I always receive a printout of the recommended services and how much they will cost. I understand that it is ultimately up to me whether I want to proceed with any treatment, but the constant reminders of the RECOMMENDED work makes me feel pressured, and I don't like that feeling. It also makes me question whether it's all about making money. Going to the dentist already gives me a lot of anxiety, and I'm sure that's the case for many people. At the end of the day, I don't want a doctor who makes me feel like there is always something wrong with my teeth. Throughout my years, I have seen a lot of doctors and none has ever made me feel pressure like Dr. Sato. Maybe it's his personality or how he approaches his patients. My goal in finding a good dentist has always been about finding a great dental hygienist, but this time around I feel like I need to move on and find another doctor who makes me feel more comfortable and at ease. Lately, whenever I get some sort of work done--like a crown, a root canal, or even a simple cleaning--my nerve seems to get triggered and causes pain elsewhere. Rule of thumb: if there is nothing wrong with your tooth and no pain, leave it alone.
