Not only…read moredoes it avoid the damp smell of many vintage shops, it is also really easy to navigate and everything is organised into categories. Although it's a tiny shop, it has so much stock, especially leather boots and suit jackets. What I found annoying however was the lack of visible pricing, which means you have to wait around until the sales person is free to answer your "how much is this?" question for the hundredth time. Vintage planet can be found downstairs behind the food stalls in the corridor along the right hand side of the market. Avoid it at weekends because it gets horribly busy, I went on a Thursday morning and practically had the place to myself.

The Stables- this new revamped building in the heart of Camden has been filled with shop owners, but, more of the copy-infringed T-shirts and some Asian imports. Kinda lame, for the past few years since its opening. But, after finding vintage planet-my perception is changing. Their clothes are just like fresh from the closets of those decades! And, the wholesome French approach of the owner, Ms. Kamir, enhanced my visit to Camden market as such a positive one, and I am still smiling remembering the warm welcome from the whole family. The vintage clothes in Camden Market has been overpriced, and yet, scarce to find anything good under the budget. but this Vintage Planet will brings you back to the 80s and 90s the old-time Camden Market. Her clothes are definitely wearable and they are mold/ odor free. And, most of all, it was fun chatting with the vendor, other than looking through her clothes, talking about the punk rock eras and changing scenes, then haggling down the prices without raising eye brows. In all, I will definitely go back to her stores whenever I return to London. And, I highly recommend her store to the vintage lovers of any ange like myself!

This store has a great selection of ladies gear, and the prices are reasonable. The guys selection isn't as vast, in fact there seems to be just a couple of rails with men's clothing. So ladies indulge, you can dress yourself her from top to tail with some fab thrifty terrificness. So guys, this place maybe isn't for us but ladies if you aren't in the mood for the hustle and bustle of Camden Market, check this place out for a quick fire bargain.

On a mission to find an outfit for a Mad Men party I was soon fitted up by the owner, Lee, with a vintage figure hugging sheath dress that Peggy would have been proud of. I found a silk scarf to tie round my neck and some patent court shoes. Result. There is so much stuff in this treasure trove the V&A could probably fill any gaps in their collection if they knew it existed. For 70's loons , 80's new romantic flouncy shirts, Jackie-O type handbags and straggly looking Afghan coats - this place has it all. I'm loathe to recommend it to other vintage lovers incase they nab the stuff I want,

The upper floor of the shop (i.e. the ground floor) is full of wonderful accessories ranging from vintage-inspired jewellery to psychedelic fabric-covered clutches from the '60s. There was even an amazing silver-plated pirate ship brooch in the display case. There are some vintage dresses on a rack up here, but if you're looking for the motherload, you need to go downstairs, where you'll be passing a collection of amazing Ossie Clark dresses on the way down. A word of warning though: only go down if you've the time to spare. There are two rooms of clothes organised by colour and length, with each garment rated on a grade of A to E in accordance to its condition. On the same grading tag is a description of which era the garment comes from, which is something you don't get in most vintage shops in East London. There're also more bags down here too, including several kitschy Barbie hat travel cases. This place isn't cheap, as one might expect. Most dresses were £125 and above. Still, it's definitely a great place to while away an hour or two if you're into vintage!

I escaped with a lovely scarf and tore myself away from some amazing shoes that were half a size too large for me. A real steal of a shop with Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu and some higher-end high street...and definitely not as packed with weary-looking rich kids like some of the other vintage giants around Camden/Covent Garden. Highly, highly recommended. I took a star off mainly due to the fact that there were toddlers crawling all up in some amazing leather bags. Mental thoughts included, do NOT puke/poo/pee (like that alliteration action?) on that, thanks.

I so enjoyed my conversation with them regarding the history of different design houses, and where these houses are now under the current design teams. Be sure that you visit both the top and bottom floors. I found that the best items seem to be on the top floor, but the bottom floor is worth the trip, especially if you have any children in your life who you might like to gift some lovely designer pieces. Unfortunately, I didn't walk away with anything during my first visit, but I did find a gorgeous Chanel jacket that was priced fantastically (it was just not in my size), and an MIH shearling jacket that I may have to go back for that was also priced reasonably, as well as a cute little Burberry coat in the children's section that was an absolute steal. If you become a regular customer, I was informed that then they will offer to add you to their email list to be alerted when special pieces in your size come in--they do narrow it down to meet your specifications (size, designer, etc). Currently, I was told that the list is about 1000 persons long, and that pieces fly out the door, so it is best to visit often and not wait for the email notifications in any case.
