Cool place when I went first time but closed during open hours recently when in town. Showed up and no one was there and lights off.

Rhythm Records is a great place to hang out, listen to and browse through a pretty rad and diverse music collection.

Going to the "highly recommended for "new-in-towners" The Drink, I was expecting something a little more hip and put together. Other than the company I kept, it had a long way to go before it was a "to go to place"! Location: a 15-20 minute drive from anywhere in Bismarck. Decor: sports/martini/lake harbor bar?? Clearly, they have no idea who they want to be when they grow up and it showed. The upside was the they have a patio and it has a so-so view of a small harbor for boats, but they were playing 50 Cent's "Get Rich of Die Trying" CD and had a toothless bartender...what??? It's clean and has highly vaulted ceilings, but.... geez, what an airball. Food: popcorn, THAT'S IT. So I drive all the way across town to have a drink and a snack before dinner, and I'm presented with popcorn and a cheap martini? The cheap martini was good, but if I want to have another, I have to hail a cab because there's no way I'm driving all the way across town when the cops run rampant! Service: there were all of, hmmmm.... maybe 8 people in the entire place, including the 2 bartenders, and our server is running around the place with her head cut off, toothless and all and I just, ugh, not a great experience. The Drink has a long way to go before they get even one more star...

Then the bartender came in and he was dressed like he just woke up and his personality was so off putting. He had zero customer service skills, treated the servers terrible, literally wouldn't even look at them. I was there for about an hour or so and he never once greeted me while sitting at the bar directly across from him. I travel a lot and am out to eat for food and drinks multiple times a week and haven't witnessed this ever. I literally had to leave it was like being a paying patron was a bother to him. It wasn't busy either. I was so confused, if you hate your job so much find a different one. And management should really find a different face to your patrons on the bar. The name for the bartender on the ticket was James C. Do better. The venue was really nice though. I went to the other side at The Stadium side and it was the polar opposite, friendly, polite, attentive and offered food suggestions. A very pleasant experience.

Every time I thought, do I get another brewski? She was there to ask. They also have some pool tables that I will be coming back to play on. They have plenty of large tables for big parties. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a fun sports bar to check out. Neon bar lights included.

Anima Cucina is such a cute spot in Bismarck. I was greeted right away and seated promptly, and the…read moreservice throughout the meal was warm, friendly, and attentive. For a small restaurant, they also have an impressive wine selection. We started with the garlic bread, hot olives, and meatballs -- all of which were flavorful, balanced, and absolutely delicious. For entrées, our table had the breaded walleye, the Bolognese pasta, and the Porchetta. The walleye and Bolognese were outstanding, but unfortunately the Porchetta was a big letdown. The skin was chewy rather than crisp, with a thick layer of unrendered fat beneath it, and most concerning, it still had visible pig hair. I was expecting the classic combination of crackling skin, melting fat, and tender pork, but instead it was oddly undercooked on the outside, dry inside, and after biting into hair, I really lost my appetite for it. We finished with tiramisu and a torte, and both desserts were excellent -- a strong way to end the meal. Overall, Anima Cucina has a lot going for it: charming atmosphere, friendly staff, great starters, and standout entrées (other than the Porchetta). I'd happily return for the appetizers, pasta, fish, and desserts, but I'd avoid the Porchetta based on my experience.

She had told the wedding party they could bring a cooler. She proceeded to complain to every customer that walked up to the bar until well past dinner. The sound system was awful. You could not hear any of the ceremony. The music was loud. You could not hear/understand anything the DJ said. Or any of the speeches. At one point the bartender/event manager told my brother he had to clean the men's bathroom or lose his deposit. When asked if someone could empty the trash cans, she said that is cost extra and was not paid for. She did not provide garbage bags for a guest to do it. Their hired security guard (by The Post) was also incredibly rude to guests. He did not ask what people were drinking on the porch....either took their drinks or demanded they dump them out...including little kids' shirley temples, lemonade, waters. And when he was told he was rude he replied that some people are just too sensitive. There are no signs in the building that state "no alcohol beyond this point". No signs that say no outside beverages. In the bathroom-which I did not need to use until 930pm...there is a sign saying the hosts of the event are supposed to inform their guests of the rules... The air conditioning worked well....to the point my uncle and I needed winter jackets to eat dinner comfortably. The bartenders were charging one price before dinner and $2 higher after dinner for drinks. When asked, the event manager said it was top shelf....when the order had not been for top shelf. I could go one.... The location is incredibly lovely and convenient, however the service provided was beyond horrid.

The manager would wait days to respond to any questions we would have about our event. We were promised many things including 25 rectangular tables, however, there were only 18 rectangular tables come the day of set up. We then were informed, a week prior to event, that we had to be the janitor for the building, including scrubbing toilets, cleaning mirrors, cleaning kitchen, and mopping the entire building. Just to receive $50 back out of a $250 deposit. Don't expect quick response, if any at all. It definitely was not worth the headache to have our event here.
