They have a nice sized playground right in front of the water/beach spot. Also, it was situated between two bathroom building! They have standing showers in stalls and also large bathrooms with a standing shower as well- which is very nice for people who need to go in with children or disabled people. They had bundles of wood on-site ($5) and ice ($2). Also, there is a little mart across the street from the state park that has little trinkets, supplies and ICE CREAM if maybe you forgot something for fire or food. ***IMPORTANT!! You are so close to Canada here PLEASE pay attention to your photo data if you're using it. We were able to pick up the Canadian lines and it sent the phone roaming for a little bit.*** It was very well kept! Each "camp" has a large enough tent site for 2 large tents, or more we had two, and then a fire pit with a mini grill over it and a picnic table. All it was missing was trash reciprocals but really what's on you and it was great. You can play volleyball usually but do to covid it's closed and so are boat rentals (typically $300). You can fish also and they have a bait shop. Highly highly recommend coming here! I don't know if it's typical but $22/night for the site is awesome.

This site was hyped WAY more than what we got from it. For full hookups, there is only one loop…read more(Loop F) for them and they do not support larger trailers/5th wheels. The sites on this loop have a max length of 40' back-in, but when we drove them, there is absolutely no way that there were more than 2 spots that would have accommodated this and it wouldn't have been an easy fit unless you're very experienced with backing in a camper/5th wheel. The sites were extremely close together as well, with no mature trees, and not real parking for cars. Also, we noticed a trend of cars taking up extra spots and many cars for one site spilling over into others sites. We stayed in H10 and he sites were much more spacious. There were no mature trees around the campsite at all, but plenty of room for our kids to roam and play. The sites are electric only with water pump stations around. Luckily, we were situated in a spot that we could run hose to the spigot for water. We would suggest having an extra 100-150' of hose if you're planning to stay here. There is a cute park right on this loop for the kids to play at. The dump stations had very low water pressure making it difficult to flush the black tank. Additionally, they only had 3 spots for dump which meant there is a wait and it kind of sucked in the rain. We did see a lot of wildlife which was fun for the kids (and man). It was fairly quiet even though our loop was completely full. The scenery is beautiful. The river is gorgeous and fishing was fun. It was harder to find a spot to fish from - you cannot fish from the piers which is very inconvenient with little kids to navigate wet rocks and risk a fall. They have a few very nice boating docks to launch from. The store has very minimal supplies - be ready to make sure you don't need anything, or you'll have to pay the toll to get across the bridge to get to the grocery store. There are no grocery stores on the island. There is no gas stations on the island currently and there is one being remodelled. Hopefully, it'll be ready next year. It was a nice stay, but it was not as epic as we had hoped to be (and it had been hyped to be). It really isn't our go to for the future.

It is easy to find the place and some sites have some leaves or branches covered which is you need to look carefully. I gave this park 5 stars for amazing nature and location. 4 stars for bathroom because limited showers per bathroom sites even though we have a lot of sites. They have washing station next to the bathroom sites which are great and get 5 stars for this! We all need some place to wash our stuff from cooking. 5 stars for grill station that they are in great condition which is I did not expect that! Bring a lot of bug sprays because they have more insects that you don't see that often in area where you normally live. Overall staying there for camping is a wonderful place and definitely family friendly!!

We had such a large area of the beach all to ourselves. We were there for a few hours, and probably could have stayed longer. My partner said it was the most Caribbean looking beach he's ever been to not actually in the Caribbean. Things to note: Conditions might be quite different on different days. Apparently, the 1.3 trail to the beach can be wet and buggy (not when we were there!) and the water can have more algae (though it was stunningly clear during our visit). $15/person fee, with discounts for families.

It's a large park with a splash pad, restrooms, a sidewalk along the waterfront, and a sandy beach with a swimming area. There is good tree cover (at least when I was there in August) so you don't have to roast in the sun. Lots of children and dogs were enjoying the day, and there are benches and picnic tables to enjoy your lunch. It's not far from the departure point for Gananoque bout tours and has a nice view of the St. Lawrence River.

