For the price, this is probably the best gym in the area. It's open 24 hours, which is the best…read morepart about the facility in my opinion, because it's ideal for those who can only workout during non-traditional hours. There are numerous amenities available. These include:
- A wide array of cardio machines including arc trainers, treadmills, recumbent bikes, spin bikes, stationary bikes, lateral ellipticals, ellipticals, stairmasters, AMT trainers, manual curved treadmills, two Torque tank wheeled push/pull sleds, and a traditional sled.
- Free weights. Barbells, plenty of weight plates, dumbbells up to 120 lbs, kettlebells, cable stations with both 1:1 and 2:1 pulleys for lat pulldowns, seated rows, tricep extensions/pushdowns, lateral raises, and so on, and a wide selection of selectorized and plate-loaded machines with which you can target just about every muscle group. These include: smith machines, chest supported row machines, captain's chairs, decline benches, leg curls, leg extensions, a hack squat, various sorts of leg presses, ab machines, arm machines, shoulder machines, back machines, chest machines, all sorts of calf raises, and more. I believe they have exercise bands and medicine balls too.
- I haven't been to the locker room and pool area much but I know that there's a pool here and I believe they might have a sauna too.
It does tend to get quite crowded during the day, as most gyms like this do. This might not be ideal for those with any sort of neurodivergence or hypervigilance or sensory sensitivities. Which is why I choose to mainly go here between 11pm and 3am, as it's relatively less busy during these hours.
Home gyms will forever be superior to public gyms in my opinion. I built mine during the pandemic and love it and I choose to lift weights and do calisthenics primarily in my garage. However, there is something about a large sports club/commercial gym that a garage gym can't quite replicate and that I was missing. So I decided to join this facility strictly to perform cardio. I've been thoroughly enjoying the treadmills, recumbent bikes, arc trainers, and sleds to improve my conditioning!!
In conclusion, I'd recommend this gym. If this review helps a single person, then it was worth writing.
