It's basically a used clothing store, with a few accessories and jewelry thrown in for good measure. I didn't see any artwork on my brief jaunt through, but the lady behind the counter seemed friendly enough and the place was obviously well maintained. read more

I love consignment clothes. It is true it is a bit pricey for what they offer but I have also purchased jeans for 5$-10$. They could use a bit more items that are "hip" and bring prices down a tad but really, one great find and it is all worth it! The other store in Belmont Center has a bigger selection but is even more expensive. Again, I found a fabulous dress recently in the Center store with a few other pieces. The dress was $400 (tags on it) to $75. So- as usual, hit or miss. I wore the dress and it was a lovely score for a gala event. Bring a bit more of your goods to Cushing Sq, you will get the people to come! read more

Wonderful stores! Wonderful sales personnel - no sales pitch - they let you browse freely. Great atmosphere. Wonderful, quality items for excellent prices - - - not cheap, but way reasonable (when you compare it to the original price for the item) ONLY THING that I could say I'd wish was a bit different, is the way the Cushing Square Store displays purses/pocketbooks. . . A lot of the handbags are on shelves SO HIGH up that you cannot reach them to take them down in order to hold the item and view it up close. - you know, to get a good look at them . . and yes, the staff is VERY helpful and would certainly get them down if you asked, bu I hate to bother them every 2 minutes (Can I see this? Can I see this? Can I see this?) I want to shop and just look at what I want to look at. I don't want to be bothersome to the sales people I have friends who have consigned there whose items are way out of reach and pretty much un-available to the shoppers because the shoppers cannot reach the really high shelves- - - they are not too happy about this and I can't say I blame them. I wouldn't be too happy if I consigned some nice items and then the store didn't display them properly. How do they expect to sell them if people cannot see them or get at them to take down and look at? I know they are tight on space but they need to come up with a new way to display items/purses/handbags. High shelves are not a good idea. The items don't move if you can't see them.. read more

Newton Center....Won't consign here again. I brought in a bunch of items...they took 6, shoved a peice of paper in front of me to sign and said thank you, we'll let you know. I finally just called them, as its been 2 months or so... and she said its your responsibility to call us...if our email went to junk it is your fault. We sold 2 peices she said but your time ran out December 24. I told her I want the rest back and a check. Nothing like making everything seem like it was my fault. I'd rather donate the rest to Big Brother Big Sister. No interest in giving them any cut regardless how small. I think my check is $42? If they sold that Marni sweater, from A. Bilzerian, only a year old, never worn...for some paltry amount...then they shouldn't be in this business. I was told they have 1,000's of consignors so can not follow up. That may be but they don't have 1,000s of sales a day...they could call or follow up the day something is sold. read more

Ok used stuff, nothing great but maybe that's a reflection of Watertown and Belmont in general - pricey mediocrity.

My hairdresser suggested that I check this lovely little consignment shop out. I am so happy that I did. My teenage daughter has "expensive" taste, however, now I can shop trendy styles for her that are well known designer names for much cheaper. I looked at some bags, which were Coach, Michael Kors (etc.) easily bags that are worth hundreds of dollars- for much less! This was a wonderful surprise (so now I can be the hero for my daughter's graduation present without emptying my pockets) . These items are also in very good condition (as good as new!). Such a nice little store in Belmont, and a savior to me in my situation (as we all know how our teens run the show). read more

I popped into Revolve in Belmont Center and was very impressed with the boutique feel of the shop! I love that you can buy designer jeans for just $49.99 and that the store is full of labels that I love. They have beautiful dresses for very reasonable prices and designers for every age - Free People to DVF to Eileen Fisher. I was thrilled to find dresses to wear to a few weddings that were easy on the wallet and I didn't have to leave town to find! Sometimes my closet needs something new and I can count on finding it in Revolve. The only downside to Consignment shopping is that if you love something you might not find your size! The staff is pleasant and helpful so shopping is a nice experience. I recommend this store to family and friends. read more

too much opportunity for being ripped off: I overheard the clerk, claims to "donate out" items the store has accepted, without notice to the owner, if she decides it's damaged. she says she lost consigned items, and isn't responsible for them. So how do we know that she hasn't sold them and just doesn't want to pay the 40% commission? I asked for more info to raise my comfort level, but the clerk was dismissive, kept insisting this is what all the consignment places do. maybe I'm too suspicious, but I wouldn't consign my property for sale there. read more

