Well... it seems Dr. Troxel has left us in the hands of his brother from another mother. While his wife Misty provides the administrative backbone to the practice, making sure everything runs smoothly, and processing patients' insurance paperwork ASAP, Dr. Forsee blends previous methods at the practice with is passion for new digital capabilities. I was therefore able, remarkably, to have three crowns put in during a single visit and avoid the anxiety of delayed or incomplete procedures due to hurricane interruptions. The current team surrounding the doctor is a balanced mix of former friends and talent with new equally skilled professionals. Dr. Forsee and this exceptional team made themselves available around our needs to prepare my husband for crisis heart bypass surgery by removing a badly decaying wisdom tooth that could have led to infection. We were both incredibly moved and strengthened when they called to follow his progress. Their timely help undoubtedly contributed greatly to my husband's rapid recovery during a frightening time. The doctor and his entire staff remain a world class, client-focused sanctuary not only of dental care, but humanity. We are privileged to have them in our small rural community.

I've never had a cavity or anything so at 49 years old I feel like a terrified little kid and they are so wonderful! They've guided me how to keep my natural tooth as long as possible, never rushed me toward any procedure like crown, root canal or extraction until now when the tooth is really needing to be taken out. Even then, Dr. Jones was happy to refer me to a local surgeon who does sedation which they don't do at Paradise, in case I was feeling like I needed that. I so appreciate the attention and care I've received as a patient at Paradise!

I couldn't help but rant and rave for an hour about how amazing the staff was even though I couldn't feel my face. I cracked my tooth so bad this morning I thought for sure I needed a crown, I had anxiety all day about how long it would be until I could fix it, how expensive it would be.. To my utter disbelief they fit me in the same day AND fixed it immediately with JUST A FILLING! Any other dentist would have said welp, you need a crown! And called it a day. But no, they were incredibly skilled, it was really comfortable, they were so kind, very fast, and actually affordable. I can't say enough how grateful I am.

On our first visit I took both my daughters to get seen by Dr. Vedrenne at keys kid dental (or…read morepreventative dentistry for children). She was very nice and checked her teeth. I was really surprise how she's the only one in the office. From checking in to exams. She told me my daughter J had no cavities and my daughter A had cavities in all her molars and 4 in the front teeth. I asked her "how much will each cavity cost me" and she told me "nothing. Your insurance covers them all". I asked her if she was sure and I explain to her that in all 6 years I've taken my daughter to the dentist that I always had to pay per cavity she reassured me that it was nothing so I made the appointment for my daughter A. We also discussed that she would have to get papoosa because of her age (she's 2) and I asked about sedation she told me they don't do that at her office because there's no hospital near by. She gave them both a toy and we went on our way. Our second appointment came around and she papoosa my child. Again no one was in the office but her. I had to help her hold my daughter still. She worked on her right side of her teeth. I notice her tools were really dirty. You know like when you have leftover toothpaste on the counter. I brushed it off as maybe I didn't pay close attention before she started using them. She gave her a toy and we went on our way. This is when it starts going downhill! Our 3rd appointment came around and I she papoosa my daughter. Again no one was in the office but her. She asked me to help her hold my daughter down and have one of her tools to not move in my daughters mouth (the tool that helps her keep her mouth all the way open). I helped her again this isn't my job. I'm her mom. The last thing I want to do is help a dentist hold down my daughter to get some fillings done because "there's no good help in marathon" that's not my problem. I've seen a lot of cavities filling being done and not a professional but she wasn't using much water or suction to clean after drilling on her teeth. Which was making the pieces of her tooth go down my daughters mouth. Which was causing her to gag. She wasn't properly suctioning the pieces of her teeth that she was drilling on her teeth and eventually made my daughter throw up. Instead of helping me put my daughter to the side she was grossed out and didn't help. I rinse of her tool and handed it back to her. Now she seems frustrated with my daughter and upset. She even asked me "do you want me to stop!". How can I had asked her to stop if there was no filling in my daughters tooth. Was I just supposed to take her like that home? . Her tools were dirty again all of them! When she was done doing my daughters fillings she put the tool (that keeps her mouth open and had previously thrown up on) back in the drawer. My daughter asked her for a toy and she said "no because you weren't well behave" she's TWO YEARS OLD! TWO!!! what two year old do you know what had been strapped down, threw up, and worked on well behave. I didn't say anything and just walked away. Later a week past by and I get a bill. Which it was whatever I didn't mind paying for work that had actually been done. I pay about $20 per cavity but in my bill it was stated that she had charge me for laughing gas twice. Which I didn't even know it was an option. Each laughing gas charge was $85 dollars. So I had an appointment the following week to fix my daughters front teeth because no one in the keys would fix them since she's only 2. On Monday our last appointment came. I talked to her about the charge that was not used the laughing gas. She proceeded to tell me that she CHARGES $115 FOR BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT(aka papoosa). That she can either charge me $85 for laughing gas or the $115 for the papoosa. I was in shocked and even asked if it was legal? She told me that yes it was legal and that she went to school for an extra 2 years to "learn how to properly papoosa a child". I was very doubtful about this. I feel like she just made an extra excuse of this random charge. How is she going to charge me an a fee to have my daughter papoosa and not tell me before this charge. Like maybe at our first appointment when we discuss about the dental plan. So I guess it's okay to charge me less for "laughing gas" that wasn't used instead of behavior management. Also she cancel my appointment twice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST! Even if she is the only pediatric dentist in the keys. I would go somewhere else. I should of ran away on our first visit but I didn't and now I have regrets. My daughter is terrified of the dentist. If I would of known I would of taken her to isle smile for her to get sedated instead. I trusted her and it was my mistake
