because it's small and I had to contact 6 different handyman services. (Some I never heard back and I do appreciate a couple who said they were too busy at the moment.) I highly recommend Nick's Handyman Service as he "checks all of the boxes" in terms of delivering quality results.

Jason Mitchell is a con man. He bragged about his ability and boasted about being bonded. He took…read moremy money and abandoned the job without completing it. He didn't level my floating floors before tiling (which was stipulated prior to signing the contract) and all of the tile work is unleveled and has buckling tile. The mortar is cracking and popping up. When I reached out to him for warranty repairs he told me to take it up with his attorney. I spent over $13k on a tile job for 4 rooms and I now need to have it all removed in order to have the floors properly leveled. He has no business being a contractor and I highly suggest you avoid him at all cost. My attorney has recommended that I look into a class action lawsuit against him. Edit: reply to Jason's response. Please do not believe the lies Jason has responded to my honest review of his tile failure in my home. 1st: The job was abandoned in June of 2019. 2nd: He refused to complete the job because I made the mistake of paying him the majority of the payments early after he presented a sob story about not being able to cover his pay roll. This was pre grouting before we noticed the tile was laid uneven. 3rd: I remained calm and cordial with him through the 2 months. I provided photos of the numerous areas that were unacceptable and unprofessional done. He always guaranteed he would correct the issues and never did. 4th: He refunded me $1000, not $2k after I threatened to take him to court for abandoning the job. I never signed any post agreement with him. He was supposed to create one for me to review and he never did. He must be confusing me with another victim of his. 5: I'm the one that pointed out the floating floor was not properly leveled and he tried to repair the sections after he had already laid uneven tile. His attempts made the floor more unstable. Before I signed the contract with him he guaranteed my floors would be leveled. 6: I had found a few bad reviews regarding His work prior to hiring him and he provided the same type of lies he used in response to my review here. 7: I was contacted by a former employee of his that told me my floor would start to fall apart after around a year because of Jason cuts corners. & that Jason has a history of scrubbing bad reviews with Angie's List and Yelp. 8.I turned down his initial bid as it was extremely high. I was going to hire Luna. Jason lowered his price in his bid in order to win the job. No terms were changed for the work to be completed and he guaranteed the work to be on par with Luna. After his poor craftsmanship became apparent he made a remark that he did level the floor because he lowered his price. Please note prior to the contract being signed we specifically discussed how the floor being leveled was to be included. (Not the basement floor, the main level were the tile us all falling apart now). He even made the remark "floor leveling us automatically included as it's part of properly tiling". 9. Protect yourself and find another contractor.
