The location is the only good thing about this place. The food was bland. We had a group of 4. We got nachos as an appetizer. The bowl was so hot it burned your fingers but the beans in the middle were cold. There was very little cheese and no flavor. The portabello mushroom sandwich was overcooked and tough. The bun was ice cold. The grilled fish and the sesame tuna lacked flavor and portions were small. Side salads were disappointing slivers of iceberg lettuce with no dressing.
And then if the food wasn't bad enough, the waitress was completely rude from start to finish. We clearly were not ordering fast enough. Every request was met with sighs and eye rolls and irritation, and when we needed to split the bill 3 ways and asked for change for our peso's (the ATM's pretty much only spit out 20 notes!) we really got attitude. We left feeling annoyed and unhappy. And this was really shocking because we ate at El Nicho, Spaghettino's, El Chimichurri, Taco's.com, Blanco, El Merkadito and Punta Corcho and had absolutely tremendous service with delicious food!
I hope someone working there will be keeping abreast of reviews because you all really need to step it up and make better use of a gorgeous space, great restaurant name, and a menu that sounds good but needs someone cooking the dishes with more creativity, passion and comfort using spices. read more
