The hot room is seriously HOT (which I love!). There is nothing more disappointing then showing up for a hot class that is more like warm or hot-ish. Not a problem at Samatva! The only downside to the studio is that classes are not carried out if less than 2 students attend. This has been an issue for me a couple of times which is a pain when you drive 20 mins into town just for class.

These two lighthouses protect Sodus Bay, the largest natural harbor on Lake Ontario. This light was first established in 1858, the new lighthouse was replaced in 1938 with this 51 foot tall structure. The view over Lake Ontario is fabulous, especially this early in the morning. There is swimming when lifeguards are on duty. You feel like you're at the ocean when sitting on a Lake Ontario beach. The lighthouse view is stunning. There are bathrooms, a food stand, and a playground area. There is also a covered space with picnic tables. It's a perfect spot for a family. Dogs are allowed on a leash so we will be able to bring out pooch! There is plenty of parking. The houses along the street to the beach are adorable! There's a quaint little village with a few restaurants and shops. We will be back this summer!

This is challenging because of the small size and limited sites. I try at least six months in advance for a water site. The water sites are hard to get. I will stay at any of them they are all wonderful. The lake is very refreshing and the beach is fun. There is a huge rock in the middle of the lake that my family takes pictures at. It is quit a wonderful view. I love coming here to camp. All the campers are always friendly and polite. I have talked with many and they all think this campground is a hidden gem.

Just be mindful that a lot of restaurants are only open for the summer season and they close around the first week in October. Definitely a great mini getaway spot!
