I came here to write a bad review and then saw Ben G's review and the Restored Church response. I have no opinion of Restored LA, but I have the same concern as Ben G about Restored Church Worldwide. They are recruiting students from Purdue in Indiana and trying to get them to give up school and career to move to LA and "fellowship." It's giving cult. It's giving human trafficking. They are a very scary organization. I wish I could respond to Ben G's review. It caught my attention because it was a 1 star. I don't want him to remove it because it might help others who are trying to find the correct church (thank you for leaving the link). Restored LA is great church! I know that the Spirit of God is present at every gathering and the people really feel like a family. The Gospel Communities help us do life together, they even have Young Adults gatherings which I'm grateful for. The pastors are great and Brad is really good communicator and teacher! read more

So I just visited Restored Church for the first time today! I discovered Restored from driving by a few times, and being recommended to me, plus seeing the 5 star reviews on here gave me hope. At first I arrived very nervous, not sure what to expect. Are people going to look at me funny or judge me? But I got the complete opposite at Restored. I can tell this definitely feels like one big family here. Everyone is so genuinely nice and friendly, not the fake kind of nice. I loved the message today about what it takes to be a healthy leader. I got emotional at some points, but I also had some laughs from the pastor's jokes. I've been trying to find a church to go to since I've been wanting to go back to my faith in Jesus, and so far Restored seems like the church I will be attending. Can't wait for Sundays!! read more

God has used Restored Church to change my life in incredible ways. I never experienced the personal love of God through Jesus until I came and encountered God through the preaching and the people. I love how the people here aren't "stuffy" or "better than thou," but rather are humble, hospitable and honest about their hurts and hangups. Great Church! I really enjoy the worship, it is not showy, but brings you into God's presence with joyful songs and voices. The Word is preached each week with conviction and an emphasis on reaching hearts and minds that they may be transformed by God's Spirit. The fellowship at church is warm and friendly, everyone is encouraged to join a week night gathering to share a meal, study scripture, pray and care for one another. I'm so happy to call this church home. I've always heard that the church is a family, but I've never seen it modeled like it has been here. Yes, meeting in a school auditorium isn't as comfortable as a fancy building, but it really helps me remember that the church truly is made up of people... not a production, a building, or an event. The preaching is Gospel-centered, and isn't just a self-help pep talk. It keeps the main thing the main thing (Jesus), and connects him to every area of your life! The thought that goes into every aspect of the gathering and teaching is so apparent. I actually found Restored originally through Yelp - finding a place to call home is difficult, wherever and however you look. Restored is great - current congregation of 150+, great for kids, and a relaxed setting to meet Jesus. I've been going a little over a year now, and it's nice to actually know people. I started going to Restored when I was really lost and searching. I was embraced just as I was and found a really family in this community. I am a single mom and my son and I were lovingly accepted. My son looks forward to the kids program every week. So very thankful for this place and how I have found a renewed relationship with Jesus and joy that I've never known before. read more

This was a great church to land after my old church environment where I didn't feel like I could find community. Restored is genuinely the best church I've seen at being a community but only if you join a small group and go every week consistently. Also you have to sign up for the same group again and again if you want to keep in touch with those same people. As soon as I stopped going to group, I never heard from anyone in that group again, which is so sad and no one even asked why I left. I even kept reaching out to the same people outside of group but to no avail. I felt like this church had great potential but maybe it grew too fast or maybe covid made everyone crazy busy and/or isolated. Anyway, I hope everyone who goes there can get a better family experience than I did, whether they go to all the groups or activities or not. Not everyone can or wants to go to groups every single week and I just hope there's a place for them to find community too. read more

Restored LA holds a special place in my heart. I walked in 2.5 years ago as a non-believer and 5 months of hearing the Gospel truth and His Grace over me for the first time in my life, I got saved and gave my life to Christ. I had never been a part of a church, Gospel Community aka Life Group, etc., but it is so clear that Jesus used this group of people to show me His pursuit and love of me. The Spirit is so present within this community and the Lord's hand is so evidently moving. I know it's all because of Jesus, but through His people and the encouragement of this church, I was able to reconcile my relationship with my dad, met my husband (Brad married us!), and redefine what a full life is. Now, we continue to challenge ourselves to love and follow Jesus, live life together as an imperfect family all while enjoying the gift of His grace. read more

Restored Church L.A. has a huge piece of my heart. This church is not a building but a community of people from all walks of life that live out life together, day by day, the good and the difficult and everything in between. The preaching is Biblically solid, expository preaching. Restored is a warm and welcoming church, everyone is welcome and loved on. There are classes you can take to further your knowledge. The core of this church is their Gospel Community Groups that meet every week, this is where you really get to know people and do life together. I encourage everyone to get plugged into a GCG ASAP. Authentic, relatable people. Not afraid to jump headfirst into controversial topics. Highest level of transparency I've experienced. Doing life together rather than "going to the church building on Sunday mornings." Community. Enjoying, celebrating, serving, and with purpose. People becoming free and starting an epic adventure. Fighting for your own heart and for the hearts of those around you as they fight for yours, too. Imperfect because perfection doesn't exist, but a miracle for my life. Also, the senior pastor is a clearly and abundantly gifted teacher and speaker. Sermons aren't the type where you look at your watch or phone 10 minutes in thinking it's been 30. It's usually the other way around as he is unafraid to "go there," but does it in an incredibly loving yet intellectual and well-thought-out (not to mention usually hilarious) way. Prayer is enthusiastically filled with the Spirit. Worship genuine and honest, not a show but an authentic and grateful singing to God. Kids Ministry seen as just as important as "big church." Not daycare, but opportunities for children to hear the Gospel and for their hearts to be fully formed. Normal, ordinary people doing extraordinary things not because they're awesome but because God has his hand on and over this church. read more

I have enjoyed the family atmosphere that this church provides as well as the safety to ask questions and doubt. I have enjoyed the openness of people here to talk about their struggles and to be real with others about their journey. The teaching has been so helpful to me in understanding who Jesus Christ was and why he matters 2,000 years later. I have loved getting to know the other people at the church and being able to talk with Brad, the pastor, to get a better understanding of what they are about. I have been going here for about a year now and looking forward to continuing in that.
