I especially liked when the forearms got involved in the massage, and it's not only the hands. Her English was good enough to carry a conversation. Prior to coming here, I had received a crappy, "swoosh" massage from a different place, and Li Li was able to wash that one out of my memory banks with an exceptionally good massage. (I coined this term "swoosh massage" for when the therapist just swooshes her hands around on your back, without ever getting any real depth into your skin. Sometimes she can get enthusiastic about it, and swoosh harder and with more vigor, but in the end it is still swoosh).

Yesterday I went in for a massage as the right side of my back had been hurting and I asked for a regular Swedish 60 minute massage. The masseuse kept trying to sell a deep tissue massage but I declined. Then for the pain in my back, she suggested a topical oil "medicine" which she said has been a fan favorite by other clients. I was skeptical and she said it was only an additional $5 so I opted for it. While the medication felt nice, the massage was mediocre but still did the job. What bothered me the most was that when I went to go pay, the woman then quoted me $10 for the medication. Her colleague agreed that it was $10 and I'm sure that may be the price however, my masseuse told me $5 in the room. She then began to raise her voice and shout that she never said that. There wasn't much that I could do since it was post-service. To top it all off, both women demanded a minimum of a 20% tip for their services for both me and my husband. I have no problem tipping but when it is demanded and the minimum starts at 20% - that is ridiculous. Tips are welcomed not required. I truly feel cheated and scammed and will not recommend this place to anyone any longer. There are many other massage places that are better in terms of quality, care, and cost that are deserving of your business.
