Horrible. The doctor's order specifies that he needed to start PT immediately after discharge. No one can provide a reason for the cancellations, advising all therapists are independent.

Perhaps Luna is okay for minor injuries or surgical procedures however, they are totally unprepared…read moreand unequipped for major surgery physical therapy. I had a total knee replacement, and the therapist was not equipped with even the basic PT equipment such as step platforms, non-slip pads, folding chairs, foam rollers, etc. The therapy provided for joint replacement was both ineffective and rather dangerous without proper equipment. Case in point, the therapist used a resistance band that was sized wrong and with no padding and I still have an indentation near my ankle from the resistance band digging into my skin after two weeks. That is downright incompetence and malpractice. See photo. My response to Luna's reply.... It wasn't a multitude of sessions at all, and I stopped immediately with my surgeon's permission after your therapist injured my ankle. Also, be careful with what you reveal about my sessions as you are venturing into a public HIPAA violation.

She cares about your whole self, and applies her extensive knowledge, as as well as consulting with other professionals, to your unique needs. I have used her as a doula twice as well as used her for induction massages. Without Carolina I would have never been able to birth my first born vaginally. She was more knowledgeable with what worked for my body than the hospital staff was. My husband now tells every pregnant couple that we know to hire a doula!! I cannot say enough about how vital her presence has been at both of my births. She holds your hands, while also gently motivating you to get the job done! Love her!! Edit: I forgot to mention that my labors were days long, and she was there for the long haul!! Never leaving my side when I needed her.

I was having a scheduled c-section so I didn't think I needed a doula. But with two kids at home…read moreand no family nearby, my obgyn told me it would be smart to have a professional on standby to support me at the hospital. A midwife is a bit overkill for a c-section so I decided on a doula. I asked around and ended up hiring Carolina to assist me as a postpartum doula. Best. Decision. Ever. I went into labor way ahead of schedule. Like months ahead of schedule. It was a completely chaotic and terrifying morning. My husband drove me to the hospital but was stuck outside of the operating room with our two older kids. I was in a panic but suddenly remembered "Duh! You hired a doula!!!" and I called her as I was being wheeled into emergency surgery. Carolina got to the hospital lightning fast and was my patient advocate during surgery recovery until my husband and children were allowed to visit. Obviously the nurses at the hospital are there to assist you, but it made a huge difference having someone who was by my side 100% of the time. Women feel incredibly vulnerable after giving birth, especially a traumatic birth. It's important that you feel protected and supported. And it is even more important that you are able to rest while someone coordinates your care. I was able to SLEEP while she handled getting me a hospital breast pump, scheduling a visit from the lactation consultant, and making sure the staff stayed on top of my pain management. She even brought me a ponytail holder and some essential oils. She made a very difficult day soooooooo much easier. I'm all done having babies but if you plan on reproducing anytime soon, you definitely want this chick at your bedside before, during, and after your birth.
