I started going to Amy about 3 years ago. I am a male, and had been having extreme pelvic floor pain since about 2013. At that time, I went to several Dr's and Urologists who put me through tests, x-rays, and had me on the strongest antibiotics possible because they thought it was bacterial Prostatitis. Then finally back to the Urologist who told me I should start taking Flowmax. Flowmax is a drug that is essentially a muscle relaxer for your lower half. While some symptoms improved slightly, I had terrible leg pain because some muscle were working and others had to make up for it. I then tried Qurol. Without writing a book, after all I went through for about 6 years, and these Dr's being clueless as to how to treat and diagnose Pelvic Floor Pain. I did research which was pretty slim out there on this. Definitely more for the female anatomy, but even that is slim. I found some specialists located in large cities who focused on the subject. Nothing local, in Indiana. Until, by luck, I came across Amy. Somehow, I was lucky enough to find her. On Google. I pretty much at that point had an idea of what might help me, as far as finding a physical therapist that specialized in Pelvic Floor issues. I am on the High Functioning Autism Spectrum myself. I am very intelligent, but super analytical and I research everything I can. If you don't know what that is, it can vary, but I have OCD, ADD, don't like a lot of noise, large groups of people, I can feel awkward or uncomfortable easily, especially around people I don't know and this can be a very personal setting obviously. So I set up an appointment with Amy. It took a bit to get in, but that's because she is so highly qualified and has a lot of patients. Look, prior to finding Amy, I was looking at possibly flying to Chicago or LA for this kind of specialist! First, let me tell you. She is the most qualified person in this specialty I could imagine there is. She knew exactly what to do. How to fix me. No guess work, like the Dr's I had been to. It still baffles me how she knows how to press in one spot a certain way to release a knot in a muscle. I try it and it doesn't work.. (Job security.. lol) In one session, I felt better than in over 7 years! Did I say Professional yet? She explains everything. Asks what you are comfortable with. Asks for constant feedback. Did I mention I was on the Autism Spectrum? If you are like me, many things may make you uneasy, or uncomfortable. However, I never felt uncomfortable with Amy. She explained everything. She asked for feedback. She gave me tools and ways to help myself as well. I occasionally go back for some maintenance. However, I am NORMAL again for the most part. She helps me stay that way! After all I went through. I don't need to take drugs, muscle relaxers, etc for a condition that is completely treatable NATURALLY. I referred my sister to her as well and she still goes when she needs some help. So as I was getting ready to post my review, I see a 1 star review on here and I am thinking. How can this be? I have had the best experience with Amy, and Restore your Core. So has my Sister and several others I referred to her. So I read the one negative review on here and was a little shocked. I certainly don't want to come off as insensitive. Abuse, molestation and Neglect are real things. I don't condone those things nor make light of them and I don't dismiss peoples sensitivities. God knows I have them. I mentioned that above. However, based on my experience, nothing in that 1 star review reflects Amy. So doing the research (as I always do..) I viewed the reviewers "other reviews". Wouldn't you know it... out of 17 reviews, 10 were 1 star. 2 were 2 stars and only 5 were 5 stars. You can click the name of a reviewer and see for yourself. So I asked myself. How in the world can someone be so unhappy with everyone? Well folks, some people just live to complain and get enjoyment on some level being unhappy? I am going on too much about this, but I do have OCD... Some people can't help it. So I leave you with this. I am a real client of Amy's. 100% of what I said above is true. I was not paid to write this. I wasn't asked to write it. Amy nor anyone at restore your core even knows I was going to write it. Hopefully they read it. I was just compelled after what I read to do so. Because the Gods honest truth is. If I had not found Amy. I would STILL BE MISERABLE, taking Qurol and other muscle relaxers to mask something that is fixable! What I learned in addition to the help she gave has also helped me gain new perspective on the whole situation. So I will never feel like I am in the dark again! So take it from me. If you need help with Pelvic Pain and many other physical ailments, if you don't see Restore Your Core, the only one you are hurting is yourself. Just know. Amy at Restore Your Core has been nothing short of a miracle-worker for my entire family. I started seeing her for idiopathic pelvic, hip, and low back pain in 2020 after being referred to her by my brother, who had long suffered with chronic pelvic pain for years and finally found relief after seeing Amy. After a couple more sessions, she was really able to hone in on the epicenter of my problems and from there we developed an extremely effective treatment plan. Now, with regular maintenance, and by following her advice for home care (ie. stretching, proper lifting, posture, etc.), I finally feel like I have my life back! No longer am I dealing with constant, nagging pain that impedes my ability to live; rather, I understand my body and I can immediately go about sorting it out without delay or disruption to my daily life. Last year, she began seeing my husband after he pulled his groin, as well. He could barely even walk and had trouble getting into and out of his vehicle, but within two sessions with Amy he was pain-free and back to his normal self. Then this year I brought my oldest son to see her. He suffered from birth trauma that left him so mal-aligned that I had literally never seen his heels touch the ground. He could only walk on his tiptoes and he had a very strange gait. He also dealt with chronic and debilitating back and neck pain that no chiropractor was ever able to alleviate. After just one session with Amy, I saw my son's heels meet the ground for the first time in his whole 17-years of life! I was brought to tears! When I say Amy is nothing short of a miracle-worker, I mean it. What she does as a healer is hard to explain or even comprehend, and I have given countless doctors her information so they can confidently recommend their patients to her, as well. I also think she is just an amazing, kind soul. I feel immensely blessed to have her as my medical provider, and after years of treatment and growth at the hands of this truly amazing woman, I would also gladly call her my friend.
