A trustworthy contractor! Great work on fence and communication. Thank you, Rolando! !

It was a great experience working with Rolando and his team. I needed a dilapidated fence completely rebuilt, redone lattices, and painting of the fences and two decks. I originally hired Rolando just for the initial deck repair but found out he and his team can do so much more. Along the way, they also removed a tree, and built a custom wall and gate underneath my second story elevated deck, along with an additional fence rebuild. Rolando is communicative, collaborative, honest, and trustworthy. His prices were competitive and fair, and they were timely, efficient, and cleaned up everyday. He really transformed the way my entire outdoor space looks. I'll definitely be working with Rolando and his team again! read more

Got a quote, but was told prices might go up by 25% due to lumber costs. Followed up twice to ask for the quote to be updated and spoke to someone who said they would email back but never did. Communication is difficult. Also their business name is Five7 Construction so it's unclear who I need to talk to and who is doing the project. read more

Amazing crew - super responsive, quick and came up with a smart solution to fix my problem.

Rolando is easy to work with and constructed 2 beautiful and sturdy gates for my yard

Rolando and his team did an outstanding job with our fence. This is the second fence I've contracted Rolando for, and this one was more complex given the concrete base and in built step lighting. The team worked hard and efficiently, and delivered the project on time with zero hiccups. I would recommend this team to anyone for their fence projects! read more

Rolando and his crew did a fantastic job on stabilizing our existing fence and gate and adding some new fences and benches. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning up and keeping the job site clean during the project. They found some very creative ways of reusing some of our existing work and keeping the cost down. Great small job done quickly and well. I needed a gate added to the front-side of my house. They quoted a reasonable price for the job, and started the next week. Finished building/hanging the gate in a day. It looks great. Quality materials and construction. I would use them again when I need other fencing replaced. read more

Had appointment to repair a fence. Didn't show up on agreed date to do the work or contact me about failure to show up. Once I reached out, Rolando didn't immediately re-schedule. Finally, I figured that this couldn't possibly be the best choice. I can't speak to the quality of the work. Maybe it's good. I don't know. Courteous enough guy. read more

I can not say enough positive things about Rolando and his crew. We needed to replace a huge amount of decaying fence. We had challenges with neighbors on two sides. Rolando and his crew were professional, polite and gave us an excellent fence at a very reasonable price. He is a gem! read more

As a remote home investor with a property in Oakland, Rolando and his team made the experience of getting my fence replaced extremely easy. We did a remote quote and he had great communication throughout the entire process. Neighbors hitting me up to get their contact information was definitely a testament to his professionalism. He was knowledgeable about all fence types and stain options. To replace over 60 feet of fence, it took 2 full days and then he became back to stain on another day. We had very few days without a fence and our tenants were extremely happy. He had a great rating when we worked with him and still had very competitive quotes w/ no surprises. read more

Rolando and his team did a great job on our new fence. He was quick to respond, was pleasant to work with and provided the best quote. Rolando wants to ensure that the customer is happy and if there is anything that seems off, he will fix it right away. We were initially unhappy with the spacing, which was an honest misunderstanding, but he quickly fixed it. We are happy with the final product and we receive lots of compliments on our fence. It is helpful to have photos to show Rolando so he has an idea of what you want. I think this is a good idea for any home improvement project. There is another Garcia Fence that can be confusing so make sure you have the right company owned by Rolando. read more

Rolando and his crew did an excellent job on a new fence and repair of another in our backyard and I would very readily hire them again. Good price for value. We hired Rolando to replace two separate fences and install a new gate. His team worked very fast and kept things very clean. Halfway through the project we discovered the need to adjust the plan (new retaining wall) and expand the scope of work, and he was very flexible in making those changes. He came recommended by several of my neighbors. Very prompt communication and a very fast team. read more

There was a lot to like with Garcia Fencing. Rolando came out quickly to bid on the job and give a rough estimate of a start date. He checked in and scheduled a time. They actually showed up and did a good job with matching the existing fence style and cleaned up after themselves. My only issue is I had a straight fence line and after they replaced a segment the new fence did not meet the existing fence - by a lot. I had to point this out since I didn't want my dogs to plunge to their deaths through the large gap. Soooo, they stuck a board between the two and called it good (see the pretty picture). Thank goodness a large plant covers this area, but it certainly decreased my overall satisfaction. read more

Rolando and his team do excellent work and his estimate came in below several others. I needed a snarl of ivy removed and 75 feet of fence replaced and they knocked it out in 1/2 a week. Rolando is professional and communicates well. I would recommend him to anyone. Great guy! read more

