I don't usually write reviews, but the Restore Tactics team, owned by James Duran, truly went above and beyond to solve a stressful and serious issue with our main sewer line. It started with the sounds of gurgling toilets and led to a nightmarish discovery of a severe root infiltration from our front yard tree. After another plumbing company initially started the job, my friend recommended James and his crew. From the beginning, the customer service was outstanding. James dropped by to investigate the problem and assured us they could fix it for a price within our already stretched budget. The Restore Tactics team showed up on Saturday, the next day. James, Robert, Eric, Raymond, Agustin, and Oscar were courteous, arrived on time, were well-equipped, and ready to work. They carefully inspected the line using a camera, gently and slowly cut through the tree root obstructions, removed a part of the sidewalk, repaired and replaced the damaged pipes, and explained everything thoroughly and clearly. The repair was an enormous undertaking, but they worked efficiently, respectfully, and with evident expertise. I appreciated their commitment to solving the problem and alleviating the stressful situation; they always cleaned the area thoroughly when they were done for the day. After digging and repairing the immense issue, they restored the yard by refilling the holes, reseeding the grass, and replacing the concrete slab in the sidewalk. They also provided a separate cleanout for easy access from the front yard. The pricing was more than reasonable and transparent; they never pressured us. But what was most impressive was their kindness and consideration for the community; James and his team wanted to help us. I'm beyond grateful for Restore Tactics and will call them again if I have any plumbing issues. As a parent, I was also amazed by how James took the time to bring his young son for a few visits and explained how they would solve the situation. read more

I am so elated that I found this company! They installed an automatic GAS SHUTOFF VALVE AND CLEANED THE DUCTS to our clothes dryer! I reached out to Restoration Tactics because I have been suspecting that there is a mold issue in a leaking window in my place. I once knew this business as Duran and Sons from 2013 and without much knowing they were not in 2020. The original contact number on D&S website no longer connected and yet the website was still up in running. After further searching, I was able to locate Restore Tactics and a brief explanation from Vanessa about how the original company has taken a new direction and merged with another gave way to its new title and image. Still, with great service, their hourly rate is on the premium side, but they do get results done. They may specialize in insurance work, but they seem to be the same people as before. read more

We currently have major plumbing issues in all three of our bathrooms. The sink is deteriorating along with the faucets and mold has formed. We had another company come out (a vendor from our landlord's American Shield coverage) who came out and told us we'd need a total renovation of the sink. Lupe, w/ Restore Tactics came out, gave us a detailed description of the problems and will be able to fix it without major renovations as well as the other 2 bathroom sinks. We have worked w/ this company before and they are very professional, courteous and most importantly very skilled at what they do! I HIGHLY recommend them! Do not trust the good reviews. Most of them are the same people (employees, associates or family). This group is full of thieves. They came and charged me for services they never completed. They also never finished the work. I had someone else come out and finish because they never respond. They now want more money, even after I paid them. They are trying to steal from the insurance company now. They charged me for storage and nothing was ever stored. This is by far the worst group of people and because they're out of state with a salon address, they hide from their clients. Don't trust them and don't work with them. read more

It's not Restore Tactics. It's SCAM TACTICS. These people are scam artists. Unfortunately most people will only read this when it's too late. They look professional as scam artists do. They will up charge you for anything and everything. They changed a faucet and tried to up charge me more to change the drain pipe. Then they tried to get $222 to change a sink flange in the kitchen. I don't normally write reviews, but I want to warn anyone that might be looking for contractors to look elsewhere. I first called them because of a slab leak in my kitchen. They were really prompt and took care of the issue the next day. They were much more expensive than other quotes, but assured me that a decent chunk was a deposit for the remediation equipment and I could bill it to insurance later. Spoilers, I lost count of how many times I asked for a receipt with the breakdown and still haven't seen it. It all went downhill after the plumbing work. I kept them on for the demo and build back and it was by far the worst contractor experience I have ever had. They were incredibly unresponsive and would no-show more than they would show. When they did show up they would arrive very late and leave very early and then disappear again for weeks. Each day telling me they would be there they next day and then not responding. This went on nearly every day for a few months. They managed to stretch a couple of weeks worth of work over 3 months, and they still have not finished but insurance paid them the full amount, so they've stopped responding to me. In addition, one of their sub-contractors used some of my tools and forgot and took them with him. I let the site supervisor know (who was great, by the way, but sadly not in charge of scheduling) and he asked me to let their main office know so they could remind people not to use customer's tools and also so they could replace it. I let them know expecting them to replace them but they didn't even offer and ignored that. Overall, this was an unnecessarily stressful experience, I have a full time job that doesn't involve chasing them every day and lived in a construction zone for months instead of weeks. And, as I mentioned, they never finished the work. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I called RT to clear the main sewer line - 4" pipe. They told me that they intentionally do not use blades at the end of the snake. So they "cleaned" it with just a 5/8" wire that they bent at the end. Water came down bc they made a hole in the roots' canopy, BUT DID NOT CUT THE ROOTS. When I inspected the drain with a sewer camera I have, the roots were still there. RT men were present and saw it but refused to clear it. The roots remain and sewer will clog in 2/3 weeks and they will demand payments for clearing it again. I am lucky I have a camera. Other people do not and when the water recedes, they think that the issue is resolved. In fact, nothing was fixed and it is a way to get paid again and again for the same job. It is a scam and should be reported. RT deceives people. read more

