Leslie is the best! She is super sweet and friendly, and has amazing ideas on what will make your ceremony extra special and unique. I have difficulties with officiants who would only do religious ceremonies, but she was totally accommodating to my more "spiritual," non religious beliefs and found a way to incorporate those in. She made everything so easy, not just with all of the details of the ceremony but also with taking care of the marriage license. Reverend Leslie is the best officiant we could have chosen for our wedding. She was very accommodating and has a knack for sensing her clients' needs. From our very first meeting, Leslie was attuned to our desires and suggestions, but she also came prepared with a plethora of ideas. Leslie is about as experienced as you can get, with ideas from all cultures, tribes and peoples. She has had many, many ceremonies and weddings under her belt, but it never once felt recited, or forced. She personalized our ceremony to make it feel like it was really tailored to us. Leslie was the officiant at our wedding in August and we loved her. Leslie was such a pleasure to work with and was so helpful in not only planning our wedding but helping us with all those other details that come along with wedding planning. Two years after our wedding, we still think all the time about how lucky we were to find Leslie. We spoke with many, many officiants--all much more expensive--and we just weren't impressed by anyone. We were just about to give up when we found Leslie, and it turned out that she was heaven-sent! We loved so many things about our wedding but, truly, SHE made the whole thing as special as it was. Her warmth, humor, intelligence and--yes, sentimentality--made our service so memorable. We were so impressed when we met with her to help us plan our service; we truly felt there was nothing she wouldn't have done to make our day unique and thrilling, and she absolutely listened to us and heard what we wanted. She went back and forth with us a number of times, offering to meet or discuss as often as needed. Our marriage was interfaith, and she turned what could have been a difficulty into a very special melding of cultures and faiths. Leslie made our wedding perfect. We never met face-to-face until the big day, since I am in San Francisco and she is located in Southern California, but we communicated constantly by phone and email to build a ceremony that was uniquely us and still included the traditions of our respective families (mine Protestant, his Jewish). Everything time I thought something was an emergency, Leslie knew exactly how to handle it with a grace and aplomb you rarely find these days. She was invaluable not just for the ceremony, but for helping me work with my family and smooth ruffled feathers. I really recommend Rev. Leslie to anyone that is looking for an officiant for marriage. She is very enthusiastic and really keeps the "wedding spirit" going! One thing I would truly like to highlight about her is that she is not at all pushy, very respectful about what we wanted in our wedding, which was not really traditional (we got married at the Cheesecake Factory for everyone to have an idea), so it was wonderful to not have her insisting on things we really didnt want to do. Another plus was that she performed the ceremony in Spanish, which was ideal because a lot of our family members live abroad and were watching the ceremony by Skype, so they could also understand. She also gave us some great ideas for the ceremony. She let us take our time to decide things and she also checked up and called before the big day to see if we were ok and were thinking of adding/changing anything for the ceremony. She has a nice voice, so its nice to hear her speak, and we thought she had a nice way of saying the things she said, as well as a lovely message. Pricewise, I think she is very agreeable for what she does. Ive seen more expensive, but after having our ceremony officated by Leslie we really are glad we went for her and not for anyone pricier. When it came to picking an officiant we couldn't have done better than Rev. Leslie Bockian. From our first meeting we absolutely adored her. Very personable, very warm and obviously enjoys what she does and it shows. At our first meeting we were there for two hours and it seem to fly by. We chatted it up like we were old friends. She had performed several weddings at our venue, and she shared some humorous stories about those weddings. She gave us a lot of materials to read over which helped us prepare for the most meaningful ceremony. It was important that our ceremony be meaningful but not lengthy. She took all of that into account. We are a very nontraditional couple and we wanted our ceremony to reflect that. And it did. She gave us guidance on all our out of the ordinary requests for our ceremony. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful and touching it all was. My husband and I have Leslie to to thank for it. Bonding with an officiant is very important aspect of planning a wedding. And having worked with such wonderful woman my husband and I can say because of our bond to Leslie we had the best wedding ever. We can't thank her enough. Leslie is a true gem! She was the officiant for my friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid in and I absolutely sold with Leslie when I watched her marry my friends. When we met with Leslie one-on-one to go over details and how everything was going to work, she made us feel so comfortable - it felt as if a family member or good friend was marrying us. We had Leslie perform our ceremony in September and I have to say she did a fantastic job! When we first met with Leslie my husband and I knew right away that she was the one that we wanted to perform our ceremony. She made sure that what we wanted for our ceremony was what we got. She has a very calm demeanor and voice and instantly puts you at ease. After meeting with us, Leslie sent us all of the verses for us to look over and decide which ones we wanted. We loved that we didn't feel rushed or pressured to have them picked out right away. Leslie stayed in contact with us right up until the day before our wedding. She then called just to check in and see how we were doing and if there was anything that we wanted to add or delete from the ceremony. On the day of our wedding Leslie showed up early, made sure that she found me to let me know that she was there and to take possession of the marriage license so that I no longer had to worry about it! At the ceremony Leslie spoke as if she truly knew my husband and I and made sure that it felt personal. After our wedding Leslie emailed me to let me know that she had sent off our marriage license. She is wonderful and I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone that is looking for a caring, devoted, helpful and professional to perform their wedding ceremony! read more
