Revivals has been open for around 30 years, almost all of them in the nearby borough of Narberth. They moved this year over to a location in Ardmore. They are known for being an upscale/designer clothing consignment/resale store. If you're looking for $1 blouses this is not your place. I decided to visit after a recent hair appointment. My hair was looking great and I was feeling good. It's down the street from my salon so I thought, why not pop in? First...the door was locked. There were people inside. I think someone pushed a button because they smiled and then the door was open for me. I'm honestly not a big fan of this practice. I understand retail theft and shrinkage and such. It makes me feel like I'm unsafe, though, or that this is a dangerous place, or that I am untrustworthy or suspect. It's a business choice and I respect it. It doesn't endear me though. Ardmore is not a crime-ridden hovel. Anyhow, back to the experience. Understand dear reader that I am a woman of, er, substance. A US size 16-18 gal, which many of us are. When I was permitted to come in, there was very little greeting other than a smile. No "Hello, how are you today" or "What can we help you with?" comments. The associates were busy with another customer, which okay, again I get, but as my visit continued I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being ignored. At first I was fine then I realized that they don't seem to have any garments over a US size 14 to maybe 16, definitely nothing 'plus' sized. Oh. Okay. That's fine, I've been in other high-end consignment stores that don't carry plus sizes. Off to the shoes, where I had a question and could not get anyone's attention, and to the jewelry. By then I gave up on any kind of sales assistance. It's a shame because I saw a pin that I liked, it had no price, so I needed to ask - except they were busy and not making eye contact and ignoring my polite "excuse me". It was about then that I realized they really did not want me as a customer, were not interested in selling me anything. So, I left. Not a 'thanks for coming' or a "please come again soon". The clothing and accessories are lovely, and for what they are they are generally reasonably priced, again, for high end. A $600 dress priced at $300 is a good deal. I think though they decided that I was Not Their Customer. After my experience I would definitely agree with them. read more

Pricey for consignment but good deals can be found! They do tend to charge more for certain items that are maybe not in the greatest shape just because of a designer name, so pay attention to the state a garment is in and don't be dazzled by the name and overpay as I did for one dress that upon closer inspection was a little tattered. I purchased a cashmere scarf sometime ago here the experience was pleasant so I decided to return just to the consignment side the worst decision I ever made!!!! I normally give stuff away bless people!!! so I attempted to consign my husband's Gucci, loafers and python boots. They gave them a very high value. I was excited.!!! Even though I was told they don't sell mens wear ,so I expected them to be in the store for a long time so now it's been close to a year. I decided to give them a call so the loafers were still in the store, then come to find out, the boot sold !!! Really that's interesting. Nobody notified me so they didn't know. I was driving to the store so I arrived. I picked up the loafers so I decided to ask the nervous sales person behind the desk who was shuffling around papers and not looking at me and my face so when did you sell the boots, I'm not sure they've been here for so long really so another sales associate was on the floor. She was curious about our conversation. She said oh yeah those boots been sold so she marched her happy self very helpful to the back office where the owner was hiding and then she came back with a sad face saying you already discuss , what happens next, which was me waiting until July to get the check that it will come out the first of the month so I'm writing this because I haven't received anything yet. giving her a chance to rectify the situation I thought I was dealing with a reputable business , honest business woman instead, she put her employees on the spot and and then I have to call the Better Business Bureau the attorney general and prepaid legal to fight for respect as a consumer, and not to be taken advantage of as a black woman !!!! I have been shopping & consigning at Revivals since they opened. They are always friendly & I was a passed business owner in the mainline area. Love the security because of safety for myself & their high end merchandise. If you go there, its for high end merchandise. There are sales that are incrediible too, if you'd like to wait. read more

it's very pricey to be consignment but there are some nice luxury brand accessories in good condition

