It's not a very big space, but good enough for the students and waiting parents. The front staff is very kind - they have worked with me in terms of financial situations and have always welcomed my daughter regardless. Mrs. Hitt has been my daughter's teacher since she first started and my daughter admires Mrs. Hitt very much. She refuses to go to any other dance school or teacher because she has so much love and respect for her ABS teacher. Recitals are well organized and very memorable. There are fees that come with it such as the costume fee, recital fee, and separate tickets fee. I don't find it a problem and they handle the entire recital ordeal very well.

Omg wtf! I shouldve not wasted my money on this school from that experience. The school sent us there too!! Ugh AB required us to buy a specific costume when the dance moves they taught my kids were so FUFU & frilly! We quit before the recital and they didnt let us cancel the costume even at 5 month till!! Jerks! Then they send us an email (junk mail) a week to pick it up or it will be donated? WTF! Jerks again! My kids could never remember what they learned. All they could remember was to prance around, like skipping and wave their hands like a bird. Sorry but their type of dance is so FUFU-FIFI THAT I COULDNT STOP LAUGHING! No real talent needed lol! We spent months there and still to this day there isnt anything my kids can remember. I didnt like how they treated people like monthly payments. Felt like cattle there. MOOOOOVE ALONG!

But Im going to be completely honest and transparent for those considering this dance company. We devoted a year to these people. I really wanted my daughter to be here long term but a series of events led me to the final decision to withdrawal my child. The studio is run down. There waiting area is made up of two foldable chairs. Their systems are completely outdated. They print out an excel sheet, which is hung up by the door, they cross and scribble things out and that's how they communicate for their upcoming shows. The director lacks communication and professionalism. Just ask other parents, none have anything good to say about how the owners operate the studio. They are unorganized yet very strict. There were many red flags. What ultimately topped it off was recently, during this COVID-19 outbreak. The studio was open the first week and then reopened virtually the last week of March. Like many of you, these times hit hard. I got a ton of emails from everyone, my creditors, retailers, other businesses big and small expressing their support in these unsettling times. I got an email from Danmar saying I needed to pay for the full month (even though my daughter only attended one day) and threatened she wouldn't have a spot in the show. I refused to pay for a whole month's worth of classes we did not take. The owner is condescending and greedy. We will be taking our business elsewhere. There are plenty of ethical dance companies in the area. Save yourselves a headache guys. Hope this helps.

Have you ever had a favorite restaurant and one day you go back only to realize the owners changed,…read morethe chef changed, and while the sign on the door is the same, the quality and integrity you associated with that name is bastardized? My heart is broken over this. Fret not. The old owner and chef has a new school - DAA Dance Academy. Send your kids there to learn from instructors who has a passion for dance and teaching. ===================================================== My review of the original Mitsi Dancing School: LOVE LOVE LOVE...Love the school. Love the teachers. Love all the memories I shared here. I'll fully disclaim my bias - I grew up in this dance school. However, being biased doesn't mean I'm wrong. Mitsi Shen is one amazing woman and dance instructor. She's dedicated decades to passing on her passion and technique in dance (ballet and Chinese dance). She hires very well trained teachers and shows extreme professionalism and patience to groom each student that has a heart to learn. It was like a family there. I made life long friends in my 13 years at the dance school and went from being a fidgeting tomboy to loving the art of dance. To the moms concerned with repetition, I'd say that dance training (similar to other trainings) involves a lot of repetition. Your princess might be doing chases and plies until she's 5 (and thereafter I'm sure). But she will improve each year and eventually she'll have strong muscles from the repetitions and move on to leaps and turns. Ballet is a great foundation for other styles! You can't go wrong sending your kids here! ...And it is my humble opinion that all little girls should dance! =D

They had been enjoying…read moregoing there and my older daughter was the one who asked me to let her join and learn gymnastics. At a monthly evaluation recently, her coach made her do a combination movement that she did not want to do and she let her coach know that. She did not have the proper training or safety to perform it on her own. It ended up with her breaking her arm. Another family member had taken her to class that day and I have asked for a written explanation many times from the school and they have not responded. I did receive a call from one of the owners saying that she did not see what happened and she hadn't spoke to the instructor, which was not helpful to what I am asking - why was my daughter asked to do something on her own when she did not want to and without protections and without the necessary experience to execute the movement. On the call the owner explained that gymnastics is unpredictable, but that is why the school and instructors should be training in a way to avoid injuries. Some injuries may happen, but when making girls do things on their own when they are not ready is not right. Now my daughter never wants to do gymnastics again. She has gone through so much pain with her broken arm and a painful surgery. The school's silence on this is disheartening.
