I joined ACF at the height of the pandemic in 2020. All gyms had closed and I desperately needed to…read morerelease my stress since I'm in healthcare and never stopped working during the lockdown. ACF had outdoor workouts that really kicked your butt and followed the COVID guidelines. My biggest concern was walking into a gym and being shamed for not doing the workout correctly. I remember having to do handstand push up and making a complete fool out of myself because I would fall with each attempt. Thankfully, the community and environment Karlos, John, and all the ACF coches have built made me get back up each time and try again and even modifying the workouts to strengthen the muscles to get to specific movements. ACF isn't just a gym, but my safe haven. There are days where I feel defeated and don't want to workout, but once I'm there, I feel great and happy I made it in. Also, I NEVER saw myself in spartan races. I'm in awe that I'll be completing my second run with ACF members in just a few weeks.