This is THE main-line thrift store. If you're tired of browsing through racks of worn out 80's clothing and bad polyester pant suits hoping to find a gem, this is your place. However, it does come at a price higher than you may be used to although the labels and quality of the stuff they carry more than makes up for it. (They do have sale items though, while I was there they had a display of Coach and D&B wallets and bags for 20% off as well as some other deals) They have a whole case full of Hermes, Gucci, and more as well as racks with Prada, Louboutin, Chanel and more. Venture upstairs and you'll find lots of designer jeans (Seven, Rich and Skinny,etc for about $40 a pop) and more. Dressing rooms are located on the second floor to ensure the perfect fit for your new designer duds. I managed to score a great new pair of black knit Seven leggings which were part of their 20% off sale! I'll be back when I have more cash. Their luxury accessories are to die for! read more

I think the merchandise is WAY overpriced in this store. Albeit you will most likely find a nice designer bag. But if you know your prices you will agree that a majority of the USED merchandise they sell is WAY overpriced. And you can definitely get the same stuff cheaper elsewhere. Also, the sales staff is not friendly. They all seemed to have attitudes, and act like you are bothering them if you have a question about merchandise. I like this store for many reasons: the labels, the quality, the owner. The labels can be wonderful I bought a c&c california tee for less than $15 bucks. It was in great shape. Love it. I've found Juicy Couture sweatpants for less than $20 (I'm wearing them now) in perfect condition. And the owner is the nicest, kindest, most helpful shop owner. I rushed in once to grab something sexy to wear to a dinner to meet my man's family. The other times they had met me,I had four kids hanging off of me. I wanted to feel good and look good. Explaining my situation and my lack of major funds, she helped me pick out a few dresses, helped me select one after trying them one, look at shoes, accessories and threw in a handbag at half off. She and I even talked about me being nervous to meet the family. I love that stuff. Go there. Bring some cash. Buy something and feel pretty. And take a few minutes to chat it up too. read more

Pros: Two floors of goodies from designer coats to handbags. Terrific sales and email reminders with coupons. End of season sales are stupendous. Great place to update your suit wardrobe and punch up your accessories. Neat, clean, gorgeous and a few steps away from the train station. If you like to wear designer and are looking for great prices, then this is the place for you. This is a true high-end consignment shop. That being said, if you're a thrift store shopper looking for deals, then you probably won't get much out of Revivals. I do fall into that latter category, so Revivals wasn't really the place for me. They have a great selection of high-end brands - and by high-end, I mean designer labels. Prada, Gucci, Valentino, Longchamp, Marc Jacobs, and more. The cheapest thing that I saw in the store were the jeans, which were all going for around $50. (So, if I'd been looking for jeans, I probably would have tried some on, since I normally get all my jeans at the mall for around that price). However, pretty much everything else I saw was $75+, whether it was shirts, sweaters, shoes, or outerwear. And I saw plenty of things with price tags of $150 and up. So to my point of view, if you're the kind of person who wears designer, you'll probably love Revivals. Or if you're the kind of person who buys most of her stuff at the mall for around that price range, you'll probably relish the opportunity to buy designer goods at the same prices you'd normally pay for a high-street brand. For me, it was an interesting excursion, but I wouldn't be a regular. I shop more for individual item than for a specific brand, so if I find a designer item for $5 that suits me while digging through racks at the Salvation Army, awesome, but if not, I'll probably pick up a J.Crew shirt for that price instead. read more

As already noted, this store sells $500 items for $250, which is a great deal if you can afford that. When I have found things on the less expensive side, they seem only to have sizes 0-4. Sadly, not me. read more

Although I was impressed with the luxury items in the store the service was not so friendly. The owner barely acknowledged my existence let alone said hello. I felt some items in the store were over priced. I frequent many other thrifts shops on the Main lIne and can definitely find Splendid, Michael Stars, ect. in great shape for less than half of what Revivals sells them for. Plus many different brands of premium denim for a a lot less. If I was looking for an item more high end I would definitely have gone here, however with such unfriendly service I will take my money elsewhere. read more

