Jess is the absolute best host! The building is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Walking in is like time hopping, you can feel the history. But the service is what truly sets this place apart - Jess goes above and beyond in every way. There is no detail overlooked, her warmth and ability to make your visit the best it can be made it just that - perfection! There was nothing I would change! We will be back! read more

Amazeballs...service and the facility has all the comforts of home. Thank You Jessica and family! Our stay at the Reynolds Mansion was absolutely wonderful. The room, Carriage House Suite #2(?) was huge and beautifully arranged, with beautiful furniture and all the amenities of home. You can tell that real thought and care went into every detail at the Mansion B&B and the Carriage House suites. As a bonus, the entire mansion was decorated beautifully for Christmas, which made it even more magical. What really made our visit exceptional was the warm hospitality from Jessica and her family. A team who run the property. Shortly after we settled in, they have a Happy Hour and also offered small bites and homemade treats. We were also lucky enough to get a tour of the other rooms in the mansion that weren't yet occupied - each one is uniquely themed, and we're looking forward to our return visit to experience Jessica's superb service and offerings! These thoughtful touches portray the level of care and hospitality that sets the Reynolds Mansion apart. The Reynolds Mansion perfectly balances historic charm with comfort and exceptional personal service. We highly recommend this gem in Bellefonte and can't wait to come back! Our daughter graduates from PSU end of the year, I hope to reserve the entire facility for our family n friends who travel to the graduation. read more

We decided to spend a few days in this part of PA & decided to stay here as our 'base of operations'. Even though neither of us went to Penn State ;) we chose the 3rd floor Nittany Blue Room to make use of the jetted tub. The view from the room was great & the tub was very nice. The building itself is splendid - it's on the National Register of Historic Places after all ;) - very nicely decorated! Our hosts were very gracious - breakfasts were awesome... worth coming down early for. Only thing I had trepidation about was parking - the small parking area near the building fills up quickly, but we did not have to 'worry' about parking in one of the many spots nearby on the street. (did use my parking brake as there is a bit of a slope & I didn't want to worry about rolling down the hill). We did not get a chance to make use of all amenities (like the billiards room), but we did make use of the massage services which were AWEsome! I would definitely stay here again! read more

We have been staying here for PSU games for over 30 years, and always love coming back to the Reynolds Mansion. Jess, the new innkeeper, has continued to maintain the friendliness and professionalism we have come to expect. We are always greeted with a warm and welcoming smile, and the rooms are immaculately maintained. We look forward to more years here! read more

The Mansion is Amazing. We stayed in the colonel Green Room. It was beyond enjoyable. I would probably rate this as a top lifetime stay and I have traveled the world as a climber. read more

After nearly a decade of visiting the Reynold Mansion, I was incredibly disappointed in the experience we had this weekend. The Innkeeper has very poor customer service. when a toilet broke she did not get it repaired and instead told us it was not in the budget to have it fixed over the weekend. that meant people paying full price for a room had to use the toilet in a common area. The front door lock code was broken when we arrived ant 2AM but we were able to find a way in without waking the Innkeeper. When we told her the next morning she responded by blaming us for not telling her, rather than apologizing. There were no apologies for the broken toilet or door. There was no calling clients by name or asking how their stay was. There was no interest in asking what they could do to make our stay perfect. I'm sad to see our time at Reynolds Mansion end in such a low note. read more

Love the Mansion! Customer service and experience is the best! Recommend to everyone coming to Bellefonte!

We loved staying at Reynolds Mansion! We stayed in both the cottage and the Nittany blue room and both were so beautiful, clean, and fun to stay in! What made this place so great was that it had that beautiful historic atmosphere but with modern amenities like the jacuzzi, jetted tub, etc. The innkeeper Jess was super nice and helpful. She made the place feel like a home away from home. The homemade breakfasts in the mornings were delicious. The location was great, it was a short easy walk to the downtown area. There are lots of restaurants and a beautiful park in that area. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast and would stay here again! read more

What a hidden gem, we've been visiting the area for years and wanted something a little special for our anniversary and found the Reynold's Mansion. What a beautiful, historic place, you feel like you're stepping back in time. Jess and her mom are amazing, gracious hostesses from the moment you arrive. The beds are so comfy and we slept wonderfully each night. The breakfast each morning was delicious, the perfect way to start your day. We will be back! Thanks ladies for your hospitality! read more

