Yes folks Bavaria is wonderful but you have to do your shopping before 8pm monday to a saturday - so finding this heaven at the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) has saved many a life, relationship, date and party. It might in some areas be a little pricier, less choice but meets most basic and emergency needs - hence the 5* rating. Got an excellent cold room full of beer. Spirits are behind the cash desks. Queues can be long especially weekends - Sunday evening when everyone is arriving or coming back home is a chore. But thank you for small inconveniences.

Today as I was looking for some snacks to take home realized there was an Edeka at OEZ and decided to drop in. I always thought it was a flower shop and to my surprise its a huge supermarket that has good stuff at a reasonable price. They have tons of isles of all sorts of groceries, snacks, prepared and cold food, fresh fruit and vegetables and a bakery. Their stuff looks great and one of the few shops I have seen that carry nice snack items from around the place and a nice selection of biscuits. Must come back and walk the isles a bit more and see what else they have. As we do not an Edeka in our area it is nice to know that there is one close to my office in case I need some different stuff to Rewe or Lidl or Netto :-)) prices are reasonable here and the line was a bit big but moved quickly :-)

There are about three Rewe's within a km of our place and this happens to be one of them. It is…read morelocated at a junction and opposite a Müller (Big Pharmacy like Boots) and Basic an organic supermarket. So in terms of location - perfect as you can do most grocery and household shopping within 100m of this place. The selection here is ok and the staff can be friendly depending on the day or the week. On weekends you can forget about service ;-)) I rarely buy fresh produce or meat at this, or any other supermarket as, I prefer to do those at the markets and local shops. If you want reasonably priced things for your kitchen & cooking this is a good choice.
