We live over an hour drive from this restaurant but did not regret having made this trip. We had the 5 course menu and opted for a bottle of wine rather than the accompanying wines. We were recommended a Syrah (Planella), a red wine that went well with all dishes. We had a very tasty starter of spring vegetables (peas,...) with burrata. Than a asparagus dish. Than something went wrong in the orders in the kitchen. We should have had turbot but got king crab instead. We did not mind as it was a good replacement. But even though we did not complain our aperitif (fine Cava and Gin Tonic) was offered when paying. This was real customer service. Main was entrecote and 'americain' with fries and lettuce hearts (a bistro classic). For dessert we had a very nice sweet and sour passionfruit dessert. We were fully satisfied with the starter and dessert as clear winners.
The staff is young but very pleasant and doing all things possible to offer all guests a fantastic and personal evening. A good mix of urban cocky and rural no nonsense attitude. When we were there, there was also a group of 7 celebrating a stag night but it did not spoil our evening as they were civilised The restaurant serves around 30 people in a rather small restaurant which makes it rather loud but we still could really enjoy our 'tête-à-tête'. Certainly worth a detour. read more
