I sat down and heard a powerful message delivered by Pastor David. The Garden's production and stage is also top notch. God is truly working at The Garden Church and you will feel him there. Yes, it's an option to do so, but I only know that because I wondered in there one day and asked. It's only there for overflow of the actual church itself and I've never seen it so full that anybody would have to view the sermon from the gym. Not once in the entire year I've been attending. There is always ample seating...always. It's an incredible church period...end of story. I pray that all who find those negative reviews ignore that nonsense and come see for themselves. The pastor is 1 in a million as well.

In 2022 I was at my darkest time in my life so in 2023 I got Baptist on my bday may 6th, and gave myself to the lord I will not lie I made a family here! With pastor Jesse, daily Brian, brother Matthew! They accepted me and gave me advice when I really needed it. Throughout time they anointed me with being one of the leads for the means bible study in January of last year and they saw something in me to become an usher. I didn't ask but they asked me. So I'm feeling rejoice inside and out. They show me appreciation and tell me all the good I've done. Sometimes as men we need to feel appreciated and heard. I have been feeling like the enemy or the devil has been attacking me. And I've morning a lost from a relationship, my cars engine broke down on me, listening to family drama and I'm just like what did I do to deserve this. I am blessed enough to have friends to come and get me to take me to church, and I even walked back home after. Took me 3 and half hours to walk but I needed that. There was plenty of parking in the garage, come early especially since this Saturday they had this performance of the passion play. Great singing and performance by everyone. We took communion. I'm torn by the way I feel. I feel like there is an angel and a demon on my shoulders that tugging on my heart, mind and spirit. I want to do right. So god has it on my heart to lean on him while I am feeling so low. Not going to lie I miss my daughter so much.

Why am I being told I could not get my daughter that I had to wait 5-10 minutes. During those first 5 minutes another parent comes who received a text for their child. Granted that's more urgent she was assisted ASAP. Even tho I was there before that parent I was never met with let me find someone to assist you getting you your child, I was just told I have to wait. When that parent came out with their child I asked the woman who helped her (the receptionist), why my child can not be brought out to me if I have to go. She said I could only help one parent at a time, to which I responded I was here before the woman you just helped. Finally at 12:17 she takes my portion of ticket to go get my child. That had been over the 5-10 minutes I was initially supposed to wait. I do not appreciate my daughter being held hostage at the convenience of staff! Proper communication would have been nice but I guess you have to come at these workers rude so they could attend to you. Because when I was asking nicely NO ONE wanted to help. My daughter did not walk out of shepards kids until 12:23!!!! Not even then did they open for the other parents to get their children. I also don't appreciate the receptionist assuming I'm lying that I'm picking up my daughter, my daughter was confused as to why she was being questioned on who I was! 28 minutes is how long it took for me to get my daughter from shepards kids! There won't be a next time unfortunately!

Now we call freedom church our home church! I have met so many amazing people through the church! Friendships that are everlasting and helped me along my journey walking with Christ! Pastor justice is such an amazing pastor and the lord speaks through him in a way that helps me observe and apply the word of god in my daily life! I use to run away from churches that made me feel like I didn't fit in or who were rude or if I saw them smoking , cursing! Truth is our world is broken! If god accepts us for the times we have sinned why wouldn't he accept them? You don't need to be perfect or have a perfect life to follow Christ! Growing up my parents protected me from seeing how horrible this world can be and I know I needed to see these things because it would give me a choice! A choice to see what is good and bad and how to say no to bad things and how to keep my eyes on the lord or be someone else's blessing.
