1 star I tried to…read morebecome a new patient at MTI Physical Therapy in Edmonds, but the communication experience was poor enough that I decided to look elsewhere. I repeatedly tried calling during their posted business hours and was unable to get anyone to answer the phone. Instead, I would receive text messages from the office when it was convenient for them. I responded and provided the information they requested, but they still failed to follow through and get back to me about becoming a patient. What bothered me most was that I was actively trying to give them my business and communicating during their own documented business hours, yet I could not have a normal phone conversation with someone or get a timely response after providing the requested information. I can't comment on the quality of their physical therapy because I never got far enough in the process to become a patient. This review is specifically about the new-patient communication and intake experience. Based on that experience, I did not feel that they were particularly interested in earning my business.

Axis Physical Therapy has the best support staff. Lola is…read morenot only a receptionist who sits at the front desk, she is also a scheduler, but most importantly, Lola is a walking wealth of knowledge regarding every aspect of Axis Physical Therapy to include information about Insurance, DPTs, and PTAs. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she is professional, and extremely personable. She genuinely cares about people and takes pride in her work. You hit the jackpot if she is your first contact as she was my husband's who called the facility on my behalf to research the level of skill and credentials at Axis because I had been to a previous PT who only has two Masters degrees so was not a DPT. After several months, I left without success and physically worse off. I was weary and leery of starting anew. I made the right choice going to Axis because every DPT is highly credentialed and I improved! If you have a lot of questions or concerns regarding this facility and staff, be assured they will help you. Everyone I encountered was very well trained. I had the best aide I have ever had! I do not exaggerate. Her name is Kat. She is currently working toward a Doctorates in Physical Therapy. Her degrees are in Kinesiology and Psychology which make her an excellent aide! Once she receives her DPT her talent will soar as she will combine her knowledge of kinesiology and psychology. As an aide, she had the education of how important proper body mechanics and movement is for pain relief and pain management as our limitations affect all areas of life. Kat is very professional and has more knowledge than any PTA that has ever helped me. She knew how to help me without hesitation. I felt vey confident in her ability. Axis is very accommodating. I asked to work with a female. I worked with two female DPTs, Lia and Jessica. Axis has two DPTs work together, alternating sessions, to make sure they have a more complete understanding of a patient's needs and condition each bringing their own expertise. I was uncomfortable at first because I had only worked with one DPT or PT. I didn't understand why two different people were working with me. They were both very different and very helpful. Two people have better eyes on a patient than one. I had no strength in my transverse abdominal muscles when I first started. I went twice a week and was very vigilant with my home exercises. To my surprise I improved very fast! Axis Physical Therapy is very well run and the staff are a very friendly team.

Hands down a great business. Long story short, ankle has pins from an accident 20+ years ago. Fresh…read moreaccident, seemed to alter them. My ankle kept giving out. After being brushed off, by an overpriced orthopedic doctor.....I had a very bad fall, he finally agreed I needed more than an Amazon brace. Referred here. Dr. Jessica is amaze-balls. She looks so sweet, but brought the pain. It was awful, seriously. I had bruises constantly on that leg/ankle area. As she promised, if I stuck with it, I'd be able to avoid surgery and it would help. I trusted her, got through the pain. Followed her home exercises and 6 months later I'm feeling a lot better. I'd recommend her and the staff to anyone looking for quality physical therapy, not a pill to numb the pain.

Good things don't always last forever: I asked that my new PT referral to be submitted to Atlas PT…read morebecause I had such positive success in the past. The new referral was for joint pain in different joints that were addressed in the past. However, I ran into a difficult situation trying to set up the initial evaluation (that generates a recommendation for further PT sessions). The office staff stalled in a number of different ways that communicated that they were not available to receive any new clients. I was told that Dr Tito Dith, PT had such a full schedule of clients that I should call back in 3 months! The staff person would not schedule the initial evaluation as Dr Dith was overbooked and that the practice had lost 4 of their 5 PT assistants due to their taking higher paying positions elsewhere. Unfortunately, this story is currently being repeated over and over again in established practices that is a real game changer. The only way to prevent support staff from leaving for higher pay is to offer them that competitive compensation in the first place. I do not know all of the circumstances, only what the office staff is willing to share. As for me, I learned enough while I was their client to feel like I am able to devise a productive and beneficial home program. This will require that I investigate what the internet has to offer. It would be helpful for a pro to oversee my home program. But in this case Tito Dith has made it clear that he is unavailable. So, based on what the staff is currently reporting, I cannot recommend Atlas Physical Therapy. This is the reason that I have updated my review and awarded only one star.
