We contacted them and explained the problem and they had us bring it in right away. They literally took less than 24 hours to fix the bike. Everybody who works there's absolutely amazing. We're so excited to have this Shop in the Antelope Valley. Thank you to Sam and the others. You rock.

I've spoken to them on the phone 3 times but haven't been to the shop…read more The first time I wanted to buy a QuietKat trailer (they're a dealer) and had questions about getting it to attach to my ebike; which have been mostly unanswered. For some reason I thought as a dealer they could contact the mfg and ask the question for me but I guess that didn't occur to them. I've not had any follow-up contact from them on it. I guess I'm just left with communicating and ordering directly from the mfg now? I just want to know what size axle the bobbins fit on and no one can get an answer for me. You'd think there's someone they could just call and ask and tell me; but they'd have to want to sell the product first. I get that the bobbins are out of stock on the website; but there's NO ONE who can say what they fit on, and no one is capable of finding out? If they don't fit I'd be happy to look elsewhere, but they left me in limbo. Then a month later I told them I'd like to come down to see the shop and see if there's anything else I might be interested in buying from them locally. I mentioned I'm legally blind and riding my bike in from 25 miles away and asked if they had a 120v outlet I could charge from. You know... cuz they're an ebike store. But I guess not. He said they *might* be able to find me a plug to use "for a little while if they aren't too busy" but it was very non-committal. Didn't give me any warm reassurance that they could handle something as simple as helping me charge my ebike if I ride a 50 mile round trip to get there and home... with the intent of purchasing something. I've been taking my bike to Block Bikes in Palmdale. The owner is incredibly friendly and always has a socket for me to charge with. He doesn't mess with the "ebike" parts, but handles all of my other bike needs. I've been incredibly satisfied with his service so far. He's just not an "ebike" shop. And at this point, given the general attitude of the two shops, I can't see why I'd ever bother going to the actual "ebike" shop. It sounds like if you don't buy your bike from Open Trails, they just aren't very interested doing any other business with you. I had to stop driving 8 years ago and my ebike is my ONLY form of transportation. The businesses which let me to charge there are the people who allow me the freedom to get out and be independent again. Costco is great about it, my doctor's offices are great about it, a regular bike shop Block Bikes has been great about it, the VFW has even let me charge there and I'm not a veteran, the library has helped me charge... the ONLY business I've asked so far who's waffled on the idea, is the "Open Trails Ebike" shop. Who only deal with ebikes. That seems kind of ironic. We're talking like $0.30 of power here. I'm a long-distance ebike rider, I've put 2300 miles on my Ariel Grizzly in the last 7 months and I need regular service on it. It would have been nice to form a lasting relationship giving my business to an actual "ebike" shop who can discuss my ebike needs as an ebike rider. In 7 months I've gone through a pair of tires, 3 tubes, got Tannus liners, 3 sets of brake pads, have needed some minor repairs and adjustments made, needed chain lube, needed a badly bent brake disc replaced and now need new tires again. I'm probably the most consistent ebike customer in Palmdale and I'm delighted to pay people to do the things I can't. So I'll keep going to Block Bikes to get that stuff taken care of, and will continue to buy my ebike specific parts online so I don't have to worry about if I can make it back home or not.
