Don't even consider using this horrible company. They will lie to you and treat you poorly after they take a large chunk of your money. Rhino Shield repeatedly lied to us throughout the long stucco and painting project and did poor quality work that was far from what we were promised when they were selling their services. The cost was very high and was not justified by the poor quality work, done by a third-party crew that were frequently high on drugs at the job site. In addition, the 25-year warranty is a scam. Rhino Shield has refused to perform warranty work after fewer than two years since the completion of the project. Rhino Shield has made up excuses why the failing paint and stucco (which they also repaired) is failing and isn't a result of their poor workmanship so they can falsely claim that their failures are not covered by the warranty. We paid $235,000 for a crappy job that took them 6 months to complete..poorly. read more

caution, dont ever use Rhino Shield of Arizona. They painted our home and it was a fortune but we were promised like the TV adds states that "WED NEVER HAVE TO PAINT OUR HOME AGAIN". After the fist six months paint started to fade and turn orange and bubble all over the house. We called many times with no response until finally a year later the supervisor called us. He came out and looked at our home and said "oh sure we'll take care of it" he also told us that for many years the paint was bad and had issues with many homes and businesses in the valley! We've never heard back from him and after many repeat calls to the company we had to hire a new paint company to repaint our entire home. There rhino sheild crew over sprayed our windows, bbq, brand new outdoor tile all around our home, sprayed our outdoor lights, many of our plants, left garbage and cigarette butts everywhere and oversprayed paint on parts of our exterior doors. They missed painting some entire walls. They are the worst painters we've ever had. Over the years we've had our home painted three times with NO PROBLEMS until now. We paid over 40k for the crappiest quality rhino shield paint and their painters. The new company we hired to fix our home after two years of hell couldn't believe the mess and the poor quality paint from the rhino shield company. DONT USE RHINO SHIELD OF ARIZONA! I dont even want to give them one star in the ratings nor do we want anyone to go through what we did. Look up the BBB you will see many of the same complaints. read more

What a great look! Reading all the previous reviews and hearing them on my radio station-KTAR, I had to check these guys out for myself. Greg came out, right when expected and gave us a detail breakdown of RhinoShield's process. Not the 'Wham-Bam thank-you maam' of other painting companies. Greg answered every question, told us many things we didn't even think to ask. Thoroughly describing why the RhinoShield product is much better than the others. Ok, they cost a little bit more but the value is indisputable. We couldn't use anyone else, no one compared. Then, Junior and his crew arrives. Phoenix, Az. mid August they worked efficiently, very hard and paid close attention to detail. There was no damage to anything at my house, they cleaned up and even swept at the end of each day. Great experience, Great product. Great company you cannot ask for anything more!! read more

I'm very happy with this product. Very bright and clean. The sales guy, Greg Hazelwood, came out and worked up an estimate. Clearly explained the service and product. No pressure. It is pricey but with 25 years warranty makes it worth it. Jose and his crew super professional. My nosey neighbor even was impressed. Jose did everything Greg said they would do. Beautiful job guys. Highly recommend. FYI they work with my HOA for compliance. read more

RhinoShield Wowed Us When we moved to Arizona in December 2019, we were so excited to begin a new chapter away from the Midwest and away from those freezing winters. I know I speak for my husband when I say we were not ready for the heat in Arizona. The summers here are hot, but I still would trade them for the winters! By the time fall came, we started to notice that our green house was turning different shades of green and needed a new coat of paint. We had contractors out to give us bids and found out this happens when too much water is added to the paint to make it "go" further. After doing some research, we found my own father had his home painted three times in 17 years and it needed another paint job. So, in less than 20 years my dad had painted his house four times, and he lives in the California desert. This is when we found RhinoShield and had a rep come out. Lorenzo, who was our wonderful rep, told us how they guarantee their product to last AND look freshly painted for 25 years. Paint once in 25 years, not four times in 20 years. Yes, it is a bit more than if you just hired a regular painter or even did it yourself, however, if you think of the cost x 4, you will be saving money by hiring RhinoShield. Our team leader was Jose M, and he and his team were wonderful! They prepped, primed and painted quickly and efficiently. When they were finished, they walked me around and looked at everything. I did not see anything that needed attention but when my husband came home, he found that a couple of the drains on the windowsills had blockage. Jose quickly came back and addressed the issue and then walked my husband through what they did. My husband and I highly recommend our rep Lorenzo and the team who took care of our home with great care, Jose M and his team. Yes, the amount you pay is more than a regular one-time paint job for your home, however the savings is you won't need to paint three to four times in the span of your 25-year guarantee you have with RhinoShield. This is a beautiful look, and we love it. It has already been a little over a year and looks like it was painted yesterday. read more