Rolando and his team replaced an old chain-link fence with a lovely redwood fence in our house in Upper Laurel. Rolando was quick to reply to any questions, and very easy to deal with. He came out on site to evaluate the project and discuss options. I will start off this review by saying I highly recommend Rolando to take care of your fence and gate needs. When looking to build a brand new side gate and potentially a neighbor fence, I got estimates from approximately five separate small and local businesses. I based my choices on Yelp photos and reviews. What initially caught my attention about Garcia Fencing were the gorgeous photos that his clients have taken the time to post in addition to providing thoughtful reviews with complete satisfaction. And now, I too, am one of those happy clients that want to show off Rolando's beautiful work and see his business flourish. Rolando took very great attention to my particular safety and privacy requests which involved a specific height, specific locking mechanism, and anti-climb design. I wanted to take our safety even further and purchased metal spikes to add to his project and the installation was included in his estimate without any concerns. Rolando delivered on his agreement on time and quality of work. The result of the side door was even more beautiful than we imagined it to be. Since we experienced Rolando and his team's solid work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, quality of work, and excellent communication skills, we were ready to hire them for our second project. Needless to say, the neighbor fence turned out beautiful. All of our requests were met and the result is leaving us incredibly happy, feeling safer, and grateful for more privacy. I will use Rolando for any future projects and would recommend him and his hard working crew anytime to anyone. He was very respectful to my elderly mother and loved giving high fives to my little boys. He even made some planter boxes with leftover wood for my mom who loves to garden. The added bonus is Garcia Fencing and Gates beat every competitor's price that I requested estimates from. His work is worth every dollar. Thank you, Rolando! read more

We wanted to build a fence and retainer wall for our front yard and met with Rolando. He had the most competitive pricing by a landslide, and was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was always on time or even early for our 8am appointments. He was extremely communicative about when he was 5 minutes away, or going to step away to another site while his team was working. For the stains, he brought us a brochure of the different colors so we could pick out the one we wanted. The fence was built quicker than we thought, and looks amazing. I would highly recommend Rolando and had a great experience! read more

I needed my fence rebuilt (and parts fixed) from last winter's damage . They gave me a good quote. So after getting a few bids, I decided to use them. His work crew were very friendly and finished on time. I even made a few minor adjustments on the project and they accommodated my requests with no problem. I will definitely use them again on my small projects at home. I am glad I am able to support a small company like them. read more

Rolando Garcia & his team rebuilt approx 70ft of my side fence in May2024. The scope included reusing most of the existing redwood fence boards, replacing numerous posts, adding new posts, rebuilding part of the retaining wall beneath the fence, and staining both sides of the fence & retaining wall. The work was complicated with a slope hillside. Rolando's estimate was competitive; pricing for scope changes were reasonable. Despite several changes the fence was completed on time. Rolando is easy to work with; this was easily one of my best experiences working with a contractor.. read more

Gave us a great bid and did a great job. I plan to hire them to do other things for my yard such as paint a wall that used to covered in ivy, replace broken cement, clean gutters? Etc. I got several bids and his was the lowest and he was available in just a few days. The fence looks great. They also removed all the ivy and fixed another fence gate. read more

Rolando and his team were a pleasure to work with. The communication was clear, his team was punctual and hardworking, and we are very happy with the overall quality of the construction. We had a vision for how the gate was going to function, which Rolando very quickly understood completely. Using the ideas we had provided he designed exactly what we were looking for, including thinking through custom solutions to make it all work (such as the latching mechanism). Prior to starting the job his team helped us remove the existing chainlink fence and gate, as well as some very large plants that were in the way which we very much appreciated. Then, once the project was completed he even came back to help with removing another section of chainlink fence and built a barrier to block a gap between the fences so that our dog wouldn't escape. We had a great experience and would recommend his team to anyone working on a fence or gate project in the East Bay. read more

This fence speaks for itself. It is a "Piano Key Lattice With Post Cap" fence, which is more labor intensive but absolutely worth it! This is A++ quality work. Countless neighbors have been asking who did our fence, which really stands out in our neighborhood. I had some very particular design requests, and Rolando was really fantastic to work with, turning every detail of our vision into a reality, including a matching 7 ft gate. Wow. We couldn't be happier. Last but not least, Rolando's crew was fantastic, showing up on time at 8am every day, doing really quality work from start to finish. Really nice guys, too. Every bit of this process was solid, from the quote to scheduling and planning... and the finished product is absolutely amazing. I couldn't recommended Rolando and his crew more! read more

Rolando was very responsive to my request to bid the project. BTW, a large bay area fencing company "lost" my paperwork in the final scheduling process where they were supposed to start in two and a half weeks but heard crickets and called to see what was up with a sorry you fell through the cracks. Fence and gate were quoted about 14% lower than the original contractor. Came out looking sharp and the job was completed on-time plus the cleaned and swept the whole work area. Besides great service with a smile, always awesome to support a small business and we will have Rolando and crew back later this summer to replace about 200 feet of redwood fencing. read more
