At my last appointment in September of 2025, I was told that she will begin charging $400 every month for her services, and justifying it by saying it will allow her to provide better patient care. A dedicated doctor would not need to charge a $400 monthly concierge fee to provide excellent patient care. When I first saw her, she was working three days a week; now she's only working two. She is not dedicated to her patients; she is dedicated to making money. There is a card on the desk where patients check out that advertises 10% off her services if you give her a five star review on Yelp. That tells you everything you need to know about her.

Looking back, I question whether those reviews truly reflect the average patient experience because my experience was very different. The receptionist was always polite, and the trainers seemed knowledgeable and supportive. However, my overall experience with the clinic was disappointing. During my initial consultation, the doctor spent a significant amount of time talking about his own experience using the medication. I received my first tirzepatide injection before any lab work was completed, simply because I was overweight. Once my test results came back, I remained on the same dosage for nearly 10 weeks despite my progress stalling. I lost weight during the first month, gained weight during the second month while still on tirzepatide, and by the third month there wasn't even a weigh in. I was told the previous scale had simply weighed lower, which did not seem like a satisfactory explanation. My lab results showed high insulin resistance, but I was initially told not to worry and was only advised to take supplements. Later, after a dosage increase, the doctor recommended that I start metformin, warning me that my insulin levels were high and that I could easily become diabetic. This confused me because my lab work showed I was neither diabetic nor prediabetic. That inconsistency made me question how carefully my results were being reviewed and whether my treatment plan was truly based on my individual health needs. I also requested additional blood work to rule out other possible causes for my lack of progress. Unfortunately, I was later informed that my blood samples had been lost. I was told this "happens all the time" and that it wasn't the clinic's fault but the delivery service's. While they offered to repeat the tests at no additional charge, hearing that lost lab work is common was concerning. Before enrolling, I explained that I live about an hour away in Pasadena and could not make weekly visits. I was assured this would not be a problem and that I would be able to take my medication home. However, throughout the program the policies seemed to change repeatedly, and I was only allowed to take home two doses at a time, requiring more trips than originally discussed. The clinic also appeared disorganized. I made appointments believing I would be seeing the doctor, only to find out they were not doctor appointments. Communication about scheduling and treatment was inconsistent, and I often felt like I was receiving different information from different staff members. The most disappointing part of my experience has been trying to obtain a refund. I have approximately two and a half months of treatment remaining that I already paid for. After several phone calls, I was repeatedly transferred to the doctor instead of speaking with the office manager about my refund. Unfortunately, the conversation with the doctor was not helpful and did not address the reason for my call. After that conversation, I was assured someone would follow up with me, but no one ever did. When I called the clinic again, I was simply told that they would process a refund for the unused portion of my treatment. Overall, I appreciate the kindness of the receptionist and the trainers, but my experience with the medical care, communication, organization, and customer service has been very disappointing. I hope sharing my experience helps others ask the right questions before making a financial commitment.

I walked…read morein today (its a Monday today) at around 11am and there were only like 3 people in there with me (only 1 when I walked in then 2 or 3 more while i was waiting). I was scared it wouldnt be the same anymore for me when I switched out insurances to my EPO insurance with my job, but when I called they easily told me they accepted it without even having to run anything and when I got there the wait was extremely fast, the process was extremely simple, the place was extremely clean and with nice aesthetics, and Jessica the NP I saw this time prescribed me exactly what I hoped for and needed (she didnt just give me basic amoxicillin, she went above and beyond prescription-wise to cover whatever possible current bacterial sickness it was i have (bad cough for over a month now) by going a step above and prescribing augmentin and im extremely happy with that decision because 1) she actually looked at my history and asked me what autoimmune condition I have and when I told her one of them is sjrogens (yes I have multiple lifelong autoimmune conditions now induced from prior years of intense stress, I came out with several long term conditions that affect me ever since some intense periods of stress for several years from like 2016 and onwards) she said the augmentin would be less drying for me so I really appreciate that she looked at all angles and initiated taking this into consideration, and 2) it will cover much more strains than pure amoxicillin which will prevent me from taking an antibiotic that may not kill what I have and we all know that taking antibiotics that wont do what it needs to do causes a whole other bunch of unnecessary problems, so im glad she wasnt stingy/playing it too safe or basic with the prescription like how alot of other providers may be at times) and I quickly left with exactly what I needed. They also have Xray machines there in case you need any diagnostics like that and the only ones they dont do is XR skull ot XR abdomen. My copay only ended up being $15 and im so so so freaking glad I have a place i can still go to now for a great urgent care experience if I ever need to even after the stress of switching out of my insurance to another one, so im super relieved and appreciate Advanced Urgent Care of Pasadena so much. The girl that picked up the phone was super sweet (i love that she would call me Hun hahah and she was so helpful and nice, she also would initiate giving me important info that would prevent potential headache that could be avoided too like telling me that they would close earlier today at 3 because of memorial day which i appreciate), the guy at the front was also super nice, Oscar the XR tech who took my vitals was nice, and so was the other sweetheart who also escorted me out of the room (another nice girl, I think she had glasses on). I didn't even have to do anything for checkout. It was the fastest visit ever and I got 100% what I needed. When I walked out it was only like noon sharp but I will say that it got way busier between the time that I walked in at 11am till when I walked out at noon. The waiting room was about at least half full when I left, so im guessing maybe like 6+ people, but still looked quite manageable and like i said the place is so nice the wait just doesnt FEEL long even if it does end up being a little longer. They are fast, efficient, clean, the providers give you what you need, and most of all, they easily have accepted all my insurances even after switching to EPO. Went to the pharmacy after to pick up my med, super cheap, like $6 for the augmentin. Even cheaper than my prescription nasal spray !! Lol. Thank god for this place

In a condescending tone, she berated some of my personal history regarding my visit which felt highly uncalled for given she knows nothing about me and it was completely irrelevant to my visit. When I received the bill, she had submitted CPT code 99204, a high-level code designated for moderate complexity decision-making and typically associated with 45-59 minute visits. This seemed quite excessive for asking for two routine tests, nothing complex. To me, this felt like significant overbilling for a brief 10-minute visit. Using a code such as 99203 fit the description of the visit much better based on both complexity and time (but I guess lower codes don't charge as much). Had I not disputed it, I would have been stuck paying the difference from my copay. Thankfully, the billing department, who was beyond helpful, and the attending physician made it right and corrected the charge for me. Both of them deserve five stars. If I need to return, I will make sure to request anyone but Jessica.

Dr. Rahm is not an overly busy practice where you have to wait forever and can't get an appt. His practice is nestled with 3 other private practice docs in montrose. The office is nice the staff is friendly, the technology is present. I loved the decor and peacefulness of the office and the staff. He was bright, friendly and knowledgable. The reason we left our other Doctor was we didn't have a great communication cycle with her and she was always rushed even though she did not have a very busy practice. Also she was never on time. She used too many clinical words with us and I could tell it wasn't due to the fact that I am a Doctor but because that is just how she operates. I think it is important to communicate with a patient using regular language and Dr. Rahm did just that. Having only had one experience with Dr. Rahm and it being for a wellness check up of my healthy baby, I can't comment on his diagnostic skills but the feel of the office, friendliness of the staff and friendliness of the doctor were all there. It is nice to have someone about our same age and in our same area to go to. I guess I can say since he told my wife our baby is well and she is doing a good job as a mom, it is money well spent.