We were interested in getting our house repainted to a lighter color and were intrigued by the science behind latex coating. We requested a quote from Rhino Shield. The salesperson showed up and did the usual walk through with his yard roller to measure the perimeter of the house. After that, he sat us down to show us his product. That's when the pressured sales pitch started. He used every single possible high pressure sales tactIVs known to men. When we didn't show any interest or falling for his sales pitch, he doubled down and put more pressure on us for "wasting his time" and "he had someone to report to". We simply asked for 24 hours to think about a 40K paint job that he is trying to sell us. My wife ended up leaving the table and showing him the door. 40K means we can probably paint our house with conventional paint 10 times. He also try to oversell an 1800 dollar traditional paint job for 9000 dollars on our exterior block wall fence. I have not met a more ridiculous sales person in my life. Think twice before you call them. read more

Time will tell how well it holds up. The owner's to- be son-in-law pitched a tale, and got us on the hook. That's where the romance ended. The all Mexican work crew showed up a day later than scheduled. No englush speaking person foreman onsite throughout. Their truck kept breaking down so they wouldn't show up at all or on time. We never spoke to a 'representative' of the company or anyone for that matter. We would get texts (seemingly translated from Spanish, based on poor context, pronouns, etc ) advising their arrival, one time at 635pm saying they wouldn't make it that day. They blocked off our windows for over 4 days and all access to our garages (cars to get in and out) for a week. We felt trapped and isolated. Thankfully they gave access after a brief period to our front door. Mind you, this would have been a much easier process had someone communicated wirh us. We never did get a call to check up from the American company we hired about the Mexicans who were dropped on our property. Someone even got into our master exterior house breaker box to flip a breaker to obtain power for their Mexican music, without consulting us. They had turned on our dormant roof heaters for who knows how long 4 - 7 days before we noticed. We removed their power adapter cable from the outlets (meamt for roof heaters) and confiscated it. When we brought it up to the company they denied it. Hmmm. For the price we paid for our Rhino painted house, we would have been better off to get Mexixans from the street corner. This is not a legit professional company. We will see how they honor their warranty. For now I'm disappointed and dubious. read more

First the good news, the product is actually pretty good. With just regular paint my bedroom wall used to get very warm to the touch in the summer time. After Rhino shield I noticed a huge difference in the inside wall temps in the summer time. Now the bad news. Customer service is crap, only a few years after my original coating the paint in some spots was flaking off. I was told they like to get this stuff resolved in less than 2 weeks from the initial call, after about 5 weeks they finally made it out to the house and a few weeks after that they finished the repairs. 2 weeks after that the paint where they did the repairs was falling off again because they just painted over the stuff that was already coming off without even pealing it off. They did have to replace the soffit because the builders used drywall instead of plywood. (not Rhino's fault and glad they fixed that) this was also the reason the paint was coming off in the first place, at least for the soffit part but the facia and main body of the house was just lazy workers. They also left a mess all the way around the house of broken drywall and paint. There are still spots where there is spray over paint from the trim on the main house, there are spots where the paint is just falling off near the ground, and there are chips in the walls under where they removed the old soffits and just let them fall and hit the house. I am still waiting to hear back after reaching out to them to come repair their repairs. read more

