Ok my beef with this restaurant is the following. This is a Salvadorian restaurant and I had Yuca con Chicharrones at other Salvadorian restaurants and like the dish. I had Yuca and Chicharrones in my mind all day at work, so I figure I give this place a try and I drove by and wrote their phone number while waiting for the red light on Firestone, I then drove home planning to call before I jump in the shower to give them time to fix my meal and at the same time I will be ready to eat. So before I jumped into the shower I called them and the some girl answered "Hello", my first thought was, oh did I get the number wrong? So I asked her, is this the Salvadorian restaurant? and she said "Yes", hummm whatever happened to identifying the place for the caller? Sounded like she was answering the phone at her house. So moving forward, I told her I wanted to order the 'Yuca con chicharrones" plate for pick up and I asked how long?, she stated about 20 Minutes, Good that means I don't have to rush my shower, I took my bath, change and 30 minutes later and starving I headed out to pick up my food. When I got there, I approached the counter in the back and said I was there to pick up my plate of "Yuca con Chicharrones" that I have ordered 30 minutes before. I could not believe my ears, when the girl in a devil may care voice, said 'We are out of Chicharrones", that is all that came out of her mouth and she kept watching the 'Novela" on the TV on the wall. I stood there and could feel the pressure building in my veins, so I said to her, 'Why would you wait for me to come all the way over here from Tweedy and Atlantic to tell me you don't have what I ordered?" she just gave me a blank look. At this point her tia/mother/grandmother/who knows, came out of the kitchen and asked if I wanted some strange thing that I could not pronounce instead. I WAS PISSED, I told her that why in the world would she not call me back and tell me they did not have what I wanted, once they figure they where out of it? why make me drive in the rain all the way here to tell me this? and in front of the very few customers they had in there, I let them have a GOOD lesson on customer service, I asked them if they had any idea what a caller ID is, and why not take the number and name of the person that is calling, so they can call them back and explain they did not have what the customer want, MAN did I go into TRAINING MODE, I asked them never to do this to another customer again, because I have seen this restaurant EMPTY as I drive by, and pretty soon they will be out of business like many little restaurants that don't give a royal ass on how to treat the customer. Mind you I ate there once, and it was kind of OK, except for the super loud music and the drunk lady throwing up on the table as she lap danced for the "Owner" with complete disregard for me and my Friend eating a couple of tables away from them, when I seen that lady open her mouth and start throwing up and then cleaning her mouth with the table cloth, I lost it, and got out of there as fast as I could. I would NEVER go there again, and look forward to a better Establishment there once this one goes out of business, which I know is a matter of time. read more
