I was about to leave for a three week work trip around Africa and was terrified of how the pain was going to affect my ability to perform on the trip. A friend who knew of David's reputation for successfully rehabbing injuries suggested I give him a try, and I made an appointment no questions asked. I didn't even know what Hellerwork or Rolfing were, I just showed up. My first 90 minute session was calming and inspiring. It also turned out to be extremely corrective -- I flew to Africa a few days later and through three weeks of long hours climbing, hiking, hanging out of Jeeps, camping, running, and carrying heavy equipment I felt no pain whatsoever. I was blown away. I finished the 11-session series and it was the backbone of my physical, mental, and emotional recovery from my accident. At the conclusion I was not only pain-free but felt lighter somehow, and my understanding of my body and mind were fundamentally changed. David is a gifted bodyworker and one of the most intuitive and compassionate people I've met. I continue to see him in the wake of injuries and during especially stressful times, and I've referred half a dozen friends and acquaintances as well. It's telling that they have all had similarly glowing reviews, regardless of their reasons for going or their personality types. David will meet you, wherever you are and whoever you are, and give you the care you need and deserve.

I am a dancer and do yoga and thought that was enough, but then kept having persistent sore irritated muscles I could not "fix" on my own. I found out about Dr. Max from a Health and Wellness fair and had a free massage that was SO helpful, that I decided to go in for an office visit. It was amazing!! First, the office is brand new and clean and the staff is super nice. Dr. Max is an expert at adjustments (or there are other methods to correct you as well if you don't like adjustments), and the medical massage after makes you feel AMAZING. I've also done some PT work there, and they have been super helpful for exercises and stretches I do on my own that keep me feeling good. I can honestly say I feel 100% fixed as the left side of my neck and lower back were constantly irritating me, and now that pain is totally gone. I go back for "tune-ups" whenever I can fit it in for preventative care as a dancer so that I do not get injured. He and his whole team are extremely experienced and can help with anything or just help to relax you. At my office job, literally half of my coworkers now see Dr. Max as well as we all love him!! I can't recommend him highly enough. Just GO. You will not regret it, I promise. It's funny, we will joke at work about who is seeing Dr. Max that day as we are all hooked, and we yell at those who have not gone in yet. He is covered by insurance so it's ridiculous to not go! I should add that I've seen a couple of other chiropractors in the past, and it was not the same and had been a waste of my time. I would get adjusted and feel good for 10 minutes and then it didn't last. With Dr. Max, it is the opposite! I literally can feel good for weeks. He's amazing. One more thing!! They are very flexible with scheduling, which I really appreciate as my life is so crazy. His score: A++++

My first two sessions ever have been with Ms. Barbato. During the first one, we discussed my interest in targeting my mid-back pain, instability and buckling behind my left knee and sugar addiction. She also dug further into some of my background. As I write this, it is nearly three weeks since the first session, and the results have blown me away. I have had no urge whatsoever for ice cream, cookies or donuts. I've had that habit for years. It's my go to snack for stress, insomnia, something on the way home from late nights out, etc. Since my first acupuncture session... nothing. No urge whatsoever. It is odd and surreal and quite awesome. I've already dropped five pounds. And, on top of that, the instability in the back of my left knee that had been there for some time is also gone. I can do squats and lunges and front push kicks again without that sharp, painful, buckling feeling. During the second session, I mentioned problems with the fronts of both knees, and I've been blessed again as both knees have improved considerably since that session. Just amazing. I am a believer now and have been urging any friends I have with lingering issues, or an interest in avoiding added sugar, to give acupuncture a shot. There are no promises, of course, that their results will be as amazing and mind blowing as mine have for me, but if you're wondering about it or on the fence, I urge you to give it a shot. And if you're going to give it a shot, I will recommend Ms. Barbato and Mark Thompson Acutherapy with enthusiasm. She knows her stuff and communicated it to me well, answering all of my questions clearly. I feel very grateful and lucky to have met her.

I had had this for two years, with limited success from physical therapy, cortisone injections and then finally cervical epidural injections in my neck. I was told surgery was my only option. As a last gasp measure, I took the advice of my physical therapist and went to see Mark T. As a physical therapist and licensed acupuncturist, Mark has extensive knowledge of the interconnections between muscles, nerves, fascia and tendons. His primary focus for treatment is dry needling, which targets "trigger points", although he uses other methodologies as needed. All I can say is my chronic problem went away. The severe shoulder pain went away first and in a few weeks, the tingling vanished. I regained most of my strength that I had lost in my shoulder. It has been a couple of years now. I continues to use this group for other issues and have also had success. So yes, I highly recommend them.
