My experience with Emily has been a revolution of my heart and my cells. I was blown away by the…read moreenchanting space of her office. From her nurturing demeanor and professionalism I felt at ease... even from the first few moments i knew this was going to be a cathartic session because of how safe i felt. She works with beautiful music, and crystals and sage and big metal singing bowls and her hands. Its a wild paradox that someone can hold you lightly and also with strength and certainty and you feel comfortable to let go. Yes i cried. I hate crying and it was amazing. My whole body was lighter and i was having visual experiences that made sense- its a beautiful and rare thing to feel that your cells got nourishment. Truly cathartic and bonus was the enchanting lightness i carried with me from her session. This is part of my wellness routine

It's difficult to quantify what Emily brings to the literal and figurative table. I have been…read moreworking with her for several years and her work is constantly evolving and blooming. She begins each session with a conversation so that she can truly meet you where you are and provide a wholistic approach to what you need to heal. Whether that is an emotional or physical release, a deepened connection with source, an energetic balancing or cleansing, or so on. Every session is unique to where I am at in my physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. She always seems to know what is wrong before I open my mouth, but she always holds space for me within her loving glow. Emily has an incredible way of making you feel instantly comfortable, even the most advanced of wall builders, like myself. I have broken down into tears before getting on the table, had massive physical releases, and healed in ways I thought weren't possible. She has guided me through deep emotional trauma as well as physical trauma (I had abdominal surgery to remove 15 tumors in 2016). I will say it's not all glitter and romance, there are often hard lessons to be learned and dealt with, and they can be difficult (but always necessary) and she guides you through it with light and love. I could go on and on, but really my words will mean nothing. What Emily offers is intuitive and experiential. Everyone's session is powerful, uniquely their own, and always far beyond what they expected. She is a true facilitator for your healing journey and I am blessed to have her in my life. My advice: go in to your session with an open mind and ready to receive her gifts.

I've been coming to this location for about a year now as my go-to spot for a nice massage. I'm a…read morepart of their membership, so I pay a flat monthly fee which includes one massage for free, and additional massages for a reduced rate. Typically I go once or twice a month. This month was pretty run of the mill for my experience here, absolutely wonderful. I typically arrive 5-10 minutes early, and the person working the front desk greets me by name. They show me to their comfortable waiting nook with nice plush chairs. The bathroom is right down the hall if needed. Right on time, my massage therapist comes out, and walks me back to the treatment rooms, which have always been comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. After a quick chat, I'm left to undress and then I get an hour of pure relaxation. I've seen a handful of therapists at this location, and while they each have different skills, I've never been disappointed. When it's time to go, the therapists always offer a glass of water to stay hydrated, and walk me to the front of the building to see me off.

I didn't appreciate the up selling and the lateness for my appointment!

I was able to buy a Groupon for this session and so the price was very reasonable. I know nothing about these kinds of procedures so did some research on the Lapex 2000 LipoLaser. In Lipo Laser the machine uses light wavelengths to target fat cells; the paddles are placed on the skin for 10 minutes or so and the procedure is totally non-invasive. I met with Dr. Grim who was friendly, knowledgeably answered all of my questions and gave me some additional tidbits to think about. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about whether I would see any results. Like many women near 50 I have a few pounds that just refuse to go away. Dr. Grim has administered thousands of sessions with over 2,000 customers, so he has been around the block and has some great lessons learned to share with his patients. Measuring my abdomen before and after proved that I actually lost 2 full inches just from this one session. I am more motivated to continue my more healthy eating habits and regular exercise along with these Lipo Laser appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Grim and the PA Center for Wellness...you should give it a try, what do you have to lose but maybe a few fatty inches!!

I made a consultation appointment which they only take on two days of the week after the doctor was away for two weeks on vacation. After driving an hour and a half which they knew about I called 15 minutes prior to let them know I would be literally four minutes late. I was put on hold and then told it was ok. I have a picture of my gps because I could not believe when they called me when I was five minutes away to say they had to reschedule me. I had missed the call because I was in the middle of nowhere and Reading PA so when I tried to call back they had shut off all of the lines and when I showed up three minutes later the doors were locked. It was so unprofessional I will never go back there.

Ok, let's take this way back. Seven years ago I had never been to a chiropractor and was actually…read morescared to see one. For some reason I didn't like the "cracking" sound. However, I was experiencing immense neck pain at the time and was at my limit--I would've done anything to make the pain go away and go away for good. My cousin suggested Dr. Chris to me and after that very first visit, I had fallen in love with chiropractic care and continue to go to Balance for both my injuries and preventative care. Dr. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable. He'll answer every question I have and never makes me feel rushed. Some visits, I don't even mention what areas are bothering me, but it always seems like as soon as I get on the table he finds the exact spot that's causing the trouble. The location has also been very convenient no matter where I lived. It's right near Rittenhouse Sq and there's tons of public transportation options. I work near by and so quick lunch appointments are a plus. Several occasions I've stopped by without an appointment, and they always squeeze me in. Sometimes I'll have to wait a few minutes to be seen, but it's worth it--plus who doesn't expect some kind of wait for a doctor's appointment? I'd much rather wait 10 mins for an adjustment and feel instant relief than wait 45 mins at my primary for them to tell me there's nothing they can do about my neck pain. Over the years, I've also taken advantage of the monthly sales they've had to offer. I've had massages with Kathy, Steven, and Jeannille. These three therapists all have different styles, but every massage I've had has been fantastic. I wouldn't consider Balance to have a "spa-like" atmosphere, but I would much rather get a massage here than anywhere else as they are focused not only on relaxation, but also and more importantly, on healing. Ok so maybe I've raving about this place because I've been coming here for seven years, but then again I wouldn't have been coming here for seven years if there was nothing to rave about.