Beautiful bnb, would give 6 stars if we could. The owners were wonderful. Amazing architecture and woodwork throughout (the whole town is quite amazing). Oversized rooms compared to any bnb I've stayed at prior. All the rooms are even better in person. We have toured many turn of the century historical mansions in our area, this time we got to spend the night. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and a tour of the mansion. Mike and Tricia were great hosts and excellent cooks. We hope to visit again. Highly recommended if you are in the area. read more

Romantic Victorian mansion with unrivaled customer service On first site, the mansion is a gorgeous masterpiece from the Victorian era. Once inside, it is only more impressive. The woodwork is detailed. The artwork thematic. The quality was only outshone by Mike and Trish's service. They have done a fantastic job of maintaining this piece of history. Upon arrival, Mike warmly greeted us and gave us a tour of the mansion ending in our room, the Colonel's Green room. Cozy fireplace, in-room bath and plush furniture were just right for our anniversary weekend. Breakfasts is a five star experience; eggs benedict and fruit smoothie, another was banana bread French toast with sausage. Mike and Trish dovetail the cooking and serving in such a warm way. Our anniversary couldn't have been better celebrated in such a romantic place with genuinely outstanding service! read more

I also own a historic Inn and spent a lot of time and money upgrading it to meet current traveler expectations. You HAVE to go here!!! We came to PA for the first time on a summer road trip and we Have never been to Pennsylvania before or stayed in a bread and breakfast. I was very nervous about the experience but what a wonderful time we had. Tricia and Mike the owners are just amazing people. They're kind and real people who you can talk to. Everything about the stay was great especially their two dogs that greeted us when we came back from our excursions during the day. My husband and I got a real kick out of them joining us for breakfast one day because we missed our own fur baby so much on our week away that it was nice to have another dog around while we were not at home. One of the best things about this experience was the cleanliness! Coming out of Covid I have been very nervous about staying anywhere that is not my own home and all I can say is our room and bathroom was spotless! There was not a hair or a piece of dust or anything that made me feel unsafe or unsanitary. While we were down at breakfast in the morning housekeeping came right in emptied our garbage is cleaned our room made our bed and by the time we got back upstairs it was as if nothing was out of place. It was a very welcoming experience and we stayed at two other places on our vacation that did not measure up to this! If our travels ever took us out to Pennsylvania again we would be sure to look up Tricia and Mike! read more

Reynolds Mansion is a gorgeous B&B in a beautiful historic building. The original woodwork in the mansion is stunning and well-kept. There are many different rooms downstairs to hang out in, whether you want to have a sit or shoot pool in the billiards room. Each room is worth looking at carefully, for the fireplaces, woodwork, and decor. We stayed in the Colonel's Green room, a large room with beautiful antique wood furniture as well as 2-person jacuzzi. It's tastefully decorated and very charming. Breakfast was a wonderful home-cooked 3-course affair involving a nice selection of juices, scones, a "breakfast lasagna" that was like a frittata with eggs, potatoes, vegetables, and sausage bits. We also took banana chocolate chip muffins to go, since we were already stuffed. Trish & Mike are great hosts & made us feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Reynolds Mansion for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. read more

Mosey up the quaint brick driveway and park underneath an enormous sycamore tree. Here begins your stay at the Reynolds Mansion. Warm and welcoming are owners Tricia and Mike. If you're lucky enough to get a tour, you'll be able to see the vast array of rooms and hear the fascinating stories of the mansion and it's rich history. Most information can be found in Reynoldsmansion.com, but I guarantee the pictures don't do it justice. All rooms have high-end bath and bed linens, where modern conveniences are married with old world charm. Coffee/tea stations are located on each floor, available 24/7, and on the second floor there is a full sized fridge w cold bottled water, a microwave, iron and ironing board. We stayed in the Belle Fonte room. It was lovely with a king bed and a reading nook complete with comfortable resting chairs, a table, fine tall shuttered ( or unshuttered) windows and a chandelier. All rooms have special codes private to you, so no actual keys or key cards to worry about. Anything 'modern' is made to blend in, hence not to disturb the eras decorating style. Breakfast day one: Cranberry and orange scones, croque madame and marble cake. All baked (Tricia) and cooked (Mike) to perfection Breakfast day two: lemon, blueberry pastry cups-extremely light and flaky, an apple crunch cinnamon, French toast, ricotta cheese kinda thing with maple syrup. Served with a dollop of whipped cream and two delicious sausage patties and a chocolate chip muffin. Coffee, tea and juice all available in unlimited supply Tony and Nia, and sometimes Bernie visit you in different locations and there are doggie treats to purchase and make instant friends. The Snuggery is a relaxing room with historical artifacts from the Reynolds family. You are welcome to peruse through books and magazines and enjoy a brandy with some Hershey kisses. The over-sized leather chairs are very comfortable and almost force you to relax, if you aren't already. I cannot express how lovely Tricia and Mike are. They are informative, friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I met here because it was close to in-between where we both live. It was a fantastic girls getaway for a few days and we'll be back soon. I'm already talking to the hubby about the next trip! read more

