The waiting room is amazing, relaxing, and has lime infused water, protein snacks, and fruit for you to enjoy while you wait. What do they do here? Well, it's not your typical spa. They actually have a Nurse Practitioner in charge. So the name, MedSpa = medical spa. They are probably the only local spa who offers IV infusions which you normally have to go to Houston for. The Myers infusion is awesome for fibromyalgia, and a shot of glutathione can be added. Some fibromyalgia patients come weekly and have gotten off prescription medications. They also offer cosmetic injectables, body contouring, spider vein treatment, tattoo removal, lash extensions, etc., and they are the only spa to offer the hydrafacial MD treatment. They actually sit and talk to you in depth to determine what is best for you in every aspect. The staff are professional and extremely friendly and attentive. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my spa needs. I suggest you check out their website and see what all they offer!

What started as a new search for a great tattoo artist has grown into a super sweet friendship and a collection of absolutely stunning tattoos, all thanks to Cara. Cara is pure magic!! Not just insanely talented and versatile as an artist but also one of the most kind-hearted, open, and inspiring people I've ever met. I gush about her to friends every opportunity I get because she's just such an amazing person. What I love about her as an artist the most is that she gets excited about every idea I bring in and always helps me turn it into something even more amazing than I imagined. Her eye for detail and ability to work across different tattoo styles is amazing and spending hours with her during each session always flies by not only because I love watching her create, but because it's such a pleasure to be around her and everyone else at the shop. What truly sets Javelina apart from any other shop I've been to is the vibe. Every artist there radiates the same energy and positivity as Cara. From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with genuine smiles, hugs and conversations that feel more like hanging out with good friends than sitting in a shop. It's such a welcoming, uplifting space -- you can just feel the creative energy and kindness flowing through the whole team. Even though I live in Houston, I'm always glad make the drive every time because the experience and the art are so worth it. I eventually want my whole body covered in tattoos by Cara, and we're working on it . And I have my wonderful wife to thank for finding her Instagram all those years ago, she changed my tattoo journey forever. Javelina is more than a tattoo shop, it's a sanctuary for art, connection and good pure energy. I feel so lucky to have found it.

The issue was with the front desk and the lady in charge of billing. They have no clue of what they are doing or they act like it . On the front desk. They charged me a copay that i should not have paid, I asked the lady in charge of billing to please call my insurance to verify as the day before when I went for my appointment they asked me for a copay. I went back to the office with insurance paperwork to show them my coverage she refused to look at it and to call the insurance company. They claim they take a deposit , what the he'll for that has never happens to me before. They kept insisting I have a big deductible when I don't. I just got irritated and cancel all my appointments. They did not seem to care. What has happened to customer service these days. Cant deal with unprofessional people. Will find another doctor.

When I talked to the woman who administered it I told her I did not want to do too much for my first time, and wanted to start with a very low number because I could always add more. She did not tell me how much she was going to do befpre beginning, and ended up doing way more than we discussed. I had a large knot in between my eyes for over a month at one of the injection sites. I was not happy with the fact that they gave me more than I wanted, which made my treatment double the price I intended to pay. I had a large goose egg in between my eyes for almost 2 months so I went to other places for followup treatments. The other places around town were wonderful, they did as much as they said they were going to, and I never had any lumps or problems. I decided to try health & Wellness again today because they had a May special for $10 a unit, and a quick appointment opening. Today I talked with the practitioner and discussed what I wanted, and past problems with the lump. I told her I usually get 11 units because I've never done more than 11 without an issue. I also prefer a more natural look, and know I can always come back for additional injections once I see how the 11 turn out & settle. She began the injections and then told me that she did eight units alone in between my eyebrows, which is where they gave me the lump before. (Other places I have been to and told about the lump I got there stayed away from that area in general, and only spread out 11-12 along the forehead. ) when I went to pay after the appointment I was told that they used 20 units. That is almost double what I told her I would like to get when we discussed what I would like. Out of two visits here I have had two very questionable experiences with this place and left feeling extremely frustrated both times. It is safe to say that I will never return to Health & Wellness. There are many other places in town that I've had great experiences with, and great results. I thought after so many years I would give them another chance, but after today I will never return.
