Alex was always communicative before, during and after the painting job, which included one side of our house, all the large soffits and trim, as well as porch ceiling. They caulked every nail hole, seam and blemish prior to painting, repaired rotten trim board with properly dryed wood (so it wouldn't shrink in a month) and went out of their way to add some paint to an area I only got one coat on and had needed to get to at no charge. The entire process was transparent and his breakdown of cost for each room and area to paint was awesome, so we could eliminate areas we could get to so we could hire him to do what needed to get done. He was great to work with, clean and thoughtful of everything from spraying bleach around the garden, to covering windows carefully before spraying and even coating an area again after he determined it wasn't up to his standards. Folks like this are truly hard to come by and I cannot recommend him enough. We didn't go with the cheapest quote we received, we went with the one who felt like they cared about us as a customer and who valued their reputation. That's a true, honest business.

He and his crew were excellent at wall repair and I am unable to see where there were flaws that they repaired. Juan especially was an excellent painter and detailer. I would recommend Gaspar Garcia painting for any painting needs.

We hired Performance Painting & Renovations in 2013 to do interior painting and exterior…read morerenovations. We also hired them prior to then to do exterior painting and exterior renovations. To our surprise the paint that Carl, the owner recommended has lasted until now. That's 4 years later. We got multiple estimates of the price to do the work and Performance came in competitively but reasonably lower. Additionally, Performance did work that was needed but not discovered until after the project had begun for which no additional charges were assessed. There was one very minor oversight which I attributed to the employee's miscommunication BUT as soon as it was brought to Carl's attention was promptly corrected. I can't hold that against Performance because I've never hired a perfect contractor and there are no flawless humans, including myself. To me the difference between an average contractor and an excellent one is how they resolve inevitable issues that may arise and Performance get FIVE STARS for that!!! I definitely plan to hire Performance again and highly recommend them. SUGGESTION: I've had greatest success with contractors in general when EVERYTHING I expect to be done is written in detail and mutually agreed upon before the job starts. Carl is a "people" person and easy to talk with. If you do this when you hire Performance you'll be satisfied when the project is complete.

Well one of his employees told me that Carl had specifically instructed him to not ever talk to me but if I ever were to ask how long he'd been with Carl to lie and tell me that he'd been there awhile when it was actually his first day and he had never painted professionally before. As the job wore on and there were mistakes after mistakes, my outlets have a border of old paint, all my switches and stuff have paint on them. They got paint on some tables and furniture. I spoke further with the nice, hopelessly inept man and he told me that Carl meets his employees at gas stations, offers them above average under the table pay as long as they obey his rules, which turn out to be to lie for him. I spoke with a few people that I had heard used him and they all told me that they had learned their entire crew was different than the one I had and we realized he hires for each job without even knowing anything about his employees. They were finished before the timeframe that was given (more on that later) and left. After the job was done is when things took a turn for the worse. Not only did one of their workers KNOWINGLY ( he made a poor attempt of trying to fix it thinking we wouldn't notice) break an expensive custom made blind that they did not tell us about (we were compensated after we pointed this out), we also noticed NUMEROUS places where they allowed the paint to drip down our wall leaving unsightly clumped up paint, improper sanding of the walls that left a very noticeably different look from one place to next and overall shoddy workmanship. We were also left with a huge bulge in one of our main walls from improper sanding and mudding, the Boyfried came back to "correct" this issue along with the paint drips but only made the area WORSE! We came to the conclusion that these individuals were incompetent, this was confirmed after we consulted with other reputable painters in the area (whom we should have hired instead of Valdes). At least three other painting companies were consulted and they all said the work was incredibly substandard and amateurish. One company was appalled they completed the work in such a short amount of time and stated for it to be done properly it would have required at least 3 more days. I regret hiring these people, I have gone back and forth with Jacky attempting to remedy the situation but we got absolutely no where. I paid over 4K for this job and she offered only $500 in return which will not begin to correct the mess they made. I have pictures, videos, text and emails to support everything that is said in this review. Attached are a just a few pictures for reference, trust me I could post many more. I would certainly look elsewhere for your painting needs
