Their response time is dismal and their "answering service" is horrible. Finally when they did come out they suggested pruning and the sales representative (William) discussed trimming any branches (no matter how high) so that there were no branches over our roof. He sent through the proposal and we signed. Then when the team came (several weeks later with only 1 day notice) they were very unprofessional. They asked my husband to sign their sheet before the job was complete and then didn't remove the high branches. I called back 3 times and finally got in touch with William. He was not apologetic and said that I had misunderstood him. Jim, a foreman, came back to the house to discuss it with me and he was very kind and promised they would resolve the issue. When they came back I wasn't home and they did cut off a few of the higher branches but I still don't feel that it was worth the price or what William had promised me in the initial discussion. At this point there was nothing to do but pay the invoice which I did. I will never use them again. The whole experience was a mess.

The day of they sent ANOTHER reminder - this time it was a text to my cell phone. I do not live at property and drove there to meet them. I was early and waited 25 minutes beyond the time for them. I was resigned to cutting the tree down myself, when the Great Oaks flyer landed in my mailbox. I gave them a call; their staff was friendly and courteous, and their rep showed up to look at the issue promptly and on schedule. Their quote was half what the other guys wanted. The day of the removal they showed up bang on time with lots of equipment and a really professional crew who had this down to a science. The guy who climbed the tree had mad skills; the rest of the crew acted like a well-oiled machine, directing traffic, clearing branches, moving equipment around. It is a real joy to watch professionals at work. They had the project done very quickly, and absolutely earned their keep. I'd recommend them to anyone.
