I was told that the email was received and a response could be expected in a few hours. I NEVER HEARD BACK, no email, no phone call! I deserved some type of response. The playground for my kids was excellent, allowing my wife and me to focus on selecting the right couch for our new house. The entire sales team was very helpful and friendly, assisting us in choosing the right couch and mattress for our daughter. The delivery team was in and out of our house very quickly and efficiently; they were on time and very professional. The sales woman was nice but asked me to bring in the giant mirror 79 inches by 33 inches myself. I said I could not that it was to big she then asked me to pull my car up and she would help me. I got my car and pulled up to the door area, left my flashers on and waited inside for a staff member for several minutes which seemed like a long time especially when my car was illegally parked outside. The process was annoying when I was sold a damaged item. I was a frustrated with the whole thing. The majority of works are priced between $1k and $7k. A large variety of styles are available. What caught our eye was work using a particularly interesting color palette, located on the righthand wall. Basically, bright rainbow colors within very dark blue outlines and a dark background. Very eye catching and interesting to look at. The artist for those paintings happened to notice us admiring them and proceeded to explain why he decided to start painting them in this particular style and showed us some of his prior work in this style. The paintings went from small scale, that'd you'd hang in a bathroom, to large scale that'd be at home in the centerpiece of any Texas ranch! The staff was there and made sure we knew that the artists were all local and that they ship to the lower 48 states, no matter how big the painting. The gallery was inviting and well lit, and they offered plenty of room to be able to take in all the art. There's a wide variety of artists, all doing cool stuff. Unlike a traditional enclosed mall, La Cantera is an open-air shopping center where you're strolling from store to store in the Texas sunshine. Considering we've had what feels like a month of nonstop rain, I was thrilled that Mother Nature finally gave us a bright, sunny day. While the rain has been good for the lawn and plants, I am definitely ready for it to stop. We started near Nordstrom and leisurely made our way toward Zara, popping in and out of stores along the way. One of my favorite parts of shopping is discovering what's new. I was pleasantly surprised to see several stores that had opened since my last visit. Exploring those new spaces made the trip even more enjoyable. You can find a variety of price points at this mall, making it appealing to a broad range of folks. By the end of the day, my brother scored a few stylish pieces from Zara Men, while I somehow managed to leave empty-handed. Surprisingly, I didn't mind one bit. What makes it ideal for these outings is that it has a great mix of everything. His mom has a few specific spots she absolutely loves hitting up every single time, from the big anchor stores like Nordstrom and Dillard's to some of her favorite specialty boutiques. It really takes the stress out of our monthly outings because we already know the layout, the parking is easy, and there are plenty of spots to grab a bite when she needs a break.