I had trouble with backed up water, called this company and the dispatcher was sweet and scheduled me right away, she also worked with my schedule. Anyhow, workers came in on time gave me a quote and I asked if they can get started at that moment and they did. Service was quick and smooth. I also wanted to add how friendlly and good spirited the workers were . I will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends . Truth be told that you served us rapidly and you promisd us a comprehensive job...you did what you knew insurance would pay... No one wants to deliberately write this type of review but you left us hanging. You didnt get back to us timely as you did when you first got our call. It was obvious your workmen knew to only deal with the insurance claim. You procrastinated and delayed us in an unprofessional matter for the MAIN issue at hand which you knew insurance didn't cover. It's wrong and sad that I had to go out and hire another company to finish the job where you secured the jackpot of reimbursement. For those reading this review - know that they can write back a proficient review but know that we had high tolerance. They finished the job and knew about the insurance payment before we even received. Once we received it, there was pressure to come over ASAP to get paid but the promises to fix the remainder of the job was shunned. NO ETHICS or INTEGRITY. Restore Tactics Inc AVOIDS warranty claims and is NON-RESPONSIVE. I called Restore Tactics Inc, pulling the original invoice for installation of three new toilets and a flange stack. The initial repairs were completed and satisfactory. The city installed "smart" meters and I received notification of continuous water flow. Researching this we discovered the toilet, previously replaced, was the cause. I called and spoke to Vanessa. I was told to email a copy of the original invoice. I scanned the estimate, business card and original invoice and emailed the same on August 17, 2022 immediately following the telephone call. August 19, 2022 I sent a follow up email. The emails contained requested documentation and my cell number for contact, which is also on the invoice. August 24, 2022, I have yet to receive a return call or email response. * NOTE: The original invoice and documentation specifies a three (3) year warranty. ****WE ARE WELL WITHIN THE THREE (3) YEARS!**** * Restore Tactics Inc does not honor their WRITTEN commitments. * With water restrictions in place, the water companies providing notification of continuous water flow and threats of excessive fines, I immediately contacted Restore Tactics Inc. They quoted me 800.00 without even really taking off my shower head to find out why it was not running, wanting to go through my wall in the bedroom. Turns out all I needed was a new shower valve which was only cost me 60.00 to replace. They even called n said I was getting a deal because it normally cost 1200. What a rip off. After two attempts by other contractors, one in 2011 and one in 2014 to fix a leak in our den wall we discovered during this year's rain that it was not fixed. We'd already been cancelled by our home owner's insurance for having too many water claims so we decided to just pay out of pocket. We were so fortunate to find restore tactics. They were able to correctly diagnose where the water was coming in and fix it in a minimum of time. The guys were always on time, came when they said they would, were neat, clean and expert. They saved us a lot of money in the long run because the water had so damaged the one beam they replaced it would have been major in the future. I was referred to them by a friend's friend. We had a water leak under the slab. I called them and spoke to James. They showed up and finally found the leak. The tiles ahd to be removed and dig the slab. They replaced the section of the pipe and left after putting a few dehumidifiers. I had to call them again because the pipe leaked. They came out and fixed it. They had to remove almost all the tiles from the room and the adjacent entry way. Then they poured concrete. The finishing was pathetic. It was very uneven with debris still there. I called James and he promised that he will send his people soon. Never did. After that he stopped picking my phone calls. I left him many messages. Must have called him around 20 times. I called his office also many times. Finally the lady at the office said that James is an independent contractor and he don't work for Restore Tactics. That was not true because I found out that he is part owner of the company. Per my insurance company they charged them arm and a leg. Caution: Get everything in writing.