Belmont location is very nice, spacious, and extremely well-stocked, well-edited, and well-organized. Great finds. They have recently expanded into the adjacent store so now double the size. Convenient location and easy to park (meter parking on street in front or lot at the rear, store has rear entrance as well). read more

Some ok things but pricey and the help is VERY snooty at the Leonard St location. Surprising really. The other store on Common St was not open though I went there to buy something in the window well after they advertised being open. I drove about 25 minutes to get there as the sign said Wed open 10-6. It was 10:45 so I called the Belmont store who told me that this branch is not open on Wednesday and I needed to come back Thursday. Maybe they should change their sign. The person I spoke with was condescending and completely unapologetic that they are not open when they are supposed to be (from their sign not an old expired online post.) Anyway, they sometimes have nice things and I like to support little shops but it's never a very pleasant experience and they could use some people skills. There are many nicer consignment shops. read more

I'm the "older sister" Vanilla P. mentioned; most consignment stores are way too trendy (and size 4) for me, and Revolve is perfect, an unusually good array of quality but not dowdy "wear-to-work" separates and not just play clothes. Combined with the artsy Zia outlet down the street, I may never have to leave the neighborhood to get dressed. read more

Ive been shopping Revolve for many years, mostly Belmont, Lexington and sometimes Winchester if I'm in the area. Ive consigned a few items in Lexington and items sold but one. Recently I decided to consign about 10 items ranging from very high end to mid range designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Theory, etc.. When I entered the store it looked so empty with low quality very used looking items. I asked why is the store so empty, associate replied "it looks empty to you"? Not one should in the store. Anyhow I dropped off and went in again to an empty store with no customers and then again a few days later. I feel the quality of this chain has gone down and they price items based on eBay which is scary because the associates do not take into consideration the condition of the item just what the item looked up is priced at. Overall the quality of this chain has definitely gone down based on my last few shopping trips. Its hasen't been well managed in the last year or so. Its so sad. I will continue to shop here but its not the same. read more

This store is absolutely amazing. Great staff, great prices & amazing selection! Thank you so much for helping me build my professional wardrobe. The styles, brands, and prices are absolutely to die for. You'd never guess it was second hand. I'll be back again & again! If you haven't been yet, you are truly missing out. read more

Hallelujah for the "older" woman finally having some retail options! I am so glad to find a place that has nice, reasonably priced, good quality clothes that fit my 40 years young curves and tastes. Someday the youngins' will understand! read more

Great clothing. They really have all the women's clothing you need, for the price you want. If you want to bring in some of your old clothing, you are welcome to consign old clothing to make a few bucks. I would definitely recommend shopping there especially the week before mothers day. read more

This is a lovely shop, with friendly and helpful owners, who will make suggestions, and know about clothes. The clothes are well organized and the size and format of the store is very manageable. Very interesting mix of merchandise, also. read more

Revolve is a welcome addition to Belmont and the Cushing Square area! They have a great selection of designer women's clothing at affordable prices and the women who run the store are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their inventory is always changing and I love the fact that a portion of their proceeds support local charities. I look forward to making Revolve a regular stop on my travels around town. For those of you out of town, it's definitely worth the visit! read more

My mom recently took me consignment shopping a few weekends ago. She took me to 4 Revolves in one day. I have say that the Leonard St location was by far the best one. Not only was it the friendliest they had the best selection of clothing and I even got my boyfriend a pair of slippers that the nicest women recommended she also kept showing me and my mom lots of other items to keep in mind for next time read more

Great store and very reasonable prices for used clothing in mint condition. I love thrift shops - but a clean, organized, pleasant-smelling consignment boutique is sometimes worth a little extra money, since they've already done the treasure-hunting for you! read more

i already love this place. i went with my mom last week and we both loved it. the owner is lovely, personable and really has a great eye. the store is set up super cute. it looks like a boutique on charles street in boston, not like the "typical" consignment store. i loved that when i was on the fence about something the owner gave me her honest opinion, which resulted in me not buying the item. i will frequent this shop. great job and great addition to the neighborhood. read more
