The hotel breakfast was very expensive, so I purchased a cold coffee, yogurt with granola, a banana, and a chocolate filled croissant for my breakfast for $2 American. What a deal! This particular Aldi is very busy, and the staff seems to have a hard time replacing and reshelving items that customers have disorganized, particularly in the non-foods aisle. I did not really have much interaction with the cashier because I do not speak German, but she seemed to be a bit impatient with the customers ahead of me, and with my husband, who was unfamiliar with the German credit card card insertion. She kind of grabbed the card from him and did it herself. Overall, though, we were pleased with the prices and our tasty breakfasts.

I so wish we had wandered in here several days ago!…read more Found this spot in the subway underground annex area just beside our hotel in Munich and loved the recycling stations for plastic bottles (where you are printed a receipt to take and get your credit), fresh fruits, delicious snacks, and cheap bottled water and soda and juice! We spent a fortune on drinks while here and next time will search for an HIT to stock up! They had loads of teas, muesli, snacks and other items and were well-stocked. We were impressed with the grab and so sushi section as well.

The produce looked pretty good and I ended up getting some blackberries for about 3€. They do have a bakery section if you need to grab breakfast for the day. Wonderful selection of candy and drinks. Get all of your Haribo candies here. It's best if you bring your own bag if you plan to buy many things as they charge for bags here and it's good to be environmentally conscious anyway.

So in terms of location - perfect as you can do most grocery and household shopping within 100m of this place. The selection here is ok and the staff can be friendly depending on the day or the week. On weekends you can forget about service ;-)) I rarely buy fresh produce or meat at this, or any other supermarket as, I prefer to do those at the markets and local shops. If you want reasonably priced things for your kitchen & cooking this is a good choice.

So I was not prepared for how good their pistachio croissant is here that came highly recommended by my friend. The accompanying Earl Grey tea was as expected, but that buttery flaky layers croissant suddenly exploded with that pistachio filling. It's not too sweet and it floods your palate with a baked goodness for which I was not prepared. The Earl Grey was the perfect accompaniment. Simple and good. 3.8 stars!

Service was very fast and super friendly, and the atmosphere is (in a good way) like being in a giant Italian Whole Foods.
