They PROMISED me up, down, left, right, and diagonal, that I would be no farther than 30 minutes from my home. When I get to orientation, after sitting through 8 hours of videos, quizzes, and people talking, I am offered cases 45 minutes to 2 hours away from quakertown area. Those cases were only like 13 hours a week max. They lie to their potential employees and make empty promises.

I have no one to drive me 3x a week and wait till i am done. Dr. wrote script sent it to Bayada. They called set up my 1st appointment/intake. The PT person shows up and tells me her direct supervisor had a " meeting" about me ( no one from there has seen me in person) and the supervisor decided that they would only do 2 in house visits and that i should drive to out patient pt. On Tuesday the Ortho Dr just opened up so i can weight bear and walk on my leg. I called My ins. They said they can not change a Dr. prescription and the" going to an outside pt is just a suggestion". Bayada lied to me . I told the pt woman that i have a panic disorder and if I dont feel comfortable driving a 1 ton vehicle to a pt appointment. I am so angry and have no FAITH in the office staff (supervisors) The pt person seemed nice but i can not comment on her skills. I am currently waiting for my ins to call them and then call me back. I spoke with my patient advocate at least they are helping. I am SO DISGUSTED especially after reading Bayada mission statement of having comfortable IN HOUSE care. I fired Bayada they are horrible and decide on your treatment. I called Nova Care and I have NO PROBLEMS with getting IN-HOME pt.

Within a few weeks, all the staff knew my Mother's name and regularly interacted with her. When I entered the building, I also was personally welcomed by most staff people. The building is well maintained and cleaned. The residents are treated with dignity. The social activities range from a movie theater (with popcorn and a bit of an incline to make you feel like you are in a real theater) to a lounge area where Happy Hours are held everyday. They have exercise classes and outings like lunches and shopping visits. The medical team is extremely helpful and the PT and OT come right to the residents rooms when there is a need for this type of treatment. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to placing a family member in Assisted Living.
