Oof guys, where to start? I called at 10 AM to see if they could fit my daughter and a couple of her friends in for acrylics at 3:30 PM. While the person on the phone was difficult to understand, we finally reached an understanding and she said ok 3:30. My kids show up at 3:30 and are told they do NOT have an appointment and they'll have to wait until 5:30. Pretty annoying but ok, they like the vibe and find something to do while they wait. BUT, here's the bigger problem. The nails look ABSOLUTELY nothing like the inspo photos. Like, remember the lady who "fixed" that old painting in Italy? It was worse. I am so lucky this salon is next door to my house. I've come here around 6-8 times so far, for manicure/pedicure combo. I always seem to get a different nail technician, but all of them have been great. The spa owner named Nim is beautiful inside and out. He remembers my name and always offers a smile and asks about my little baby. The whole team is warm and friendly. You get a really good leg & foot massage with a pedicure here, which is probably my favorite part. The space is super clean, and you are offered a beverage when you arrive, including wine. Can't say enough positive things about Rex, I definitely recommend. read more

I had THE most appalling experience here. I called to make a 4:30 appointment for lashes; the lady I spoke to on the phone acknowledged the appointment. I show up at 4:20 on time and the woman behind the counter was cold, rude and asked me "want do you want?" I told her I had a 4:30 appointment and she said "no." I was confused; I said I called to make an appointment and she said to go wait. I politely wait. Then someone from the nail salon calls me; I pick up and said that I am here. I walk to the front of the salon where the same rude lady looks at me like I don't belong and again asks what I want- I said I had an appointment and someone called me - she said it would be 20 mins rudely. I walked out and said I'd be back in 20 mins; I realized the poor treatment was bias or prejudice because other non POC walked in and got service with a smile. I called to cancel the appointment and said it was because I was treated rudely. She then Texted me harassing texts yelling at me for cancelling. It was disgusting; absolutely appalling and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place; rude and disorganized - disrespectful. I will also be reporting them to the BBB for harassment. read more

I hate to write this review because the people who work here are SO nice. However, I won't be going in again for many reasons, and I advise you skip it as well. -On most visits a tech makes me bleed or causes me paid. I have asked many times for them to be gentle. They use the drill on your nails to cut your cuticles and frequently miss, causing my cuticles to bleed. That drill that makes me bleed is shared between all the technicians and isn't cleaned. Several times drill has become extremely hot on my nail and I have to pull my hand back and say OUCH. -Last visit over the weekend I asked for my acrylics to be removed. After a 2 hour appointment the acrylic is still on my nail. They sent me away with an incomplete service, but were fine taking my money. They're also refusing to give me a refund. -I now have to find a different salon to get the rest of the acrylic off. read more

terrible from start to finish First of all, I have the best nail shop (see review of red carpet nails if you are looking for great service) but i messed up on my appointment and needed to get my nails done before a business trip. I called Rex Spa because it is at the bottom of my complex and looks like a nice place, so I thought I'd give them a chance. Called in and they quoted me $65 for my gel set and they said they could help me out in 10 minutes. So I came in but waited 1 hour before they started on my nails. I should have left then.... I asked for almond shape and he shaped round tips. I tried to let him know the shape was off but he wasn't getting it. Even another nail tech came over and spoke to him in a different language to help. I also showed him pictures. When the shape didn't change, I told him to do stiletto to try to make it less round. I literally had to coach him play by play how to shape my nails even after explaining what I wanted. This process took forever! I was in the chair for over 2 hours (after waiting 1 hour) and I did not get any special art. When we finished, he took pictures, walked me to the register and charged me $90!! Remember I was quoted $65? To top everything off, my nails were popping off 4 days later- what a waste of my money and my time! The shop is decorated nice and looks pretty fancy but the quality and service does not match. They also had spa/elevator music blaring so loud, two clients even made comments as they were being serviced. Last but not least, the whole shop did not abide by Oregon's nail kit rules. I even had my own that I brought and I gave to him before starting and he still didn't use it. I watched several people being helped as I was in the chair and none of the nail techs used personal nail kits, they pulled their own supplies from their desks, not sanitary! read more

Don't like leaving bad reviews but my experience here was not very good. I got gel nails and 24 hours later they are already peeling. Additionally, the salon was not very well cleaned and the person doing my nails seemed extremely rushed. My cuticle was cut too deep and started bleeding which is fine, but the cleanup process was not very sanitary. Additionally, my finger is still extremely sore as they went over it with the gel polish (did not clean it well before using product and then doing the rest of nails) and it is still stinging. Would not recommend coming here with how many nail salons there are in the area. read more

I called ahead to see if I can get a pedicure on a Tuesday afternoon & they were able to take me in without a wait! Most gentle and calming pedicure I've ever had. Pham, (I'm so sorry if I'm spelling your name wrong!!) did my nails and he took his time to make sure they were done right. When I first sat down, he made sure the water was a good temperature. I asked him if he could remove my ingrowns, and I'm always scared when I ask techs to remove them because sometimes they're rough and it hurts, but with Pham I didn't feel a thing!!! Good customer service, but no skill... no skills for neither polishing nor cuticle. They seriously need to hire the person who has skill. Next day morning, the area trimmed cuticle inflammed and it's very sore and hurting pain(See picture of my fingers; red inflammed on cuticle). Cute salon on the south waterfront. Mediocre work with gentleman who did my nails. He was very nice, that's about it. I was charged 90 dollars for a fill and 1 color (110 after tip). Never have I ever paid that at any salon my entire life. Full set, ombré with glitter tips which is what I always get, run me typically between 75 - 120 tops for long nails...but I didn't get full set I got a fill and the quality of work was unfortunately not up to par as it should be especially being a higher end salon on the south waterfront surrounded by wealth and money. He made my nails too thick. One of the nails are bumpy not smooth, with a few imperfections. Burned my nail bed with the drill drilling too much in the same spot. The lady next to me was offered water and/or wine, I was offered nothing. The other lady sitting in the other direction from me was making fun of me having longer nails; I don't think she was aware she was being loud enough I could hear her. I just moved to the neighborhood and was hoping this would be my new nail spot. I still left a 20 dollar tip because I'm a nice person. It is so hard to find a nail salon that doesn't rip you off, gives great service, and offers quality work. The aesthetic of the salon itself gets 4.7/5. read more

