Horrible. My father had surgery (hip replacement) on Tuesday 1/6/26 and was discharged on 1/7/26. He was scheduled for in home PT to begin on 1/8/26 and an email was received that morning rescheduling for 1/11/26 at 1:15 p.m.. 45 minutes prior to that appointment, it was cancelled again and reset for 1/17/25. The doctor's order specifies that he needed to start PT immediately after discharge. No one can provide a reason for the cancellations, advising all therapists are independent. read more

Perhaps Luna is okay for minor injuries or surgical procedures however, they are totally unprepared and unequipped for major surgery physical therapy. I had a total knee replacement, and the therapist was not equipped with even the basic PT equipment such as step platforms, non-slip pads, folding chairs, foam rollers, etc. The therapy provided for joint replacement was both ineffective and rather dangerous without proper equipment. Case in point, the therapist used a resistance band that was sized wrong and with no padding and I still have an indentation near my ankle from the resistance band digging into my skin after two weeks. That is downright incompetence and malpractice. See photo. My response to Luna's reply.... It wasn't a multitude of sessions at all, and I stopped immediately with my surgeon's permission after your therapist injured my ankle. Also, be careful with what you reveal about my sessions as you are venturing into a public HIPAA violation. read more

This company is a joke. I met one of their physical therapist at Hollywood Beach. He explained the in home care and it sounded great. I am having some discomfort in my hips so went to see orthopedic. Recommend PT. So I call the PT I had met, but he was not available at 8am or 4pm and that's the time I was. Luna says they have thousands of PT available from 6:30am- 8:30pm. Not true. So I called Luna and explained. They tell me that the PT I had spoken with had extended his hours and was now available. I told them to please confirm as that's not what he had told me. And if he was not available to set me up with another PT. They said they confirmed and so the appointment was set for 4:30. Afterwards they texted me to remind me of my appointment. And as you guessed, PT was a No Show. Now if I was a No Show or canceled the appointment without notice they would want to charge me $90. So I asked if I would be getting reimbursed the $90 for the PT No Show. Of course they said they don't reimbursed patients. This only works in their favor. One way street. No consequences for them. I guess I'll be going somewhere else. What a waste of time and effort. Good idea. But they are smoking mirrors. read more

My mother contacted the company to schedule PT sessions and had to wait many months before anyone was assigned to her case. The existing roster of therapists either are clearly overbooked/do not want new clients, or Luna is severely understaffed. After months of waiting, a therapist was finally assigned. My mother was happy with the therapist initially, but over time the therapist began to cancel and reschedule, and did so multiple times, and when the therapist did show up, the sessions would only go for 30 minutes versus the 45 minutes that the insurance had approved. There seems to be no oversight once therapists are assigned to clients. Given the numerous times that the therapist cancelled and rescheduled, one would think that Luna management would have proactively stepped in to rectify the issue, but the company never did. The company, in my opinion, needs to do an assessment of how it operates. Until then, I will be looking elsewhere for future sessions for my mom whose recovery is being impacted by the lack of oversight. read more

I called to get physical therapy as there was not a price on the site. It was $125.00 for services for a 45 mins. Session. That was fine, they should list it but... So they said they take insurance or medicare. I gave them my insurance Blue cross blue shield, they said it was out of network, ok medicare part A which mine was for hospital only so that wouldn't work I told them. Then I said I will just pay cash and they refused to take it because I mentioned Medicare????Who doesn't take cash??? Very Disappointing! read more

Stan was my physical therapist and specialized in treating people with vestibular problems. This service is unbelievable. I had no idea something like this existed. After total hip replacement I was supposed to get PT from a company named Parx in Miami who never showed up. I started to worry that my leg was going to be stiff and a week later I still hadn't received any PT. Luckily I looked online and found LUNA not only were they kind and professional they actually set me up with an amazing therapist Elizabeth G. Luna Physical Therapy is great! I recently experienced shoulder pain that was similar to a problem I had several years ago. My goal was to get to physical therapy as soon as possible without going through various gatekeeper doctor appointments (since PT what helped me previously). It was very easy to make the initial contact with Luna, describe my symptoms and have my insurance checked. I was offered an appointment at a convenient time for me within the same week. The therapist was well-qualified and did a thorough evaluation with a comprehensive treatment plan. I am seeing him now twice a week for four weeks. Each visit is with the same therapist who measures my progress and gives me specific, tailored help. I went to an outpatient therapy facility with my prior injury, and Luna is much better since I am getting one-on-one help for the entire session with the same person. It feels like my progress will take half the time due to this arrangement. The app works well, though it is not necessary if clients do not want to use this. Billing is straightforward and there have been no surprises. I am very pleased with the company. read more
