I almost never leave reviews but I had to for this place...This place is great, as are the people that work here. For reference I've been to many retro gaming places, this is the first place I see that actually inspects and makes sure what they give their customers work! For instance, they have a machine that polishes CDs that I've never even seen before. It's awesome. I originally came here to get a GameCube fixed, (I had it in storage for about 20+ years) and the owner here fixed it up ASAP! They have great games, and in my opinion - great prices. They also have controllers, accessories, really whatever you need!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone, and in the area it's in - you can def go grab some old school stuff and explore the area!! I'm def coming back here for more soon!! read more

Overpriced and unprofessional I've been here three times and have left disappointed and empty-handed on all three occasions. These guys up-charge like crazy (ex. Charging $90 for a game trending around $60) and have even changed the price of a game I was about to purchase (ex. Front desk worker told me X price, he goes to the back, and he comes back telling me the price is XX instead because the "boss" or whatever said so). They're even doing a Black Friday sale where you still end up paying more than the current value of the game you're interested in. Additionally, they changed locations and don't even bother to update it on Apple Maps, Yelp, wherever (They've been in at the new location since the summer at least). Every time I'm there they always happen to be eating and they're smacking their lips on wings while answer questions too. Only positive is that the selection is massive. You'll find all the games you want on your wishlists, but it's unfortunate that this is the only retro video game store in Westchester. Tip: while you're walking around the store and looking at prices, use https://www.pricecharting.com/ to check the current trending price of the games you're buying and you'll see for yourself that you're getting overcharged. At first glance the establishment looked promising enough to bring in a PS5 for repairs for the system shutting down on its own. With their vast inventory and knowledge of the issue, I felt confident the establishment would correct the issue with professionalism and expertise but what was encouraging and promising soon turned to be the complete opposite. At first, a promise of a repair (thorough cleaning) would be done within 1-2 days took 1 week, which is fine if the work was done properly. As the pictures I included show when I picked the system it was nearly dirty as when it was brought in for the cleaning/repair. When I questioned the clerk he called his boss/owner who quickly became combative and annoyed with the claim that work was not fully done. His response was "that the inside of the system was clean and that the fan and outside panel dust would not affect the work and its not suppose to look like it came from Sony" so whats the point of paying hard earn money if work thats promised and request is not met as promised. Without hesitation I payed the said price and took my item, and actually did the cleaning that should have been done in the first place to avoid an unnecessary confrontation over a few dollars, with a rude and with out a valid point business owner. Gigantic collection of consoles, games, and accessories. I wish I could buy everything. There's no sign out front, so it's easy to miss if you're not in the know. I mainly come here for PS3 and PSP accessories, but they have current-gen hardware and software as well. From my experience, they do not offer PSN gift cards or controller repairs, and they'll deny trades for some things in low demand. They often can't beat corpo prices either, but bear in mind that you're not getting billed $120 a year for Amazon Prime or getting your mailbox stuffed with Game Informer or predatory ads. I wish we had more specialty stores like this in the area. read more

Overpriced used games, marked up by $30 to $40 at times, and purposely do not put price labels on games so they can search the most expensive sold on eBay and use that as bases price. Do not give them your money. read more

I really WANT to like this business, it seems like a very cool place and a great alternative to chains like GameStop. I love their enormous retro selection and could imagine myself spending a lot of time/money here. It takes a lot for me to give a store a bad review, but health & safety violations during a deadly global pandemic are a good reason. I've been here twice now and both times none of the employees or customers have been wearing masks. There's a sign on the door that says "masks required" so I don't know what's going on with the guy behind the counter. There were literally 600 new COVID cases in Westchester YESTERDAY alone so that's just wildly irresponsible to me. Not "masks around the neck during a break" just no masks. I want to be a customer of this place so badly that I gave it a pass the first time hoping it was a fluke. I drove all the way over to check it out a second time and they weren't wearing masks again... I stood in the doorway and politely asked the staff if they could put on masks. The man behind the counter refused and told me I could come back some other time. Needless to say, I won't be driving out here again to spin the dice on whether or not they're respecting health guidelines that particular day. It sucks, I would have loved having a store like this in the community to go to, but they pretty clearly told me that they do not want my business. read more

I visit periodically from where I live, which is pretty far away, but I'm a collector and I have been consistently impressed at their selection and knowledge. Rude, can't fix anything, store smells and changes prices on items. Employees wear no masks and the place is a wreck. Also they have no knowledge on what they sell. Guy thinks he knows everything and you can't tell him otherwise. Shop elsewhere where you're respected and. Not worth the hassle. And btw i can afford everything in that store if I want incase you reply with that stupid remark again UPDATE...owner took advantage of my girlfriend with the pricing of the item then it turned out to be defective. Went to get my money back and guess he didn't wanna hear the truth of how he took advantage of her so we go into and had the nerve to lock me in the store like he was he was gonna do something. Called the cops on that fat fuck. Once again I advise EVERYONE, do not give this guy your business. He's a crook and a big piece of shit! read more

Amazing selection of vintage games, consoles, and toys. Browsing was a very fun, nostalgic experience. I got to see many of the toys/games I owned as an 80's kid. The owner is a helluva nice guy who tested all equipment in front of me before I finalized my purchase. Walked out with everything I was looking for and THEN some. I haven't even gone, only spoke to the guy on the phone to ask about his prices on playstation 2 games and he told me there's no set price and that every game store in the world is like that and was kinda a dick over the phone speaking to me like I haven't been gaming for 25 years. We traveled far to come to this retro gaming store and have to say first impressions were good. I've been to many retro game stores. The store was very narrow and packed with merchandise. Owner not wearing mask and half the customers wearing on the chin. I picked out a bunch of games from the huge selection they had. The selection was very good. All the games I was holding I was ready to purchase had a price tags on them except for one. The owner started looking them up on his phone and as he did he raised the prices on the spot by $5-$10 each game. I was very disappointed. I've never seen this done in a gaming store before and thought it was unusual. I passed on all the games after that and left. Unfortunately I will not return. This store has huge potential with the selection and friendly staff. The game are the owners property and he can price them how he wishes but I don't think the way he was doing is right. read more

Quite a negative experience. I brought in about 500 dollars worth of games (in mint condition, all well preserved and taken cared of. I'm a collector so I understand the prices and market) I was thinking he would offer at least about 200 and he only said my stuff was worth 100 (a lie). I then came back a couple of days later looking to buy Pokémon Red (a game worth about 40-50 on eBay) willing to pay around 60-70 (because I understand profits) and he literally looked at me in my eyes and said "well that's a rare game so it's about 100 each". I also was looking at other common games worth about 20-30 each (specifically Kirby Tilt and Tumble) and he named his price at 100... 100 for Kirby Tilt N Tumble!!??! For some reason, the owner also decides not to wear a mask and is constantly wheezing and coughing as if that's remotely okay.. doesn't even make sense to me how someone can run a store like that. So, to summarize; Rips you off for your items (would probably offer you $5 for your Pokémon red), then takes your same game and prices it for $100. Just a huge cheapskate that wants to rip you off. Also, it's a shop that prioritizes making money rather than ANYTHING ELSE (like there's absolutely no passion for the games or any knowledge on them). It's like he had to research EVERY SINGLE THING I ASKED HIM ABOUT. Please DO NOT do it to yourself. Unless they change their methods or get a reality check on values, you should not be supporting them. read more