Many river attractions near by on and off the water. The park provides trail guide tours of the many trails. Try the "Beaver Walk" or ask the park staff about Bigfoot. Great park, great staff with many repeat campers from all over and both sides of the border. Very well maintained, clean bathhouses and they sell ice and firewood.

There were a lot of highlights- the big bridge, climbing the boulders to the scenic overlook of a huge marsh where we saw an enormous heron and lots of wild life- we saw porcupine, chipmunks, bunnies, and some cool birds, The trails were pretty easy, my three year old handled them well. There's even an ADA trail, making this an inclusive outdoor activity. This will remain a tradition when we go back to Thousand Islands!

Each sight is equipped with a fire pit and picnic table. They have what I have to consider,the cleanest shower equipped,public camp ground bathroom! They have a pool that opens the second week of June and plenty of off camp sight parking. While I would have generally reserved this type of place as a 3 star review, here's what makes it a 4. The staff, we all know how some public employees can be..... these guys broke the mold! The park manager escorted us to our sight and gave us a quick rundown!!! The night(watchman?) stopped by and advised us on the 8am and 8pm trash pickups and where the local convenience stores were. On a side note he stopped every night to see if we needed anything! Pro tips, There is no beach There is no power on the sights There is a guy that comes by every night selling wood. Only 2 vehicles per sight.

We have camped all over New York State and have never had a bad experience until we tried Riverside…read moreAcres. One of the owners, Pam, asked that we call her when 5 minutes out. We did and wait until 10 minutes for her as she stopped to yell at other campers while on her golf cart. After tersely telling us her rules - including a 5 mph speed limit, which we felt was reasonable- she led us to our campsite. As I was driving 5 mph- we lost Pam who was indeed breaking this rule on her golf cart. The Campgrounds amenities were less than stellar. There was a dusty, dimly light game room that appeared to have not been touched in decades. The bathrooms floors were dirty. The coin operated 4 minute showers was something that I will never forget. The pool was very nice but we were told that we could only use it if there were two adults in there at all times. Our "campsite" was in the middle of an open field with other campers. There was no septic hook ups which we knew about in advance. I had to leave with our son for a few days. My wife and daughter stayed behind. That night, lights flickered in our camper and our AC went off and circuits were popping. My wife called for help and Pam's husband, John, showed. Up. He rudely accused of having a poorly wired camper- our 5th wheel was a new 2025- only on our second trip. He also rudely told her that she shouldn't have requested a 30 amp. She emphatically denied as she knows our 40 foot camper runs on a 50 amp. This was requested multiple times with as we had previously made our reservation over the phone. Pam admitted that it was her mistake and she also admitted to moving our site. John pointed out that no other campsite would help people in "the middle of the night".... It was only 9:15 PM at the end of June! We have been at Swan Bay as well as several KOA s in New York State, and had wonderful pleasant people help us well after his "middle of the night" time. John continued to insist as he yelled inches from my wife's face (witnessed by my daughter and reported by my wife) that our RV was wired wrong and he boasted that he had a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State. He stated that he knew what he was talking and that my wife needed to listen to him. My wife and I have several degrees but we both know that no degrees are needed to be kind to people. He kindly hooked a battery charger to our (labeled) Deep Cycle battery. My wife called me and said that nothing seemed to be working and I asked if the charger was on regular or derp cycle. It was regular so my wife switched it over to the correct setting. Unable to have any power, my wife and daughter, fleed early and paid for a Vrbo in the area. We had made arrangements to keep our RV there and John was nice enough to help us move it. The price for the unoccupied camper stay increased from the quoted $50 to $100 which I found out about when I arrived. It seemed reasonable at that time. Pam said that for our troubles that she would reimburse us the $100 with a check since we were taking it back home to the Finger Lakes area to have our RV dealer look it over. When I arrived for pick up - Pam indeed handed me a check - only made out for $50.00. No money was offered for the day that we had to leave. After a thorough check from our RV dealer- it was found that our camper was fine. We have enjoyed using our RV to its fullest capacities at other campgrounds the rest of this summer. We were greatly disappointed and are still aggravated by our experience this summer at the Riverside Acres campground in Clayton, NY