We are totally satisfied with the job Rhino Shield did on our home. Junior, Tony and their crew were prompt, efficient, friendly, and left no trace upon completion. We had to reschedule a few times due to other issues and Rhino Shield was very accommodating. They showed up at the appointed time, fully explained the process, and did a very professional job. We made a conscious decision to go with Rhino Shield as they are significantly more expensive than traditional paint. We look forward to never having to paint again. When you sign up, ask for Junior's crew! read more

We had Rhino Shield paint our single level home. Junior and his crew did a wonderful job. They were very professional and courteous. The work was done quickly - we expected a 3-day project, but they finished after 2 days. Junior answered all of our questions and kept us in the loop as the job progressed. We did a thorough walk-through and are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the product. We very highly recommend Rhino Shield, and if you do decide to use Rhino Shield be sure to request Junior and his crew. read more

This is the second time we have used Rhinoshield on a home. The first was a stucco home and we were so pleased with the product, that we decided to use it on our new wood sided home. It definitely increased the value of our previous home and the Warranty transferred to the new owners without incident. The product is so incredible! Our home looks fresh and stylish and we won't have to paint for 25 years!! This time, we also had our roof done, which has a 10 year warranty! This product is worth every penny!! AND..Rhinoshield of Arizona employs the BEST professionals to apply the product. From the salesmen, office manager, owner, Workers in the field, they are courteous, listen, patient, friendly, neat, take pride in their work, and they truly want the customer happy. We can't be happier!! Lynne and Frank Camp Verde read more

I do not recommend this company... the application looks horrible - spent 30k - kicking myself for paying for the job because they said they would take care of us... Tim, the GM owner who 'always' answers his phone forgot to mention how that stops once he is paid... the worst service I have ever seen... I wanted the product and they are the only distributer in AZ. Spitting mad at how this ended... I complained the moment Jose started spraying... wasn't being applied per the video on their site... my husband was a professional painter... the prep we were told would be done was not, the list of broken promises and changed stories is a novel... Buyer Beware! read more

I have had a bad experience with this company during the work and after. Their customer service SUCKS. The head guy Christian was always trying to cut corners I personally heard him tell his lead crew Foreman this he didn't know that I heard him. They completely left out a section unpainted unfortunately the paint was a close match that I thought it was a window pop out shadow one day I was face lifting the pop out paint and saw the whole missed area when I called there office and explained everything they said no can't help you it's been over 5 years, and he wanted to charge me $200.00 to do that 15 minute job, I explained to him that they didn't paint that whole area so the job is like incomplete and he had told me that I had a 25 year warranty it was a two story house front entrance at top corner area shadowed, he said can't do it without charging you , it was at that time I started questioning is company customer services, my last question was so you are going to leave me hanging here he said pretty much, I had been looking at it way before the 5 years and always thought it was the sun lighting and pop out shadow above area. Back 8 years ago I payed over $10.000 bucks for that job. SO YOU BE THE JUDGE !!!!! read more

I've been a homeowner in Arizona for 19 years, and I've contracted five exterior paint jobs on different homes during that period of time. This job from Rhino Shield has the worst workmanship and customer service of the five, and I believe that this company has no integrity. They send the same folks out repeatedly, and they perform the same low quality work. Additionally, the 25-year warranty only covers 5 years labor, so you'll be painting your house yourself after 5 years! Not recommended. read more

Buyers beware. Quote is higher than industry, and basically your deposit is nonrefundable. We requested a quote from Southwestern Ceramic Coatings. Aka Rhino Sheild in Tempe, AZ. After an extremely high quote. We went a head and placed a down payment for work to be done with in a years time. We waited about 4 days from initial weekend turn down(after the down payment was collected) turn down from the finance company. Assured by the sales person, that all funds are refundable. After the 4 days of waiting on the word from the finance company that it would be best if we waited till January to get approved. As we begin checking into the cost...and the word that this process adds value to our home. We became concerned, and decided to cancel and request our down payment back. Took 2 days longer for them to tell us that no refund of deposits after the third day. This company knows its going to take more than 3 days to get any kind of final approval. They don't care if they complete the work or not. read more

