It's a Netto so pretty well a no frills supermarket. Don't expect great service but its always busy specially in the evening. It's convenient for me so I go there when I am lazy and don't feel like walking ;-) read more

I was surprised by some of the nicer items they carried. For example, they carried nicer quality souvenir magnets for one Euro... the exact ones sold for 5 Euros in other souvenir stores! If you have little patience, this is not the store for you. It is small with lots of customers and only one cashier. I still had fun checking it out, though!

But it's pretty expensive, so not every day. The grocery store Edeka is currently renovating, but not to far from there is a Lidl where you can get your groceries. Anyway, the mall is very selective with its lots of shops, which is perfect for meeting friends for a shopping day, e.g. DM, Pommes Freunde, Döner, H&M and more. Their service is great, they are very helpful, very pleasant visit every time.

Shopping here is very much a treasure hunt to find good deals so you will need to be patient. That said, I didn't really like the product selection nor did I like the pricing. Felt like I could get better deals back in the US. If you have the time to search and can deal with crowds, you may come up with something here but I would rather sightsee or eat and drink than spend time looking for an elusive find.

I started taking up knitting/crocheting a while ago and have found the the Karstat at the OEZ has a really good selection of yarn, knitting, and crocheting items. Good place to get yarn and stuff for craft projects :).
