The staff here are very careless. Or they pick and choose who they want to help. My cousin has…read moreHuntington's disease and is mistreated. There is always something; they leave him lying flat when they take his food in his room and then say (we can't make him sit up)... but you also can't leave him eating if it's unsafe. They leave his dirty diapers lying on the floor in the room; he is bed-bound and can't walk, so he isn't doing it himself. As others have stated, the call bell is pointless because they ignore you, or it's somewhere that it can't be reached. They take weeks to do haircuts, and they don't clean the rooms. They don't even change the Pee pads. I have so much evidence against this place; it's not somewhere you want your family to be. They don't take care of their residents/patients.

They don't wanna give him a shower and when they do wash him up they wash him up with cold water then they State this is what you get for calling your family and telling on us. There nothing they can do they don't live around here today also they was ask to wash is eye that has some green yucky stuff on it they said the nurse will handle it as of this time 442pm it's almost 5 hours later it's still hasn't been clean we have so much proof of what we're saying so much evidence it does not matter how short staffed they are they can do better and do their best not just totally neglect anyone there is a thing by stating hey Sutton, such we're shortstaffed I'll do the best I can for what I don't get done. I will report it to the next shift and hopefully they can get it done, but to totally neglect them is totally uncalled for. when you work in this field, you're a mandated reporter so these girls know that they're short staffed why aren't they reporting these girls know that they're being abused wiring? It being reported you can also do stuff and call it in anonymously. You don't even have to give your name so for me to be able to think or even say that it's because they're short staffed that's why the place is the way it is and people are being treated poorly that's why the residents of being mentally physically emotionally abused because not even a staff want a place to get better by reporting it maybe it's because they're getting paid to do nothing and they figured we're getting paid to do nothing. Why report I wouldn't send my dog here where are the head honcho? Where are the owners that are getting paid For our love ones to be token care of always document get pictures of stuff that's going around in this facility so you have proof like we are doing have been doing since he fell out of bed and they don't even call us till we went in to see him then they wanted to hide it from us that he fell just like his roommate that fell out of bed they moved him out the room because the man had a hole in his head because it was split open no one knows what happen to this man or where he's at please please don't send your love ones to suburban woods

I will admit that when we had to look at a facility for our mom and I saw that this was a Genesis…read morefacility I was scared to death (rightfully so due to a past experience at ANOTHER Genesis Facility) We toured a few facilities and believe me when I say your choices are VERY limited when your loved one has to transition to Medicaid from Medicare. The facilities that take Medicaid and DO NOT have a 2-3 year waiting list are very few! My sister and I chose this facility and we couldn't be happier! Was the facility old? Yes. Is the food horrible? Yes. But those are minor issues. The nursing and support staff on the 2nd floor were great! I am not saying there was not issues but when we addressed them with staff they were rectified or a plan was put into play. The physical and occupational departments along with "Lucy" were a step above. My mom was not really walking when she arrived and within 2-3 weeks they had her up and walking with a walker. She had a major setback in her recovery but once she returned she was able to be released a week later. Today my mom is still recovering but at home and is walking on her own with little assistance from her walker! A JOB WELL DONE in my opinion. The administrative staff and the receptionist were very friendly and knowledgeable. If I had to give a negative it would be the food and meals. Thank you to everyone involved in getting my mom back on her feet.

I was an INMATE at Norriton Square PRISON for four months in 2025…read more Recovering from Congestive Heart Failure, my loving children selected this (((shudder))) rehab facility because they believed I was DYING and needed HOSPICE care. I have been struggling since my discharge to prove them WRONG. The rehab staff were capable but demoted me from a cane to a rollator and occasional transport wheelchair. What I NEEDED was to see a REAL doctor (not an NP) about hip replacement. As far as CARDIAC CARE? Fergetaboutit. Within the first week I was informed that whatever care I needed the staff there could provide. The first real medical care I received was an xray of my left pinkie which had developed a lump. That was after THREE MONTHS of my imprisonment. I once had to wait 72 hours for the ONE NP on staff to see me about a UTI (((waves at Jackie))). On life-sustaining, routine maintenance... The food and diet is comparable to what they are serving in PRISONS. I lost 40 pounds in 4 months. Oh yes I also lost a tooth, developed SCURVY. One day, along with my dinner, I was served a LIVE ROACH on my tray. And oh yes, I have photos. Staff, beyond rehab therapists and 3 RNs PER FLOOR, are all rent-an-aids from an agency. They rarely return, even more rarely WORK, do not speak English but when they do are surly and rude. My fellow inmates, with a few shining exceptions, will give you nightmares. There were at least two gentlemen wearing court-ordered ankle monitors. Another invaded my room (oops! wrong room!) and I was so traumatized I could not speak - except to croak to Claudine RN "I don't belong here". To sum it up. Do not send your loved ones to Norriton Square Nursing and Rehab, 1700 Pine Street, Norristown. You will be disinherited or haunted! PS - the whole place smells like feces

My spouse was assigned to the Hill at Whitemarsh once in November 2025 and more recently May 2026…read more My review might have been 4 stars based on her first recovery from surgery for a broken and ankle and fibula. Maybe Medicare rules changed but the first time there was much better communication about objectives before discharge and clear evidence of achieving these milestones. In the most recent visit there was not the level of communication and we did not get a clear understanding of the process goals to meet prior to discharge. In addition the food menus were drastically different with the same limited choices daily. Our objection is with Senior Staff and her incomplete stay. She was not prepared for discharge and fell multiple times in first several days home. Now instead of having acute care covered by Medicare we have had to hire a nursing aide at a whopping $390 per week as we do not qualify for Medicaid.

My husband was there for 3 1/2 wks. An aide left him alone in the bathroom to take a personal call…read moreon her cell and he almost fell. Another night he asked for a pillow under his knees and was told, "I'll see if I can find one", and the aide never returned. She also dropped the call button on the floor so he could not reach it and call for help. He was in pain all night until someone came in at 5:00 a.m. and got him a pillow. He developed a bed sore that they originally identified as such, but then tried to cover it up by saying it was "an abrasion". He was promised at my suggestion, to walk 2x/day, but most of the time that did not happen. One Sunday an aide walked w/him in the a.m., but when he asked again in the afternoon, he was told "I walked with you this morning. I'm too busy now and can't do it." I walked by the nurses' station 2 minutes later and found him sitting there doing nothing! Cleanliness is non-existent. Dirty clothes/underwear was put in a drawer with clean and I had to take everything home to wash it. One day someone came in to "clean" the toilet and I watched her clean the toilet bowl with a brush and then proceed to "clean" the top of the toilet seat with the same dirty brush!! Disgusting!!! Some of the people are pleasant, but others are downright nasty and act like they're doing you a favor. They're getting paid to provide patient care and if they don't like it, they should not be there. This place was a huge disappointment to say the least!
