Whoever prepared the food does not know what an appropriate amount of salt in food should be. Everything we ordered (lo mein, Mongolian beef, spring rolls, wonton soup) was extremely salty and overly oily. I ate 10 bites of my food and decided to throw the rest out. It was not edible at all and the only reason I tried to eat it is because I paid for it all :-( My mom got serious heartburn that kept her up all night. I will never return here. Ordered in from Rice Express after an exhausting travel day. I believe there are multiple locations, this being the delivery hub for both (if that makes sense). They use Doordash as their third party delivery service, which I was quite nervous about. Doordash usually takes hours to make deliveries - I waited roughly an hour for my food to arrive. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with a diet coke. It was fine. Simple, but good. Its a quick way to get a healthy meal but I could've made something similar myself. I appreciate them putting the teriyaki sauce on the side, and for the reusable container. It was a good sized portion as well. The base used is either a brown or a white rice-soy sauce mixture, but I wish it had been just plain white rice. I have seen Rice Express for many years and never tried it. I started Delivering for Ubereats and started picking up for customers quite often and got intrigued to try it. Last week I went by and got the Szechuan Chicken, today I went and got the Sweet and sour chicken. I always get my entrees with steamed rice. The portions both visits were very reasonable and both plates cost me a little less than $10 each. They have all the usual suspects including a few non-Chinese items like fried catfish and chicken nuggets. The portions are generous for an average of $6-$7 depending on your choice of protein. They used to be served with three scoops of rice but I've noticed the last few times that it only came with two scoops. Shrugs. My favorite entree is the seafood combination. I always ask for chili oil to drizzle over the top. They also have sugar biscuits that are so good. I'm usually not a fan but I always get theirs. They're mini sized and comes in an order of 20 for $2! On my last visit, I ordered the hot and sour soup with low expectations. It was so delicious! It was packed with shiitake mushrooms and had the perfect ratio of sourness and spiciness. I would go there just to get that soup. Service is not the greatest but also not horrible. I place my order, get my food, and leave LOL. I'm usually on lunch break so I'm always looking to get in and out quick. Speaking of which, they also have drive thru. Great little hole-in-the-wall. After driving by a million times and always seeing a busy drive through, we drove out of our way to try it. Orange chicken without spice was the same as General Tso's but with sesame seeds. All was tasty. My teen boys loved it. We also got the fried rice with chicken, chicken was small and not readily visible. The Lo Mein with shrimp only had 4 shrimp, which was disappointing. And we got steamed dumplings (gyoza).
