I have also gotten so many random things like books, kitchen wares, decorations, etc., so there are lots of hidden gems. Generally speaking, it's a solid value for the items, but there is some variability and sometimes you'll get a screaming deal but other times it's more aligned with what you'd hope to be paid for an item you're selling. However, I have found lots of awesome pieces I wouldn't have otherwise been able to afford, so it's definitely worth looking around! It's also nice to know you're supporting a great cause. I see that some reviewers had negative experiences with employees, but I am a local and have frequented this store, and have never had a bad experience with an employee. Some people are just always going to find a reason to complain -- it's a thrift store, the prices are fair, and while it may not have what you wanted or things that catch your eye, the inventory is always changing!

They really are dedicated to supporting the animals and I feel like my money is going towards a good cause. The Managment is amazing. The racks were full of colorful, sparkly things and it was impossible not to get into the spirit of it. I decided to lean all the way in and pick something a little funky to show up in. Viviane even found the perfect silly hat to tie the whole look together. She allowed me to get ready in the dressing room since I don't live in Truckee. She even turned on a little space heater for me to stay warm. She gave me a great deal and even gifted the gloves as well as a rose quartz crystal. He was transparent about all the prices and accommodated our desired budget. He explained the fitting process in full detail making sure the boots were a comfortable fit and would work amazing on the slopes. He also answered all of our questions patiently. When one of us was deciding between two ski options he gave us an accurate side by side comparison so we could make an informed decision. He also gave us marked down prices to reflect the summer season. He sold our friend to come here next season to buy skis. Prices are a little more than thrift store prices but definitely an adventure. I shopped the dollar rack out front and found some pieces for myself, my son and my daughter. I also found some soft linens for my kitchen! My total was about $13 for 6-7 clothing items! You can find other things like toys, beach accessories, jewelry, houseware, shoes, other random finds.
