I should have shopped around and found a different provider .I undoubtedly would have paid thousands of dollars less , my credit would not have been ruined ., and my newly constructed acl would still be in tact . Some of the things I wish I knew before getting my surgery done by this provider are : 1) while HE is in network the OUTPATIENT SURGICAL SUITE (DOCS) is NOT nor is the ANESTHESIOLOGIST he partnered with to do my surgery . To date I have had to pay $1200+ additional because this was not disclosed to me . I also have had a $2000 bill recently go into collections related to the anesthesia I received during my surgery . The anesthesia group ( conservative care ) has horrible reviews as well as the medical debt collection agency they sold my debt off to . 2) while the specific type of acl reconstruction surgery he performed is better than the alternative cadaver graft procedure ...the specific type of surgery he performed has a high retear rate for ( over 60%) for women . I did everything he told me to do and while I was on the east coast recovering my knee gave out and I fell down a flight of stairs . He had told me to stop wearing my brace but if I knew about the high retear rate I would not have . I am now exactly where I was before getting the surgery in terms of having limited mobility and chronic knee pain but the main difference is that I am thousands of dollars poorer and my credit is ruined . As a provider he and his administrative staff should have disclosed to me or at least encouraged me to verify that the entities he partnered with were also in network . He should have also disclosed what the risks were and given me accurate data about possible a retear. Other good providers who really care about their patients would have .

I advised I was pursuing getting to PT and would consider the injection if PT feels pain is causing inability of function. Would recommend this practice. Dr. Michael Yurubi, D.O. Was the treating physician. I had my doubts as he is not an 'MD' and I am old school but he was knowledgeable and had training under the Miami Heat physician. One of the biggest advantages is that they offer physical therapy right in the office, and they began managing our pain immediately. Victor, the technician, was fantastic. However I had a terrible office experience at his Kendall location. The front desk assistants are rude, uneducated, and unwilling to help patients. Particularly, a female assistant ( slender, long dark hair) that always behaves rude, frustrated, and unhappy. She is extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment at 7 am. The office opened at 7:40 am. If you try to call to make an appointment they rarely answer the phone, and if they do they put you on hold forever. In conclusion, such a terrible office experience destroyed the good care quality we had with Dr. Cortes.

A small child stepped right under him during a tumbling pass, and it was either kill her or kill his ACL. So he pulled out of his form and landed on his knee, ripping the ligament apart in the process. Dr. Baraga was able to diagnose, repair, and treat the injury with precision and care. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. In addition, his bedside manner is impeccable. He put us both at ease, which wasn't an easy feat considering our inexperience with hospitals and surgery. All of the staff in the sports medicine and orthopedic surgery offices were just amazing. Most places were overcrowded, with the PT constantly bouncing between patients and rarely giving proper attention. Often, assistants guided the sessions, and I was left on my own without clear direction. That all changed at FOX Physical Therapy. I feel very lucky to have found Braulio, who is by far the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. At first, I was nervous it would be like other facilities, but Braulio explained that he treats a maximum of two patients at a time, and that made all the difference. Braulio is incredibly attentive and present. Even when working with another patient, he is constantly watching me, giving me feedback, correcting movements, and motivating me even from across the gym. He explains exercises clearly, remembers details even months later, and truly knows how to motivate you, especially when you don't feel as strong or in shape as you once were. What really stands out is that he stays focused on the work. There's no wasted time or unnecessary chatting. You can genuinely tell that he cares about your recovery and progress. I could go on with many specific examples, and write an immense review, but the bottom line is that Braulio is a highly skilled, dedicated, and truly caring physical therapist, and I recommend him without hesitation. I am still working with him and have seen amazing improvements. The facility itself is also very clean, well organized, and fully equipped for proper rehabilitation.