Whenever my wife and I are fortunate enough to be passing through central Pennsylvania, a stay at the Reynolds Mansion is a must! This bed and breakfast is without a doubt our favorite in the world. My wife and I have so far experienced the Nittany Blue, Cherub, and Grand Tour rooms. The mansion is not only historic but comfortable, elegant yet an architectural delight. What other B&B would you ever find yourself down on hands and knees admiring the beauty and precision of inlaid floors? The owners, Tricia and Mike are knowledgeable and have anticipated very well what a B&B guest needs and wants, not to mention the excellent breakfast that is served. The Reynolds Mansion is truly a gem in the picturesque town of Bellefonte and worth every penny. read more

This was a perfect bed and breakfast for a weekend getaway for me and my wife. Our room (Nittany Blue Room) was clean, warm, and quiet up on the third floor. Breakfast was delicious and filling! We visited right before Thanksgiving of 2020 and Mike and Tricia were setting up for Christmas. With the history of the mansion and the decorations, we felt like we were celebrating the holidays in the 1930's which was very cool! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it! Also, Mike and Tricia did a great job taking precautions for Covid. They spaced all the guests out for breakfast and everyone was required to wear masks while walking around. We appreciated them taking good measures for safety. read more

We had a wonderfully relaxing overnight stay recently at the Reynolds Mansion. Upon arriving we were greeted at the front door by Merlin and Paul the innkeepers and owners. They told us a little about the Mansion's history and gave us all the details about what to expect and where to find snacks, library, breakfast, etc. We were beyond impressed!! Our lovely. room was on the third floor which allowed us to walk up and down the magnificent stairwell many times. We felt like the Royal couple while there!! read more

My boyfriend surprised me with a night away for my birthday. This is exciting enough in its own right, but I never imagined just how great it would be! From the second you pull into the brick driveway and see the size and beauty of the building, to the owners' kind and caring hospitality, to the amazing breakfast - you can't go wrong! We accidentally booked the wrong room, and were initially a bit disappointed... but I don't believe you can come here and BE disappointed! The room, the view, the bathroom, the amenities, were FANTASTIC! Before we even left, we were planning our next trip down. It's about a three hour drive for us, and it will absolutely be our favorite little getaway for years to come! Thank you both so much for everything read more

Incredible Stay @ Reynolds Mansion Our recent stay at the Reynolds Mansion was simply outstanding. Trish & Mike were super kind, courteous and always accommodating. The breakfasts were delightfully tasty and served in an elegant old world ambience. Fresh gourmet coffee, assorted juices, freshly baked pastries and a variety of hearty breakfast favorites were served every morning in the stately dinning room. The rooms were spacious, handsomely decorated and impeccably maintained. The architectural woodwork and Victorian design throughout the mansion epitomizes lost old world craftsmanship. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the suites loaded with all the necessary amenities. The Mansion, which happens to be a historic landmark, was centrally located to all the Bellefonte shops and restaurants. (Walking distance to most establishments)This wonderful bed and breakfast is also only about 15 minutes to State College-a plethora of fine restaurants, pubs, retail shops and of course, Penn State University & Beaver Stadium. I highly recommend the Reynolds Mansion and will definitely be journeying back to this Beautiful Victorian Paradise. Trish & Mike bring a perfect product to market! read more

My Mother and I met here for our annual Mother's Day weekend getaway. I booked a stay in the New York room as well as two massages. We were greeted by an adorable pup which was awesome because we love dogs. The reservation process was super easy and once we got there we were given a tour and escorted to our rooms. I searched for days for a B&B like this... most are too old fashioned and outdated. But not this one! My Mom and I were very impressed. They managed to keep all of the original details and original charm without the headache inducing wall paper or 800 old tchotchkes (no offense to any other B&Bs)... The New York room was so fabulous and chic. The claw tub in the bathroom was amazing. The exterior/green space was also very nice. Very nicely kept and pretty. Lisa the masseuse stopped by our room to give us the paperwork for the massages. There is a separate spa room down the hall. She was personable and gave us great massages. Would definitely recommend! There was a nice Keurig in the middle of the hall with a variety of coffee. Breakfast was also veryyyy good!! We walked around Bellefonte but nothing was open. We ended up driving to State College and checking out the gardens and the creamery. Very short drive! We had such a fabulous time here. I definitely recommend it. We peaked into an empty room, I forget which one it was, and it was just as nice! Can't go wrong with this place. read more