I've tried this place a couple of times now because it's so convenient for me, but both times the acrylic has been too thick and leaves a huge gap in between my natural nail and the extension. Last time one of my nails came off the following day and this time, rather than getting an additional nail in the correct size from the back after the box ran out, my nail tech just gave one of my fingers a size too small. I got a gel pedi/ dip acrylic full set and it came out great. I went back few days later to get lashes done after I found out they provided this service also. The woman who did my lashes (Mary I think her male is) was wonderful. I asked for cat eye and that's what she gave me, however the next day I realized this was the completely wrong shape for my eyes and sheepishly requested a "quick touch up" - Mary basically redid half of my lashes no questions asked and was so friendly and accommodating, she didn't ask me for more money either. I had to end my service when I noticed the gentleman doing my nails was new at it, no hate there gotta learn some way. I got a deluxe pedicure and dip nail manicure: I thought Oregon u had to bring your own supplies, (mail kit) they used old and used supplies on everyone. pedi was ok but the tech cut the crap outta my big toe cuticle, she didn't say anything she just applied that green solution to stop the bleeding. It hurt really bad!! Tech didn't cut nail I said I wasn't round and she gave me square toes. Not what I wanted. Now to my manicure, I was talked in to dip nail manicure, so I did. Was not impressed, didn't get any type of massage or really any nail care bc my nails where already shaped. Best mani pedi experience. I made an appointment, arrived a few minutes early, and was seated right away. The man helping prep my area was so kind - checking to make sure the temp was right, I was comfortable, and felt good about my color choices. He started my pedicure and as soon as the person who I was scheduled with was available, they switched. Let me start off by saying this place is hands down the most beautiful nail salon. The ambience is relaxing and calming. I have been here several times and have gotten to know their process well. By process I mean the way they rush to fit in other clients that just walk in, versus taking the time to make sure my nails are perfect. Every time I had gone I sacrificed having my nails perfect for the environment and the glamorous feel of the salon. Yesterday I went in for my appointment with an idea in mind (an idea that I had tried to achieve at 3 other places, and were no success) and the man working got excited and said "yes... of course... I can do that!". Safe to say I was very hopeful. I had long beautiful natural nails and he decided the only way to achieve the look was to put on acrylic type powder. I was hesitant but I allowed it. He didn't even prep my nails before he started putting on the powder, immediately I looked at an employee who was staring and I said "he doesn't have it, does he?" and both insisted "oh it'll be fine we file down and blend". He started to file and attempted to blend but it got worse and worse. He obviously had no idea what he was doing and he ruined my nails. He tried to redo them 3 times and each time they looked worse and worse. I have never been more embarrassed of my nails as I am now. The worst part is he only offered 10 dollars off!!!!! What a f***ing insult! It needed to be free so instead of me paying 50$ I told him I'll pay 20, (which was way too much in the first place). The first two photos are after an hour of adding powder and grinding away, and he was going to let me leave like that. The second two are what he did after the third attempt and I was so fed up and I had to leave bc it had been 2 hours and I didn't even have time to get my feet done like I had requested. Worst fullset I've ever received. The place is beautiful but not worth it. The man who did mine was sooo nice so I didn't want to write a review, I feel badly but I have been getting my nails done for years and never experienced something so badly. First, my appt was at 4:30 and they took me back at 4:55. I left at 6:30!!!!! I also asked for a brow waxing and didn't get that nor did I want to wait any longer. The man was the only one answering the phones and front door and there were at least 6 other employees there some with no guests. At one point he left for 10 min to help a girl find the store - he walked outside. Bless his heart for helping but come on, you have a guest and there are other employees that should be able to help. I absolutely love the color of my nails but it's hard to even look down at my nails. Photos don't do justice. I also have crooked fingers apparently, which I've never had before .... All the nails lean to one side. He also said I had really dry cuticles, which I've also never been told. He explained that's why we had 4 out of 10 fingers bleeding by the end. First and last visit: I called ahead for a pedicure (I live above Rex and thought it would be convenient) and the man who answered the phone told me to come in at 2:30. I show up at 2:30. The lady at the front asks me what I am here for - I said "I have a pedicure at 2:30, for Emily". She tells me to put my name on the sign up sheet and sit down. I ask here where to sit down because there are roughly 10 open seats - she tells me "at the end". I sit there for TWENTY MINUTES - not a single person acknowledges my existence, turns the water on for my pedicure, let alone tell me how long the wait is. After wasting 20 minutes and figuring I could go to the nail salon that I usually go to, but is 10 minutes further, I start putting my shoes back on. The nail techs start chattering amongst each other. The man at the manicure station looks at me really upset and asks me what I am doing and if I had an appointment. Again, I said "Yes I had an appointment for 2:30 and I've waited 20 minutes and no one has helped me so I am going to head out". Both the man and the woman I first spoke with just said "sorry" as I turned around and walked out. Safe to say this will be my first and last time here and I do not recommend this spot to anyone.