I paid these guys $12,000 to coat my roof and after 3 different times of coming back and recoating it, it still peeled, cracked and formed bubbles. I finally had to get another roofer in to fix the problem and Rhino Shield would not stand by their product because I used another company to resolve the problem. They expected me to call them and have them recoat it again for the 4th time. They were not only overpriced by at least double what other companies charged they do not stand by their work. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. For people out their looking to get their roof coated, find another company. DC in Sun City. read more

So... I am a great believer in honesty. My wife and I went to the Home Show at State Farm Stadium a couple weeks ago and asked them about their process.Talked in great length to their Field Sales Manager, James Raanes about their product and application. For the last 30 years I have been a follower of "Rosie on the House"® for as the referral for contractors, they has always been spot on. Never a failure. So I asked James Raanes if they were a partner of "Rosie on the House"® and he he stated that "yes indeed they are and that they had actually painted Rosie Romero's home." Mr. Raanes further stated that "Rosie on the House"® would recommended them before any other painting company. Now having heard and not quite remembering what "Rosie on the House"® had said about this painting technique... I contacted "Rosie on the House"®.... Their response... Thank you for contacting Rosie on the House, where we are celebrating 32 years of being Every Arizona Homeowner's Best Friend! That is very odd that Rhino Shield had told you that at the Home Show. We can tell you they are in no way, shape, or form associated with or certified by Rosie on the House. We personally are not fans of Rhino Shield as a product and would not recommend it if asked. Our suggestion would be to contact Arizona Painting Company, they offer a 10 year warranty with Sherwin Williams Duration, 100% Acrylic paint. Thank you again for reaching out and making us aware of this, we do hope the information provided is of use. If there is anything else we can be assistance of please feel free to reach back out via email or phone. Thank you for being a loyal listener, have a great rest of your day! So Mr. James Raanes, because you so eagerly deceived my wife and I, I say shame on you. I also give thanks for "Rosie on the House"® for saving our family again. read more

Worst paint ever! It started fading within a year, called them, they came out looked at it and never came back. Call them several time NO luck, finally they got back said they could recoat it but they wanted to charge us more then the original job. Rhino Shield will NOT stand behind their work. This is the worst paint job ever! I had it repainted by a different contractor because it looked SOO bad. If anyone is going to sue these guys let me know so I can get onboard with you? read more

Not worth the cost. Deceptive managers. Read all the details about their guarantees and warranties about the job. Warranty is only for 5 years! We paid around 5x the normal cost of a paint job due to the quality promised us. We had to have the painters come back multiple times to fix glaring mistakes and areas that were not painted. We were told guarantees and promises that didn't happen. Once paid they disappeared and didn't want to schedule to correct mistakes. They feel our request for a quality job is being too picky, but how did they manage to notice finish painting our door when it was pointed out multiple times? We are now here months later and my door isn't finished and they won't come out. It is terrible to see the poor quality of the worl done, even of the quality of the paint costs something so extravagant. This is how they stay in business, preying on the few people who can afford it, which is very sad right now during the pandemic when painting your house is a luxury but they cannot be bothered to do a proper job. read more

Just had my house painted by Rhino Shield.  I would highly recommend them to paint your house.  Carlos, the lead painter was very detailed in his work and kept me informed each day of what was going on.  They power washed the house,  then patched all existing cracks.  Maurice scraped off all the dried up paint on the wood fascia.  They caulked around all my windows and doors and applied a primer coat before the finish coat.  Christian, the dealer, when estimating the cost did a walk around of the house with me and explained everything and followed up a few times during the job.  Very happy with the work and the neighbors were impressed also. read more
