Inside it looked sleek and modern with lots of chunky wood everywhere and plenty of seating. When we arrived it wasn't very busy, but that soon changed once we'd been in there half an hour and were tucking into our shared Meze Combo starter, which was tasty, though we had a bit too much pitta and not enough to slather on it... And now for the main courses. My friend ordered the ribs which were massive and tasty (I tried a bit out of curiosity) though they had serious 'food envy' when my medium rare rump steak arrived. I opted for baby potatoes instead of chips and also a red wine sauce. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth juicy deliciousness. I've written it in the title of my pic and I'll write it again: it was the best steak I have ever eaten. The red wine sauce was a nice addition. After all that we were too stuffed to try dessert, but I eyed New York Cheesecake on the menu - if I return that is getting demolished instead of, or probably in my case, as well as, the starter.

My fella had a change from his usual and reliable Chicken Shawarma (which he loves) and had the Spinach & Chicken Gratin. Both of us fell silent whilst devouring the food, with the exception of customary food-appreciation noises, and both were very very good. The reason for the lower marks on the * rating is that the waiting on staff didn't get the order right in the first place and so we had to wait an extra 10 minute for mine to arrive (mixed up the reading of the order of gratin and chops with gratin and chips) and so when one incorrect dish arrived and the young lady realised there were two at the table, Richard's dinner was taken back and said it would be kept warm until mine arrived. Not brilliant but I suppose the positive that old style "writing down" an order by hand and not computerised is something to take from this family run business, and that they give a young person an opportunity to learn and earn (the young lady was clearly very new) is to be praised. Roast Beef...it was the best most perfectly cooked roast beef i have ever tasted! all of it was home grown or locally produced and was full of flavour.