This is the best consignment shop. Ever. As someone who thifts at Beacon's Closet and Buffalo Exchange in the Williamsberg section of Brooklyn, I almost passed out when I discovered this shop in a place called, "Narberth", in Pennsylvania. First off, the town is super charming: authentic cheese shop, friendly dry cleaner and delicious pub food. Now- back to the shop- the staff and owner are honest and friendly. The place is a gold mine. I scored a Burberry trench coat with fur collar for $150 bucks and a Catherine Malandrino sweater dress for $50. What? I'm not done. I also got an Alice and Olivia sweater for $27 because there was a small hole in the sleeve, the sales assistant was happy to reduce the price. They've got genuine Chanel, Gucci, Coach and more. Revivals is the place to go for top of the line authentic premium designers such as : chanel, gucci, prada fendi, miu miu , ysl. They also carry a nice selection of furs ( nothing less then 900$) and there jean selection is reasonable 25-40$$ for seven jeans ,true religions,prada etc. their shoe selection is small but reasonable for the items . The reason why i didnt give this place 5 stars because somethings such as their handbags i felt were overpriced given that they are used but only priced 20$ less then the original price ... Overall if your looking for authentic designer jeans and shoes this place is worth the trip ;) read more

Revivals is a gem!! I love this place. This little shop is packed with fantastic merchandise at amazing prices in great condition. I am always amazed with the things I find here. I live in New York and every time I come to Pennsylvania to visit my mom, this shop is a must have stop on my visit. Besides being genuinely sweet, the owner Robin has an amazing taste level and a critical eye. She carries brands such as James Perse, J Brand Jeans, Alice and Oliva, Theory, Gucci, Prada, Chanel, and Dolce & Gabanna. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I had a positive learning experience with Revivals and dealt with the owner Robin several times. All and all I think it is a top run operation with quality merchandise, a sale room, an internet site, and professional staff that are doing the best they can do to make everyone feel glamorous and special!!! Isn't that what all women want when we go shopping? I agree with the comments about how rude they are here. I came in off the street to show them a picture from my phone of an evening gown I wanted to consign. The woman came out from the back, not the owner, and told me they don't sell evening gowns. I know that they do because I've been there many times and seen them upstairs. I called her on it and then she has the nerve to say to me this dress would not be for their clientele. Could they look down on you anymore? I have heard from other people they buy fake bags in NY and sell them as real. It's a shame how people who think they're so high and mighty can look down on other people. The owner is a fraud! She knowingly sells fake merchandise such as Burberry and Hermes and when confronted with the illegitimate item, she will refuse to take it back. They are way overpriced and they rip off their consignors!! There are much better places - espeicially ebay! read more

I was a little hesitant to stop by here, given some of the negative reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I visited Revivals on Black Friday to see what their sale offers were like. I'm a huge fan of particular brands (Rick Owens, Ann D, Damir Doma, Theory, and other minimalist collections, etc.) and second-hand sustainable buying, so I was curious to see what the stock at Revivals was like. Their selection is simply beautiful. Everything was quality, cleaned, and well-priced. Obviously you're not going to get Chanel for Goodwill prices; that's not the service Revivals offers. But if you want a selection of well-curated pieces in great shape, this is the place for you. I tried on a good 15 pieces, although sadly none of them worked for me. The staff was friendly, helpful, and just overall kind. I saw them assisting some customers in a very hands on way, while leaving others (like me) who preferred to be more independent alone. I live very close to Revivals in Narberth and have visited 5-6 times. While I am impressed by their offerings/deals, which is why I continue to return, the service leaves a very bad taste. The employees (mostly middle-aged women) consistently have a holier-than-you attitude and never greet you. I particularly remember one time when trying on a Tory Burch shirt, which was unfortunately too small. Upon hearing that I would not purchase it because of the size, one of the employees suggested that I lose some weight and return later for the shirt (PS-I'm 5'2" at 110).