Me and my husband were suppose to take a trip to Reynolds mansion this weekend, a trip I was really looking forward BUT that sadly won't happen. We have been a part of a river search for a suicidal teen who is like a son to us who has still not been recovered, a story that is being spread all over the world #bringjenohome #jenomoretti, me and my husband explained this to Reynolds mansion and requested to possibly move our date to another date maybe a weekend that not typically busy. We were told that was not allowed per their non refundable policy, we explained we did not want a refund just some understanding that what was happening was something so horrific and no one ever expects to live through something so tragic, they did not have any care. Their concern was making an exception and how it would be unfair to their guests. When they have repeat guests come they give them vouchers to come back for a free stay, why is it that you accommodate loyal patrons which this was our first stay but we would've likely been back many times in the future, but a family currently enduring a horrific tragedy just has to suck it up and lose their money and a nice weekend away read more

It's pricey but worth it. My girlfriend and I stayed here over night on our way to her hometown in Western PA for Christmas and fell in love with the place. While I'm sure it's nice the rest of the year seeing everything decked out for the holiday was great. The two hosts have done a great job trying to restore and showoff the mansion's historic charm and everything from the pool room to the night cap smoke room was even better than in the pictures. In the morning Mike made fresh scones and served some of the best spinach quiche I've had--the crust, texture, and flavor were all on point. Stayed here in September and liked it so much that my wife and her mother returned this weekend for the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas celebration. Well Tricia and Mike again have made the stay special, with excellent service, food and a beautifully decorated home. I've been told that the afternoon high tea held in conjunction with the Victorian Christmas was wonderful, including the cucumber tea sandwiches shaped like Christmas trees! The mansion is stunning, with incredible woodwork throughout. The decor fits the Victorian nature of the mansion, yet is somehow fresh and almost modern. The property is kept immaculate. The rooms have modern bathrooms and are decorated nicely. Breakfast was great, served in a beautiful room. There is on site massage and spa services available. I've been told that Lisa is great! We're not sure we're going find another B&B that can match up to this one and it's innkeepers. The second visit has confirmed this! read more

I wish I could give bonus stars! We chose this place to stay overnight during a much needed "staycation." I couldn't have imagined a better place to unwind. I believe we stayed in the Woodland room, up on the third floor. The parking was private, free, convenient, and off street. The owners were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We got a mini-tour at check in, and were able to see all the amazing (original) fine details, wood-work, crown molding, stained glass, fireplaces, mirrors, murals, and "nooks" (The Snuggery!). The doors on each guest room each have a keypad to get into, and your key is programmed into the guest door to the mansion (so you can come and go as you please during your stay). On each floor, located close to every room, there is a table with a Keurig, a selection of coffee and tea, cream and sugar, and -big- mugs. There are also refrigerators (tucked in wooden cabinets, they don't look at all out of place) with cold creamer and bottles of water. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated, roomy, comfortable, and just the right temperature. The view was beautiful. There were plenty of outlets, with one on each side of the bed--great for charging phones. Our room had a whirlpool tub by the windows that overlooked the yard (there were blinds, don't worry!) and a shower in the bathroom (which was quite large as well, not what I expected in such an old mansion). The water pressure was amazing, and the temperature was perfect (cold water was cold, and hot water was that near-scalding-but-still-safe, just like I love, and you could get every temp in between). The linens were soft, clean, and downright luxurious. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were just right (I felt like Goldilocks in this place--EVERYTHING was just right, if not better). There were other people staying at the mansion, but the walls must be absolutely soundproof, because we didn't hear a thing all night. Although we weren't up in time for breakfast (I'm a night shifter and breakfast was at 09:00), it smelled amazing, and as we left, the owners offered us pastries to go (we declined, headed for the waffle place in town). A bonus for pet lovers, the owners have two dogs. Their mix was so sweet, quiet, and shy, and their lab is the friendliest, most polite fellow! They didn't bother with us much, and seem to stay in a separate area of the house, but they did come to say hello as we were given the tour. It felt very special to be greeted by the pups. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and likely will plan to visit soon! read more
