Dinner seating started at 7 so we had a drink and watched the sunset next door (great people and good cocktails) then headed over. Great greeting, nice table. The food was fantastic- steak for me and monkfish for my wife. The wine and bread were great. We struck up a conversation with a French couple at the next table and hope to see them on the path.

After a bit of research I found this place... and I couldn't have been happier. We shared a wonderful bottle of Portuguese red wine, the equivalent of a caprese salad, and a couple of margarita pizzas. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The salad was big enough for two to share.... and contained lots of lettuce and tomatoes and mozzarella cheese with a balsamic drizzle. The pizza had a wonderful toothsome crust that was slightly charred from being baked in a brick oven. It had the perfect sauce to cheese to basil balance. It was so wonderful to enjoy the taste of Italy while traveling through Portugal.

It was easily the best restaurant experience that we have had in Portugal yet. We both ordered the Peregrino special which included soup, bread with local butter and sardine spread, wine, a main dish of either fish or meet, and a dessert of your choice for 12.50€. The sole waiter (who is also the owner) was friendly and personable as he was taking care of many other customers. Given the chance, we would definitely return!
